*Very friendly and helpful staff
*No A.C. *The room and bathroom were very small in comparison to other comparable hotels. *Nearly everything in the room was low quality ranging from the TV to the toilet paper provided.
The staff is top-notch. The location is perfect. It's old (I like old hotels).
It's old. Yeah, this is a minus, too. If I had been traveling on my own dime, I would have skipped this place. It was way too expensive for what it was, I don't care that it was San Francisco, an expensive city, this place is overpriced.
Front desk and consierge were great. Bed was comfortable. Walking distance to union square.
Very noisy at night (saturday)
It is suitably located in the center Staff is very helpful and polite
Even quick breakfast is missing but this is just a minor issue. There's plenty other facilities in the area
The price !
I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived, the hotel is really charming and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Travelling on my own I felt welcomed and well looked after.
The location is great for being central and easy to get around but with the single glazed windows you can hear some street noises at night.
Staff were very friendly. Location was lovely and I loved the hotel décor. Wifi had a strong signal. It was very clean and comfortable.
There was an incident with another guest outside my door at 3am where he was drunk and very noisy whilst locked out of his room, I felt that this incident took a long time to be sorted out. Sometimes the staff were a bit slow, I spent a long time waiting at the reception desk.
Staff on the main desk, was just unacceptable for a hotel like this. The gentleman on the main desk, just tossed the keys to us and that was the check in.
We loved the location. Place was clean, clean clean! The bed was super comfy, with several choices of pillows, a plus! Slept well, and we are light sleepers!
Bathroom was so tiny, I could have sat on the commode, and rested my head on the sink! It would have been great to have had 2 large towels per person, for what you pay, a bit more comfort goes a long way!
Location is ok, near Union Square, and price, though expensive, is in the lower end for the area. The staff were very helpful in arranging several things.
The room was tiny, very old and dusty. The walls were very thin and you could hear everything, both from the hallway and from the street. I didn't have a good sleep.
The hotel was clean and we had great service.
Area in downtown
Lovely suite. Comfy bed. Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Free WiFi.
No restaurant or breakfast facilities. Expensive.
The location was good The bathroom was very clean
Tiny rooms Old building VERY expensive Not worth it
Great welcome and check in from front desk. Great coffee. Comfortable stay.
Walls were thin. Room way overpriced but city was packed due to large conference.
We had a great night while stayin in this hotel..the rom was not big but thats not a problem fir us because i already know it from the first time i make the reservation there.. We love the location!its perfectly in front of supermarket that open 24hours,and realy near to the union square.. Nice staff.. And we got a coupon for 20% discount at lori's diner(beside the hotel)
It's an old classic hotel so never mind about a modern room..but we love it that way..good place to stay
Tired hotel that has seen better days and needs renovating
Comfortable bed. Good shower, the room was small but well appointed. What was outstanding was the friendly and knowledgable staff. From the from desk right through to the cleaners. The hotel is old but still works well. We owned and operated our own hospitality business and know where to look. This team are getting it right at a good price.
Nothing complain about
+ friendly stuff + clean rooms + great location (near Union Square)
- pretty small room
The staff was wonderful. Kevin assisted us on a couple of occasions and it was much appreciated! We were traveling with a toddler and the hotel was very friendly and welcoming for us. The location is so close to everything and within walking distance of the BART. We were right above the downtown street in a nice suite. The crowds were a bit noisy, that is expected in such a location and not a complaint. We slept well as did our child. The bed was nice and we were quite comfortable. Parking was convenient. All of the downtown tourist areas are close by and the cable cars ran up and down the street. Staff was helpful with a map, food options, and any questions.
I really have no complaints.
Location, price, cleanliness. The staff is very friendly, always smiling. It felt good to be there.
The hotel is very close to Union Square - the location is just awesome!! The staff is very friendly and helpful at all times we asked for help. Special thanks to Mr. Ed Flores and to concierge Tony, who gave us great tips about San Francisco.
The hotel is clean and comfortable, but needs some renovation.
Great place in a outstanding location! Staff was very friendly and helpful with everything we asked for. The room was pretty good, we had a suite and it was great for oir honeymoon!!
Windows are not noise proof so you can hear the buses and trash truck every night. SFFD is also working every night since we had always that noise in the room!!
Great location Comfy bed
Amazing and helpful staff that's what made the difference, the human element. Location was plus point. The hotel was petit and just perfect, good value for money.
Internet connection was unstable at times.
