a bit expensive without breakfast
Big, comfortable and clean room. Great view, location.
Nice big rooms with comfortable beds. Breakfast restaurant " Nicely's" near to this place
The wifi and phone connection is intermittent at best, but they make it clear that its due to their satellite connection.
Great location, clean room, comfortable bed, hot shower. Nice! And just a couple doors down from Nicely's, a classic diner where we had a great dinner and breakfast with the locals.
Nicely's diner right next door
a bit expensive, but for the location it's alright. didn't have breakfast, but have a good place really nearby. too bad we just stayed for the night
No breakfast included Wifi is patchy (though understandable due to the location) Expensive for what you get - not really $100 a night service or amenities
Clean, comfortable room that was very spacious Great shower and bathroom Fridge, microwave, TV, free parking Close to some lovely scenic walks and an OK market and restaurant next door
Plenty to do in this area even in the off-season with Tioga Pass closed. Lake View Lodge is a convenient, comfortable and a great value for the money. Great not to be surrounded by the summer crowds!
Near Mono Lake with pretty views.
Wifi really sucks, almost unusable.
great location, nice price, great facilities
Toilet didn't not flush to good
Price for a comfy bed
I do not have anything bad to say, we had a very nice stay.
we enjoyed the rest in the room and the drive on Rt. 158. The Park was closed so when we checked in, we were told that route 158 had just as good views as the National Park.
We were suppose to have a commun kitchen but it was close
Very well located!
Only thing, though an important element in hotels for me, was the bed. It was not so clean and too soft (all sheets and covers smelled old and like not washed recently, some red hair found on pillow case, and 2 had some yellow stains that looked from far back, maybe from having been stored for too long and not washed, not sure), that's the only thing that made our stay not so comfortable, otherwise would have been great!
seems recently renovated, close to Mono Lake, nice guy at front desk, good breakfast cafe next door, a small grocery store right next door, gas station close by, parking right in front of the room so very convenient specially if you're in the ground level room.
Heater blew cold air some of the time
Room was large, clean, comfortable beds
The only major complaint is that we had a microwave but when asked for plates or cuttlery they were not available.
good parking next to the room
Nothing in particular. It was just a little outdated and in need of renovation.
-On the way from Yosemite to Death Valley - Close to Mono lake - Big rooms
When I showed up, they didn't have my reservation. I don't know if that was Booking.com's mistake or Lake View Lodge's. I did have a copy of the reservation with me, so they did give me a room and honered the price that I was guaranteed. They were friendly and accomodating.
Lake View Lodge overlooks Mono Lake, a breath-taking site. It is located in th town of Lee Vining, just 12 miles from the entrance to Yosemite National Park. However, the road to Yosemite is closed in the winter and it is a 4 hour drive around to the West entrance. We akiied at Mamouth, and the drive was not long at all. There is a wonderful grocery store a block from the motel which carries all gourmet food including fresh apple strudel by the pound. A good restaraunt is also just a block away.
Like I mentioned, the property's decor is a bit dated and the Internet is very spotty and inconsistent due to the fact that it is satellite-based.
All in all this place serves the needs of a comfortable place to spend the night. It has decent amenities in the room with a coffee maker, iron, microwave, and refrigerator. The decor of the property is a bit dated and sorely needs an upgrade but it is comfortable and warm.
The heater was very noisy when it came on and the bathroom was ice cold in the morning because we closed the door and the heat didn't get into the bathroom which had no separate heater. So in the winter leave the bathroom door open!!!!
Location close to Mono Lake, the guy at the reception was very helpful. It was also the only place open in December in Lee Vining, but was fine for our purpose.
The shower would be at a good temperature and then in an instant would be scalding! That was the only issue.
The room was spacious and comfortable and was convenient to where we were going.
ambiance, room, view, location
Nothing to mention here.
Great greeting upon my arrival and very clean and well cared for property.
Room spacious and bed comfortable. Only problem was that electrical connections were loose. Coffee pot had to be moved before it worked.
The bath was dirty and unusable due to sewage blocking It was very cold so we had to use the air conditioning to warm the room. It made such noise that we just couldn't sleep.
Location: the closest to Mono Lake
Not much in town, few restaurants
Close to Mono Lake, Body ghost town and East entrance to Yosemite. Room was clean and large. Nice grounds and quiet even with 395 so close.
