The location, it was central to everything There was no proper lock on the door and, to be honest, I felt quite scared during my stay. I would not go back- and although the price was lower than others I had looked at, it was still extremely overpriced considering that I did not feel at all safe during my stay. |

I like the hotels close proximity to all the sites and how the hotel had everything I needed. The room I spacious , with a comfy tv, a tv and I felt safe and secure in my hotel room. The hotel staff were freindly and very helpful. I will come back to this hotel in the future. |

I liked the situation of the hotel in the middle of Manhattan, it was near the Subway and we did have access to everything we needed. We only spent the nights since we were visiting all day long but it was nice, clean, the room cleaned every day. The bathrooms were shared and it was alright, the're clean too. It's a old hotel, so we did have one night were the pipes were grumbling for 5 minutes. The main lift is really not enough but the staff is really helpful about it and if you're waiting in the lobby they use the staff lift to get to your room. (I wasn't really in the mood to go by the stairs for ten floors). |

Good location for walking/sightseing/shopping. The rate is great for this location - and the hotel super for a visit to Manhatten (after all you're not there to stay in your hotel...) Simple but sufficient room. We asked for separate beds, but that was not noted by the staff - and not available. No big deal though. |

Price and location 1 bath room/toilet for 21 room, Elevator dirty, Window face to a close wall, very bad bed noisy, $1 per luggage kept in a corner of the hotel entrance. |

The location of the hostel is brillant There are many things I did not like about the hostel. It is by no means a hotel, it should be called a hostel if anything. The hostel is occupied by social welfare people, I saw very few paying guests while I was there. I did not feel safe in the hostel or my property. My first night there NYPD were called to a room down the hall were a huge argument took place which did not help wih safety matters. There is one toilet per floor! I don't mind sharing a bathroom that is what I agreed, but to have one per floor that is shared with the shower?! Surely this is not a correct ratio!! My windows were blocked by a wall so my room was constantly pitch black and without air. Some staff were nice but very uninformative and snippy. hated my stay! |

Location. The staff recommended good value taxi to take us to Newark Airport. The noise from the water pipes. Perhaps it cannot be helped since it is an old building. |

Just the fact that it was close to the city center was positive. The room price was too high and didn't include breakfast. After the first night, when I came back home my room wasn't done so I went to the reception desk to make sure they would have cleaned it on the next day. The day after the room was done but my towels were not changed so I had to ask for clean towels too. Also, they provide a quite expensive Internet connection but at the reception desk the clerk didn't know how to start a session to browse the Net.They also charge 1.00 USD to leave the luggage after check-out if you want to leave it at the hotel before departure. |

... nothing, only it's was cheap and a lot less dirty than the people said on the web site. Booking,com made a mistake and the people at latham did not KNOW....the personel as not able to do manything at the same time. |

The location was excellent, close from Times Square and other nice places: we were able to move in the city really easily. We liked the Cafe 28, conveniently located next to the hotel, where we took all our breakfasts and some meals! The price was pretty competitive for such a good location in New York and a double bedroom. We really appreciated to have a sink in the room and the room was very clean. The staff was not really nice: we wanted to pay our 2 nights in cash but did not have all the money when we arrived, so the staff got really angry and explained to us it was really complicated. It was our second stay at Latham Hotel but they were still afraid we would go without paying! So we finally paid with our French credit card, which meant charges and fees for us. The lift is so slow... we were at the 11th floor so we had to wait a really long time. The bathrooms were always occupied, especially during the mornings, so we had to try every bathroom of every floor! The price was a lot more expensive than predicted because of all the added taxes, and we had to pay 1$ /luggage to let our luggage after the check-in. |

I was not pleased with this hotel. The receptionist was rude, the elevator took forever to arrive. It is small and dingy. Hallways smell like a hospital lavatory. Room is tiny, and the mattress has seen better days. On the last day in the hotel, the toilet got clogged and overflowed. |

the rooms were clean,fresh towels everyday, good location! In New York you're outside more than in the hotel,Check in, drop your stuff then go out and come back late, sleep then go out again, Why pay more??the guys on the front desk were nice and helpful. |
