Concierge Service restaurant & shopping recommendations first class. Reception staff & door staff were also excellent. Spacious rooms, great location for shopping, restaurants & shows.
The staff were very welcoming on arrival and had noted that we were visiting for our first wedding anniversary. We were treated to a bottle of champagne which was a lovely surprise. The hotel's location is superb being right on 5th Avenue and a short walk from many of NYC's attractions. There are several subway stations close by. There were many nice touches such as hot drinks in the lobby each afternoon. The hotel restaurant, Ai Fiori, is very good and is on par with other one Michelin star restaurants. I was also pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room service food which is a step ahead of some of the competition. My wife visited the spa for a massage which she greatly enjoyed. Many of the services in this hotel are priced at a premium level but the majority lived up to expectations so I consider that we got value for money on the whole with a few exceptions as noted below.
We stayed for a week in a 'Residence Suite' which is sold and priced as one of the hotel's best suites. I was a little disappointed that the furniture was quite badly stained in places as was the carpet. While I recognise that accidents happen I would really expect a hotel of this calibre to deep clean or replace damaged soft furnishings. There was little storage for clothing in our room with just half a dozen hangers and no shelves or drawers at all. The ironing board was missing (there was an iron however) and had to be requested. Replenishment of the in-room bar and coffee facilities was a bit hit-and-miss with soft drinks and milk appearing on some days but not others. Although the hotel has a 'house car' on offer to transport guests this was either busy or unavailable on each occasion we requested it. Given the difficulty in getting a cab in NYC this could have been a useful facility had it been a bit more reliable.
We were treated very well by the very friendly and respectful staff. The room looked out at the Empire State Building. Room service food was truly gourmet and not over priced. We got the limousine - Maserati! - to the Met...All in all a memorable stay.
Although there was a very nice spa and gym, there was no swimming pool
Comfortable bed Professional staff Cleanliness
The $1010 price tag for a one night stay.
The Langham Place was a heavenly base for our first visit to NYC. The hotel exceeded all expectations. The foyer welcomed us with a divine floral scent, communal areas were spotless, our suite was worth every premium penny. Our room was stunning, with outstanding views of the Empire State Building. Serviced twice a day, every return was blissful. Measure bar is beautiful and Ai Fiori serves a sensational dining experience. I rarely review hotels but this one deserves so much credit. Thank you for a wonderful memorable stay.
Ideal location, fantastic staff and if you push the boat out the suites are great for familes. Highly recommend.
Staff went out of way to try to accommodate room choice
Steam room in men's spa area was terrible.
Room size Location Staff Food
The personnel were amongst the most helpful, friendly and professional that I have ever met.
I like the location, friendly & efficient staff, ease of going & coming back. It feels like you are living in your apartment.
For a one bedroom suite, there weren't enoguh draws to put folded clothes. Carpet was dirty, shower cubicle too small for the size of the suite, also during a week stay they didn't replnish soap bars for the shower.
Very corporate hotel. Very expensive breakfast for what it is...
Great amenities, location and service! Fabulous bathroom. Corner rooms are fab! Luxurious stay...
i found my bed to be uncomfortable. I have scoliosis, so I can have a bit of trouble finding an appropriate mattress. However, my bf (who has no spinal issues) complained of the same thing. Pillows are very soft and not enough support in the mattress. Everything else was absolutely wonderful and I would recommend this hotel in a second...
The Langham gas the friendliest staff, from front desk to housekeepers! No request too difficult to fulfill....immediately, if not sooner! Join the 1865 Club....the perks are well worth it if you stay at Langham hotels anywhere in the world (Pasadena and Chicago are also wonderful!).
An oasis in the middle of midtown. The staff was outstanding, the room was perfect and the location could not have been better. We travel to New York City often and this was by far the best overall experience. Thank you Langham Place, Fifth Avenue for taking such good care of us.
They could provide more variety for the continental breakfast
we were made to feel very special, rooms luxurious, bar and food excellent. Special mention to Matthew, Tony and Dwayne on front of house who had excellent customer service skills. Also, Shaun and the Hotel Maserati which was available to take us around Manhatten. will visit again.
that we did not stay longer!!!!!
Everything. Cannot fault one bit of it
The level of comfort, attentiveness of staff and vies from the Empire corner rook were memorable.
Everything was wonderful but I think the choice at breakfast could be improved.
Very Spacious Bedrooms (especially for New York) Fantastic Bathroom Fantastic Staff Fantastic Location Just A Fantastic Hotel
The Langham is in keeping with the excellent service at all hotels in the chain. We enjoyed all interactions with the staff including several lovely handwritten notes we received. The rooms are exceptionally large with huge bathrooms and closets and wonderful Empire State views. Very quiet. Spa is nice, if overpriced. Centrally located.
Starting to show wear and seem shabby at the edges- worn carpeting and furniture detracted from the overall experience, could use upgrading.
Bathroom was huge but the shower water pressure was weak and the toilet flush was weak.
We really enjoyed our stay here! The suite was great, staff was nice and very helpful, room service food was delicious! Also very cozy spa area. We had a wonderful time!
Spa treatment are a bit overpriced.
The location is fabulous it's on 5th avenue The staff are unbelievably nice and helpful I have to say this again the staff of the hotel are insanely nice and helpful I took a suite and it was really great
Hotel location makes midtown walkable. The Spa was great and the "free" amenities (gym, Aqualounge, wifi, beds and turndown service) were awesome.
Staying in NYC is always expensive and Langham Place is more expensive than most. But if you get over the initial cost, the hotel's levels of service, amenities and finishes are outstanding.
The staff is very helpful and very kind .
