Only thing i liked was seeing an old school elevator but it never worked.
They were too strict for a dingy hotel. Price changed when i got there. From $96 a night to $150. Way over priced. I didn't leave because i knew it would b hard to find a new place. I had to walk to the 4th floor like 90% of the time.
You will fully experience San Francisco - easy walk to cable car, Moscone Center, BART, amid full-range population from street sleepers lining up for free breakfast, to young professionals out for their morning jog, to couples out for an evening's fine dining. A third the cost of upscale hotels closer to Moscone.
Shared bath -- but I knew that going in. Majorly screeching sliding gate in elevator, though it was progressively ameliorated (OK, "oiled") from day to day after my complaints.
I booked the hotel as I needed a hotel to be close to Union Square, only 3 blocks away. …
Hotel is located is located in a little rough neighborhood, one block away it changes to a lot better. Homeless people was almost sleeping in front of the main entrance. No kidding. Room was not clean, noicy, and towels fell apart when drying. Room got free wifi. People were nice.
decent hotel given location,friendly staff.
there was spiderwebs and dirt in the corner of our room, stained blanket, and the light burned out almost immedietly.
Broken heating system
Location to market center area for business. Can walk from BART or TRAIN stations.
Street noise until late in the evening with cafes open until late across the street; no Air Conditioning.
Bed was not comfortable. All linens (bed and bathroom had holes). No air conditioning. Couldn't get tv to work. Room was very small. No unloading space in front of motel. Required copy of id for all occupants and did not return to us at end of stay. Definitely will not recommend to friends nor will we ever stay there again.
Front desk clerk was rude and unprofessional; room and hotel were unsatisfactory; very deceived by the reservation details.
A fuse in our t.v. went out on the first night and the room smelled of burnt wire for a while and we informed the front desk. They didn't fix it until the middle of the next day. They keep giving us the run around about it being fixed. They said they would call us with updated information about it being fixed which they never did we kept having to bug them about it. They didn't give us another room or a discount for our inconvenience the customer service there is horrible and I will never stay there again or recommend anyone staying there either. They also don't have a parking structure for their guests and you have to pay 30 dollars a night to park at a near by garage. Horrible experience.
Location was nice. Staff was helpful.
Did not have onsite parking. Breakfast was Coffee and Orange juice.
Location is good
Terrible costumer service. Completely unorganized payment and booking system that belongs in the 70s.
Great attention from the staff
Good value for the money. Close to Union Square, but on the fringe of the Tenderloin. Very much like a Motel-6 ... nothing fancy, limited amenities, but clean.
Hotel staff not friendly. Security deposit of $250 .... suggests no trust of guests and previous damage. Policy of no cancellation ...... first time I have experienced that ... allows for no flexibility in travel dates.
I think they have charged me usd250 for incidentals which I still have yet to request for reverse
The room and the bathroom were clean and comfortable, wi-fi working and the location allows you to get almost everywhere on foot or by bike. The price is good, but make sure you include parking fees in your calculations, unless you use public transport. There is a good parking lot next to the hotel.
The hotel has very rude and unhelpful staff. They treat you as if they were annoyed that you come to them, one of the guys almost shouted at us, when we tried to ask him some questions. Only one person was pretty nice. There is no possibility to cancel or change the reservation, even 3 months before arrival. Be also prepared to have extra $250 for a deposit. We wanted to sell the reservation, but the staff didn't want to charge us in advance (!) which is necessary to use hotel reservation selling services. They also didn't want to let us keep bikes in the hotel (even the hotel lobby in the corner) for a couple of hours, so if you have bikes, be prepared to keep them in the car or somewhere else. Check-in lasts half an hour, if there are people waiting in line in front of you go have some coffee and save your nerves. The room was freezing (5th floor), staff were claiming there is some heating activated automatically at midnight, but we never felt it. We had to sleep in socks and sweatpants. There are many homeless people around (it's downtown SF, so you have to get used to them if you want to stay at this place), but also many young people and tourists going to parties, restaurants and cafes so it's not that disturbing.
the bed (huge)
scary area with some strange folks doing their strange things
I could open the door to my room with any key. The shared bathroom+shower.
I had somewhere to sleep
Location in the very center of the city - but you need to accept crowds of homeless people in this district. Cheap price. No difficulties with free WiFi.
Very basic breakfast at the hotel lobby.
It's a hotel with shared bathroom, the room includes TV, fridge, microwave, and bath stuff with towel. Wifi was good at the top floor (5th) Bathroom was clean. Stuff were helpful.
Only one bathroom and toilet for each floor. Breakfast was worse than basic. Room gets cold.
The location is almost perfect, especially if you're not a driver as everything is pretty much on the on the doorstep, and the city is extremely easy to navigate on foot.
The staff were quite prickly and standoffish, not a very welcoming atmosphere, the "breakfast" boasted in the room rate is a cup of coffee/orange juice left out in the reception area, which is fine if you're happy eating out anyway, but disappointing if you were expecting to wake up to a meal.
The staff was very kind and the bathroom, even though is shared, was always clean.
The location is good because is close to downtown, but the area where the hotel is is creepy and there are a lot of people in drugs...
