The staff were knowledgeable, very kind and helpful. The gourmet breakfast was made to order absolutely delicious!
When we spoke up about the (lack of) quality of our room the next morning, Tina quickly found us a much better room in Zona Rosa at the same price. When my hubbie and I returned after a long day touring, we entered our new room to find a complimentary bottle of wine, on ice, and some chocolate covered strawberries! Our first night at Las Palomas was barely acceptable; but the problem was addressed and the rest of the visit was wonderful! Delicious breakfast, and both Rebecca and Tina were helpful and knowledgeable.
We were placed in a room that was not representative of what we 'd seen in photos (quality-wise). It had a kitchenette, but there were no pots or pans that we could find (just one lid!) or bowls. The baseboard heaters were falling apart, and the gas-burning stove did not operate.
The hotel is immaculate, the lodgings were absolutely everything we could want - comfortable bed, two TVs, lovely bathroom, little added comforts such as dressing gowns, guide to Santa Fe, etc. We travelled with a dog - not only was that not a problem, but the staff gave us a goody bag for him. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and polite. Breakfast was lovely, with a choice of omelettes, waffles, bagels, etc. and of far better quality than most other places offering continental breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.
Wi-Fi connection a little slow in rooms.
The staff was helpful. Breakfast was good. The bed was extremely comfortable and the whole trip was relaxing.
Staff helpful, courteous, offered afternoon lattes. Lounge and breakfast area pleasant, clean and food verygood.
Room was off property from main building, drapes did not cover windows, so privacy and security questioable.
The location is great, the staff is phenomenal and the breakfast is fabulous. Add in the fun mix of the other guests and it all adds up to a unique experience that we'll come back for.
The wifi works great in the lobby & the dining area, but too frequently there was NO wifi signal in our casita. Not good!
After we got used to the "Alice in Wonderland" feel of our little room, we loved every inch of it. Beautiful courtyards, quiet peaceful location. Extremely quirky but very lovable. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts were of course unbelievable. I'm already missing the place. We will definitely come back.
The room could have been a little more well maintained. The bedside wall lamps were pretty sad- shades were crushed and burned from the light bulb. They were poorly installed and exposed wires were hanging by the bed. The curtain rods were loose and on the verge of falling down. Simple little things that wouldn't cost much or take any real skill to accomplish might make things more pleasant for visitors.
The breakfast was excellent and the wait staff very accommodating. The shuttle service was outstanding providing quick transfers and wonderful restaurant suggestions. Loved the pinion wood provided each evening for a cozy relaxing fire enjoyed at the end of a wonderful day! THANKS !!!

Breakfast and staff were great
Excellent breakfasts included in daily rate (try the back room surrounded by potted plants). Spacious casitas with loads of Santa Fe charm. Ours had living area, dining room table, full kitchen, king size bed. Grounds are romantic at night, given the lighting. Quiet both day and night.
No door on the bedroom, leaving it open to living area. Dangerous step down into bedroom, tough for drunks and old people.
Comfortable but old of course we were in old town. Convent to everything
For two days that we stayed they were out of soap. We asked every day but we're told they didn't have any. Can you believe it at 250.00 a night
Beautiful buildings and fantastic location.
Nothing not to like.
We really enjoyed the Santa Fe look and feel of the place. Breakfast also was delightful. The service to and from where we wanted to go was also excellent.
Raul in the bar was great. Good suggestions about food, friendly. Very nice. Overall ambiance of the hotel was nice as well.
When our room filled with smoke due to a dirty or clogged chimney, it took two separate phone calls and us packing up our things and going up to the desk to get a new room. Then, we had been forgotten about due to what the desk person blamed on "shift change". We received nothing back for the inconvenience. If I think about the price of this hotel for a single night, and the staffs handling of this situation this was one of the worst hotel stays I have ever had.
The "continental breakfast" was of such high quality this place should be called a B&B! The room was amazing! The grounds were beautiful! It was perfect!!
>nothing not to like about this place!<
The ambience of the adobe village structures made us feel at home. The courtesy and friendliness of the staff was our introduction to Las Palomas, and the whole experience was true to that first impression. The breakfast was extensive, and well-timed, even when it seemed like every one of the guests were there at once! The king bed was even better than home, linens fit well, ample towels, extra blanket, pillows varied from soft to firm...Perfect for a short stay!
Kitchen was minimal...usually salt and a few spices in places like this, especially when equipped with pots and a refrigerator...no oven, just small microwave... #4 not good for extended stay (usually why we use Booking.com).
Location, privacy and roominess.
No decaf coffee packets in room. No room service until I called to complain about lack of towels and maid service late in the day.
Absolutely wonderful staff all around. Love the setting of the accommodations - each area like a small neighborhood, and our room had a quaint, shaded sitting area in front to enjoy morning coffee. Rooms with fireplaces were stocked with wood just outside the door. Breakfast was fantastic - we ordered cooked dishes from the kitchen while fruits, cereals, breads - including fresh baked muffins - tea, coffee were plentiful from the breakfast bar. We enjoyed the sitting room with free espresso fresh from the kitchen after a lovely afternoon on the plaza. Staff was pleasantly helpful with dinner reservations. We absolutely loved our stay here and will return.
Our room was clean and fresh. My only complaint was that 'deep cleaning' probably had not been done in a while. Blinds on the windows did not function appropriately.
The hotel is very nice and clean
Went with other friends and couldn't get rooms in same area. Everything closes at 10pm and no restaurant or bar at hotel.
Cozy, friendly, and charming, with helpful staff.
Location one block off town square. Great ambiance, fantastic staff, best complimentary breakfast we have ever had at any hotel, B&B, etc. either in USA or overseas. Never go anywhere else when in Santa Fe
Walking distance to the Plaza
Disappointed and angry describes our 2 night stay at the Las Palmas. We should have paid more attention to the negative reviews. The room that my husband and I had booked was the Casita with a king bed. The website photos convinced us that this would be a charming getaway in an authentic southwest décor. What a surprise! Where was the log ceiling beams? Where as the quaint adobe fireplace? Where was the modern bathroom with a counter? Where was the charm we saw in the hotel advertisements? What we found was a sad, worn out room that should have been completely gutted years ago. The front door had leaves and dirt piling up on the threshold and the full length dirty glass door was draped with a bent and warped steel venetian blind. Forget much privacy or security. The hardwood floor was warped and there was a dangerous 4 inch step up to the bathroom which had only a pedestal sink and no counter and a step stool to stand on to see in the mirror. There was mold around the tub and several holes and cracks in the tile grout. The air conditioner was mounted in the wall about 3 feet from the head of the bed and blew directly onto the pillows and was extremely loud. The curtains were on short rods that didn't allow closing all the way or they would fall off the rod. When we first saw the room, we should have complained, but were just too tired from a 400 mile drive. To top it all off, the office was locked and no one was there when we tried to check out at 6am. All in all, I felt that the advertisement photos for the Las Palmas were completely false. Big disappointment. We will never stay there again.
Authentic southwest Decorating scheme Room layout Location Breakfast
Location is really good, close to plaza and rail yard. Staff is friendly, nice breakfast, love the fireplace.
We've stayed in the main property before, and found it nicer than "pueblo" where we stayed this time. Historic rooms are great with tons of charm, but smell very funky, like dead things in the walls.
