The location was great. Very central so it's close to a lot. Comfy beds. Free pastries for breakfast every day.
The building was a little old but not a big issue.
The neighborhood is ok.
Breakfast ridiculous, almost nothing to eat, no tables to sit down, we cannot call it breakfast what it is provided. Parking not free, expensive. The prices too expensive for what it is. Oh, and always problems with internet, not connecting properly.
The stuff, the location
the breakfast ( too poor) value for money, furniture and sheets were too old didn't like at all
Nice clean hotel close to the Presidio and very comfortable. We stayed fro three nights then away for the weekend and back for another night, this was where we almost had a disaster. As we were leaving for the weekend, I asked as an afterthought whether my booking was fine for the return night after the weekend. When this was checked, they had booked that night, but a month earlier and showed us as "no shows" for that night. Lucky I asked and they managed to find us a room. Heaven knows what we would have done if they had no room for us, and totally their mistake. Anyway we resolved it, but mention it as it is always worth checking if you are splitting your stay as we did. Otherwise a great place to stay. Breakfast across the road is great, the hotel breakfast was a bit ordinary to say the least.
Convenient to my son's residence. Close to bus service.
Good spot if you need to be in that part of the city, which has few other options.
Hotel is badly in need of renovation.
Only 10 min by car from downtown.
No fridge in the Room. You can have it for 10$ per day.
dated room & bathroom no air conditioning or central heat not well sound proofed bartender was rude
Access to the JCC
Smudge on window which I asked to have cleaned which was not done
Well located, with good public transport access to main tourist areas. The hotel was much quieter at night than expected, bearing in mind its location.
Few restaurant opportunities in the area in the evening and none in the hotel.
The hotel location was perfect for our trip and the room / value was excellent.
No fridge, no microwave. would have liked that option.
Great price for the city and quiet
A little dark and hard to control temperature.
The hotel staff were superb! This is a mid range hotel and they strive to show 5 star service. Even the cleaning staff were chatty and polite.
The hotel is a little dated structurally, but the owner(s) have done a good job devorating the place, maybe just a little rough around the edges but by no means a reason to skip past this place on a browser.
Proximity to the park and transportation. Quiet. Beds and bedding great.
staff was good, room was good
i like coffee in my room and a refrigerator for my water and food
Very nice facility. Comfortable rooms, quiet, clean. The Hotel's location was perfect for us. We were able to walk to Golden Gate Park and to Union Street in the other direction which are the two places we wanted to visit.
i like the free coffee and tea in the lobby.
the elevate is old and slow.
It was a great location for us, and the staff was anxious to make the stay enjoyable. It's an older building - nothing fancy - but it has been nicely maintained. And public transportation was readily available for those who had no car with them.
The staff were terrific. Friendly and helpful.
The rooms were not great. My bathroom was dreadful. The noise from the floor above was a bit irritating ( I could hear the guest above walking around, hoping in and out of bed, flushing the loo etc)
Nice neighborhood location away from Union Square near Union street. Very nice reasonable pricing, clean, quiet
Older hotel that could benefit from some redecoration but large comfortable room. Staff were helpful. Biscuits, muffins and all day coffee nice touch.Location good if you use the public transport system.
Needs work in lobby etc just to bring more up to date.Price seemed high versus other places we stayed in Europe but guess thats just San Francisco supply and demand
They allow dogs! No back eight in the morning. Close to the hospital - within walking distance of everything – excellent location.
A little rundown - paint and other surface finish upgrades needed.
The staff was friendly
Cleanliness wasn't the best for a $300+/nt hotel.
very old, too expensive!! more like a motel the breakfast is a joke
