Great location! Right next to everything I needed down down. Hotel is super old and they are currently rebuilding. Breakfast is basic. Wish they had a shuttle service.
Heat didn't work the first night, was not comfortable that they let the homeless hangout in the lobby.
Really good location to launch from, easy stroll Uptown or the FQ and close to Car stops. Friendly staff helped get my tours sorted.
Crowded breakfast room - all seats and tables occupied, had to skip it.
It was downtown.
Dirty and smelly. Parking was located away from the hotel.
I loved the location, the secure parking garage, and the breakfast options. The staff was very friendly, and everyone spoke in passing. The price of the room was reasonable. We had a weekend filled with fun, so we didn't spend much time in the room.
I wasn't crazy about the room being so small, but it is an older hotel. They are in the process of remoldeling, however it didn't affect our stay.
The hotel is quite dated but I think people mistake this for being dirty, it's not. We found the room and bathroom to be very clean. The free breakfast was great with a good selection of food. The wifi kept cutting out in our room which was annoying. The location was great, in a nice area near to restaurants and also a train station. My only big criticism was that the hotel was undergoing some building work and when we came back to the room one early afternoon we couldn't really relax with the sound of drilling and banging going on until around 6/7pm. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to be in a central location and who won't be spending much time in the room
building had character; free breakfast wasn't bad; staff was very accommodating. room was large with nice view. shower was good.
sleeper sofa was not comfortable when pulled out. water was hot and had to run to get the cold.
No hot water, the phine didn't work, I had to open the air conditioner box to adjust the heat and air.. Overall was a terrible experience.. Had to change rooms at 9:30 at night. The vally car was 15 minutes late opening the garage to get the cars.. I had to be at a race that mopening, and my car was locked in the garage.. The self park behind the hotel was closed..
Staff were helpful and wifi was not bad
did NOT look like the pictures at all. Hotel and room were very run down and old. Room had broken lamp, shower head did not work properly and paint peeling off walls. Also bed was not a full queen size even though we were reassured it was.....trust us it wasn't! hotel is being replaced....wish we were informed as we would have chosen a different place to stay. Overheard two other guests expressing their disappointment at the hotel and its appearance, so we were not the only ones who felt this way.
it was right next to the Convention centre
place is old and not very clean
location to the convention Centre is good
see thru curtains looking at the street lights all night, tiny room, internet was down half the time, elevator had major problems and had to use the fire escape mast days, one elevator not in use.
The location was great. Just a two minute walk to the Amtrak station, and a very short walk to Dealy Plaza. Breakfast was like any other motel, but it was adequate for my needs.
I didn't like the room itself. The hotel is very old, and has not really been updated. The paint was peeling off, and the plaster was cracked and practically falling off in the bathroom above the tub. But, if you're traveling by train it's convenient for that.
the location was perfect , i ran the Dallas Marathon .
it was in disrepair, shower had running water , i could not get rest until it was fixed, tolet ran , something in the room made me very ill for week , strange smell from the vent unit , I developed a sinus infection that I'M STILL HEALING FROM!!!! I've been unable to work for five days
Close to Dealy Plaza and JFK museum which was the main reason for our visit. Also close to union station. Breakfast options were substantial given that it is included with the room. Staff were friendly
The hotel is a few blocks away from places to eat, with really nothing close by. There is no bar downstairs from the hotel. The room was quaint. There was maintenance happening with the elevator which left 1 elevator available.
I am sure this was once a good Hotel, but now a Little renovation would be good.
We had a lovely stay, the free breakfast was excellent & the staff were friendly and helpful.
room clean. hotel staff was helpful. very nice brekafast
room facilities quiet old - hot/ cold . water were barely adjustable. no bathtub closure
Its proximity to Dealey Plaza and the JFK museum, the purpose of my visit. Old, cosy, comfortable atmosphere, very friendly staff. Great value for money.
Free fresh baked cookies at night. Supposedly haunted rooms with tours. Very courteous, helpful and friendly staff. Waffles for breakfast. Reasonable corner room with a decent view.
Only one elevator worked. Running out of waffles for breakfast.
Location Hotel history
Beds and tv were outdated
It had character
in need of many repairs
Great staff Good location Has a European feel Loved the fresh baked cookies in the evening - nice touch Good breakfast selection Does need some renovation, but would stay there again.
I like that the hotel was an old Art Deco hotel but the up keep was lacking therefore causing me to relocate to another hotel. It is a shame because on paper it appears to be so beautiful.
I didn't like how rundown it was. It felt dirty and gloomy. It could be an amazing old hotel.
The old fashioned style. WE heard that the hotel will soon be refurbished in modern style - SHAME. Refurbish in the old style and sell it as that.
The lift was skruffy.
Location and price were amazing! I enjoyed the included breakfast which included 4 hot dishes, waffle maker, many pastries, juice, coffee, and cold cereal.
Only one elevator was working, my heating did not work properly. Rooms were small.
Some charm. Bed was comfortable but oddly bouncy.
Only one elevator- didn't work well. VERY outdated. TINY bathroom-had to sit sideways on the toilet. Breakfast was very Motel 6ish.
