Rooms need upgradescomfortable
Convenient for the purpose of my visit
The bath/shower is "prehistoric" and still uses a dirty sheet that sticks to you when you shower. The shower gel and shampoo are sub-standard. For the price, the overall package is not up to standard.
It would have been nice to have more that just sweet rolls for breakfast.
Very relaxed and friendly hotel. Loved the location. Very close to excellent grocery stores as well. Allowed by visiting family to park in the garage for the day.
Not as close to downtown as I would have liked, but nice hotel and staff. Views are OK, not worth the extra money.
The staff and Rooms were nice. Cafes close.
Comfortable beds and stylish room. It was in very close proximity to the surgery center
Bathroom not clean. Moved to three rooms. Maids cackling outside door in early morning.
Limited in room entertainment - few cable channels; no electronic movie service (can get DVDS at front desk). No room service.
Good sized rooms, location in Pac Heights, Muni access, friendly staff, small kitchens, light bev service in lobby during day.
No room service.
The hotel is an old property purchased by Joie de Vivre. It's been improving. Good location. Nice staff. Bus stop in front of hotel.
Excellent, friendly customer service. Central location in Richmond area. Large rooms with kitchenette.
There no tub, yet their a vanity table, any way the shores were great, I have written a poem called "Shower" so you can't go wrong.
The rooms had space to breath, Cute intimate kitchen is a plus, the view of city is wonderful, especially on the third floor. I love to cook and missed the warm of meals freshly cook, the smell, look of set table. The towels are as soft as cotton balls.
The room was clean, except for the carpet, which had a couple of foot print grease stains. The walls were thin, so if someone coughed in the next room, it seemed like they were in your room. I can wear earplugs to sleep, so I didn't hear anything at night.
The friendly front desk people and maids. The location seemed safe to walk in the morning and evening. The free tea, coffee and muffins. The big glass window in our room was clean, so the view of the city was great. The free dvd movies.
There are very few amendities. The rooms feel sparse and the bathrooms very utilitarian. It did not feel like a Joie de Vivre property....more like a comfort inn.
Our daughter in law was having a baby at CPMC and the location for walking back and forth to hospital was excellent. The hotel is very clean.
Walls are thin. Blinds (which were broken) and drapes need an update. Kitchen could use a normal-sized frying pan; only a mini was available.
Reasonably priced parking. Amazing view! Convenient to restaurants and markets. Clean.
Not sufficient Kitchen utilities for four.
Vety friendly and helpfull staff. Location in quiet area with good muni connections super. Would cetainly return!
No tea/coffee making in room (available 24 hours in reception No aircon - I know they were being "Green" but if you\re doing this buy some cups and glasses - everything was disposable and wasteful. The lobby area was small and cramped. The first room we had was near an aircon outlet and noisy but we were Moved immediately and with no problem when we complained.
Large comfortable room Helpful staff Overall a good hotel The hotel is not central but there is a great bus service and we found many areas we wouldn't have discovered if we'd stayed Downtown.
Price is high, but in line with San Francisco prices. Good coffee for breakfast but could have some fruit or yogurt to supplement pastries.
Great neighborhood. Quiet residential area with fun restaurants. Easy access to MUNI bus lines.
The breakfast was poor, I was expecting more
The building was a little old but not a big issue.
The location was great. Very central so it's close to a lot. Comfy beds. Free pastries for breakfast every day.
Breakfast ridiculous, almost nothing to eat, no tables to sit down, we cannot call it breakfast what it is provided. Parking not free, expensive. The prices too expensive for what it is. Oh, and always problems with internet, not connecting properly.
The neighborhood is ok.
the breakfast ( too poor) value for money, furniture and sheets were too old didn't like at all
The stuff, the location
Nice clean hotel close to the Presidio and very comfortable. We stayed fro three nights then away for the weekend and back for another night, this was where we almost had a disaster. As we were leaving for the weekend, I asked as an afterthought whether my booking was fine for the return night after the weekend. When this was checked, they had booked that night, but a month earlier and showed us as "no shows" for that night. Lucky I asked and they managed to find us a room. Heaven knows what we would have done if they had no room for us, and totally their mistake. Anyway we resolved it, but mention it as it is always worth checking if you are splitting your stay as we did. Otherwise a great place to stay. Breakfast across the road is great, the hotel breakfast was a bit ordinary to say the least.
Convenient to my son's residence. Close to bus service.
Hotel is badly in need of renovation.
Good spot if you need to be in that part of the city, which has few other options.
No fridge in the Room. You can have it for 10$ per day.
Only 10 min by car from downtown.
