Construction was going so that was the drawback but any how it was a good deal.
May 19, 2015
TV had no remote, phone didn't work, no coffee cups, used cigarette but on floor, and serious renovations. Overall poor
Location downtown near JFK sites
May 19, 2015
TV didn't work in room Hotel seemed dirty Staff were rude when we asked questions, if they weren't too busy checking their phones to serve us Refurb workmen constantly using elevator so it was frequently out of use Decor is very dated but it's getting a refurb
Good location for downtown

Everything! This hotel is under Major refurbishment and should have been closed. We booked and paid for a twin queen bedded room but was given a double only. The rooms are old and musty. The volume on the TV did not work, very small pillows on lumpy beds. The breakfast was very poor there was not ever butter or spread they said they had run out, for 3 mornings !!!

Water from the sink was a bit hot. Bathtub wouldn't drain when taking a shower
May 7, 2015
It should not have cost over $100 for a poor amount of amenities provided.
May 6, 2015
the bathtub was broken
the breakfast is delicious

Building work was being done. Was not aware this would be the case when booked it.

well - under construction made things a little hard. It was not explained when booking and should have been. It had nor bellman - trying to get the luggage cart throught the front door was NOT EASY due to the two by four. Had to ask someone walking by to help. We could clearly hear conversation from room next door. We were told that food food be offered at 6:00am but was not until 7:00 so my daughter went to volleyball tounament w/out food. Othere than that I would return.
Loved the vintage style - Love the location

The room was nothing like what it looked like online. Very small and there was a weird smell in the bathroom. Also the fact that we have to pay $20 for valet, yet drive around the block to get there was annoying.

Everything. We couldn't check in till 3pm. No good parking. The elevator smelled awful. The Bed was so Aweful, hard & out of date. Motel 6 has better rooms!

The elevator was so old I had a panic attack in it while it grinded it's way through ten floors without lighting up any numbers. The doors don't touch the ground, so you can hear and smell your neighbors. The rugs were so disgusting I kept my shoes on the whole time. There was a condom wrapper in the closet,

Wifi was only good for basic email.
The location was great. Only a few blocks from the Dallas Convention Center, where I had business. The hotel had character, but needed upgraded and rejuvenated.
March 21, 2015
My friend got trapped in the elevator!
The desk clerk was very sympathetic!
March 18, 2015
The wi-fi didn't seem to work the last few days of our trip. It is currently undergoing renovations, but they did a great job to make sure that didn't impact guests. Upgrades will make it a La Quinta, but it looks like it will still maintain the quaint little boutique hotel appearance and feel.
The majority of the staff was EXCELLENT! They were very accommodating and willing to help when assistance was needed. The breakfast was GREAT! The location was FANTASTIC!
March 17, 2015
The hotel was under construction while we stayed, the rooms right down the hall we're gutted and smelled of paint and dust. The room was small and had an old box style tv... I'm sure once it is turned into LA Quinta Inn like it is getting done I bet it will be way nice.
It is within walking distance of the convention center. It's cool that it's an old historical building
March 13, 2015
The place looks hideous. Looks like it is out of a horror movie. Very very creepy. The carpet in the room had stains and the furniture was so ugly, some even broken. The air-con unity in the room was noisy and dusty. The phone in the room does not work. I would never go back to this place.
Just the location. Staff was friendly but very few staff in the hotel.
March 12, 2015
Everything else. No hot water, trashy, construction, unclean, rust in the toilet.
Lenny. The front desk clerk.
March 10, 2015
they are remodeling the hotel. The carpets are very old, even torn and they look dirty, the room is not vaccumed often (not once in 4 days)
Perfect location, you can visit every histórical point from the hotel. You can find coffee in the lobby all day long and at night, cookies and milk. The breakfast was good but they close very early, at nine am

Everything was perfect.
The rooms are great and comfortable. The breakfast is great. The staff was wonderful. We Really enjoyed our stay.
March 10, 2015
One of the staff at the front desk was extremely unpleasant, the room next to ours was under construction which filled the hall with dust. There were stains on the bedding and the heater didn't work.
March 8, 2015
construction underway lack of water pressure
location and view

The bed was ok, but the pillows were more firm than I like. Overall, I slept just fine.
I liked the fact that the Hotel Lawrence had character. We only stayed over night, but we were very pleased.
