Excellent location for shopping and restaurants! Hotel staff was fairly friendly and, though modest, the breakfast and coffee was free. The lobby looked nice....much nicer than the rooms themselves. The fixtures were quite old. We had a hard time sleeping because it was so noisy. |

My stay at the Larkspur Hotel was excellent. I did arrive early, before the 1500 check in time, but my room was ready. A nice welcome after a long flight. They hotel had my reservation ready and on hand to make check-in very smooth. Great and very accommodating staff. Housekeeping was done to perfection, very clean and always well stocked. Location was great in the fact it was close to great restaurants and good shopping. Local transit(BART and MUNI and the famous cable cars) are all close to make getting around the city so easy. An excellent choice for your stay in San Francisco. I wished my room had a desk/workstation, however the hotel description says not all the rooms are so equipped. So I was not disappointed. |

it was so comfortable and relaxin you felt like you were on vaction we looked at other hotel lobbys and none of them compare to Larkspur. The staff was nice enjoyed speaking with them I will be back me and my best friend and husband had a wonderful time I am the mother of utube singer(imcandice0 the staff will remember us i never met staff members that treated you so good can't wait to go back and see our friends at Larkspur HAPPY HOLIDAYS |

Tremendous location, well decorated and appointed room, nice flat screen TV, great "waterfall" shower head, wonderful view of super luxury living "castle" on top of neighboring high rise apartment building, great room for breakfast, fine breakfast, nice black out curtains. Breakfast was not very wholesome, desk staff was very friendly but suddenly turned "ugly" at the very end of our stay---have no idea why! Bathroom was almost impossibly small. You had to be in the full size tub with shower to get any "move around" room in the bathroom. Moderately noisy from Sutter street traffic. |

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was well-maintained, even though the rooms were small in the style of quaint old San Francisco hotels. The location is excellent for access to Union Square and all of downtown San Francisco. The free WiFi was useless, inoperable in the room and barely operable in the lobby. The manager apologized and said they are trying to improve it. Until this is fixed I can't recommend the hotel to heavy computer-users, but for anyone else it was a great value. |

The hotel was very well located in the city, the breakfast was pretty decent, with fruits, breads and muffins, and the free internet facilities were very convenient. It is not a luxury hotel, but it was fairly comfortable, with a nice LCD TV in the room, and good bath facilities. |
