Was clean and comfortable, no problem or finding what I was looking for.
Dinosaur National Monument was great. But, be sure to leave time for the petroglyphs on the McConkie ranch. There are some good restaurants. Be advised, many are closed on Sundays, Also, things shut down at 9 pm. It is quite a drive here, so definitely allow a at least couple of days to explore,

Vernal has a lot of interesting things both in the town and close by.
We went to the 7-11 Ranch for dinner and it was excellent and reasonable in its price of option. We attended the Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and it was beautiful. We visited some family and had a wonderful day all around.

Lovely town with great restaurants.
Lovely town with great restaurants. It’s the gateway to Dinosaur National Monument and many hiking sites.
In 2020 we stayed longer and did several same day hiking trips. Plenty to do so make sure to visit.
Loved our stay.

It's a fine town to stay in, lots of motels and restaurants, and a great museum or two. The town likes to capitalize on the dinosaur theme as there are replicas, sometimes business-related, on a number of street corners of the main drag. See also the museum. A lot of oil money has gone into the town over the years, see public buildings and war memorials. Dinosaur National Monument is just a few miles out of town, a must see. Big oil "patch" south of town and beautiful drive over mountain pass on your way back to Grand Junction if you're headed that way.

Vernal is a great little city in the NE corner of Utah.
Vernal is a great little city in the NE corner of Utah. The 7-11 Ranch Restaurant is a local mainstay, and we really enjoyed our dinner there as a family. Vernal is close to Flaming Gorge, Dinosaur National Monument, the Uintah Mountains where Utah's highest peaks are located, and is near the UT-WY-CO borders.
Absolutely nothing about this hotel was good except for the hotel receptionist at check in. Our beds were nothing but springs, we had an electrical fixture dangling from the ceiling, loud as hell neighbors, a pool for my daughter that was indoors but closest for the season? Breakfast options weren't refilled and were not exactly a full breakfast aside from the overly dry waffle maker. Juice unfilled, milk half gone. No variety at all. Sketchy and unsafe looking trashy hotel is the best I got.
I liked everything about this hotel. I have stayed in many of the chains and I would put this hotel above all of them. I reserved it only knowing it was close to my destination. I was blown away by this family owned and well done facility. From the superb cleanliness and comfort of the room to the ample hot daily breakfast I have no complaints. Everyone we encountered was friendly from the owners throughout all the staff. I won’t stay anywhere else when I return to the area!
Owners are on site and very helpful. Seemed very interested in helping us get a comfortable room. Upon our arrival, we were given a room that had high-efficiency LED bulbs which were too bright. We asked for a room change and staff found a large room which had softer, more comfortable lighting. The owners and staff seemed very focused on making patrons comfortable. Room was well insulated and quiet. I am highly impressed and recommend this hotel.
The rooms are nicer than you would think by looking at the outside of the property. The breakfast had more than I expected with plenty of an assortment you would expect at a much nicer hotel. They let me check out later than originally planned, no questions asked. I thought it was a great value for what I paid.
The staff were genuinely friendly and trying to help as much as they could. They are short staff and still they were able to manage to run everything. Very good customer service, but the most important thing was that the room was clean the three separate night I stayed at the hotel.
Clean and modern place. Friendly staff, safe environment. Room well equipped. Good Wifi, ok breakfast. Location is a couple of miles outside of the center of Vernal and away from restaurants and shops, but it takes only a few minutes to get there. Great for a short stay.
Included breakfast was OK. The in house restaurant, not part of the hotel (?), is popular not just with the hotel guests. Good price, big portions. Though too calory rich for us.
We used Vernal as a convenient place to stay 3 nights for visiting Dinosaur NM two days.
Sage Motel looks old on the outside, but is updated on the inside. They went to the hotel furniture auction and purchased all the furniture you used to see in upscale hotel rooms from the 1990s.
TV was great
A/C was great
Room was clean
I liked the cleanliness of the room. I enjoyed using the laundry facilities of the hotel. The internet was very good. I was able to sleep well there. The location is very convenient for going to Dinosaur National Park.
The beds are so comfortable we decided to stay another night. Also, the pillows are just the perfect thickness, which is rare in most hotels. It was very clean and looks new. Breakfast was great. We are very happy.
the antlers inn was full and they told us of another hotel they work along side with. they could use our payment there.
we were pulling another vehicle so it was better for parking.
