I like the atmosphere and style of the hotel. The personal Kureg in the room was a great touch!
When we arrived there was no one there to direct us to the front desk, that was alittle confusing since there was no staff to be seen, but no that big of a deal.
Location and service was great. Very clean rooms and felt like I was in a comfortable environment.
Hotel self parking was two blocks from the hotel. Could not get my room temperature to feel cold, only cool..and could not take air-conditioning off auto.
The bathroom was very nice with lots of room. The beds were quit comfortable.
I was very disappointed in the air controls. They would shut off when you were not moving around! I woke up sweating both nights. For that reason alone I will not return
How small the room was.
Clean room, comfortable bed.
The beds were very comfortable. Very easy access to the trolley.
There is no one available at the front desk 24 hours/day. There was a refrigerator in the room, but no microwave. No swimming pool. Cleaning room staff cleaned room said they would bring back face towels.....never did.
It's just far enough from the noise and chaos of bourbon street/downtown area to sleep at night without hearing it all. But close enough that leisurely walk puts you right in the thick of everything. My husband and I fell in love with the restaurant and lounge. So convenient and the food was awesome. I lost my engagement ring on this trip and the staff was very supportive and more than helpful. (Not at the hotel itself.) Also we were too early for check in, so they valeted our vehicle and held our bags so we could enjoy the day without having to park elsewhere or lug around baggage. This was our first time here as normally we stay closer in to the quarter. We will be back. Highly recommend.
That we had to leave!
The doorman was Excellent!
Staff was never at the front desk. I left my room at 7 a.m. one morning and it still was not visited by housekeeping until after 6 p.m. I had to wait 30 minutes after an exhausting day for my room to be cleaned.
The beds were comfortable. Miss Scarlett was star attraction.
Location is a bit away from main attractions. The food wasnt to our taste. The rooms could have been cleaner. We had dust on the bathroom floor when we arrived and it was still there when we left 3 days later.
The price is spot on for what you get. I liked the fittingly modern decor and appreciated that the friendly staff met all of my requests.
My only complaint is a small one: the toiletries are "built in." So A) you don't get to bring home any bottles of the yummy C. O. Bigelow shampoo and body wash, and B) it felt super weird knowing another naked stranger had used the very same hand pumps, probably even that same day. Just...weird.
Clean Simple Friendly staff Next to amazing bar. Also internal bar is quite good.
Bathtubs in rooms only on floors 1-4 :( Can be loud depending where you are. Rooms are small. Don't order breakfast the two times I've had it it was inedible.
We felt very welcomed. We really liked the location, as it was close to the train station, the WWII museum and the street car/public transportation. The room was wonderfully quiet and restful.
Friendly staff water on entry bathrooms
layout of room
The hotel is on transportation..this is great! There are restaurants, attractions and many things to do and see very close! When I go back I will stay at the Hotel Modern
I liked that the room was nice and was close to where I needed to be in the business district. It was clean but I had to request a different room because the first was barely larger than a cost closet.
Though close to my final destination it was far from the tourist attractions and there were drug deals taking place in plain view across the street. It was in a less than desirable part of town with no parking and expensive valets. I didn't feel safe there with my kids walking around after dark. There are no restaurants nearby and the only available food is upscale in the hotel restaurant and not worth the cost.
The main lobby was nice
Staff were disorganized The restaurant had long waits or not enough staff to serve Room wasn't clean I ordered room service one time and the food came in a box, was cold and basically in edible
The modern look
Small gym, small rooms, no pool, bad parking not close way far from the French quarter's no ice machine nor soda or snack machine in the hallways basic cable other than the bed being durable to slp in hotel needs a lot of improvement
Staff and location.
The staff,the food and location.
Having to leave.
All the different taxes, they charge us with 5 different taxes
The location of the hotel was perfect for the reason we were staying there.
They did not have any vending machines at all in the hotel or ice machines on floors.
Floors were not as clean as they should have been.
Decorations Helpful staff
The room was small and it didn't have a closet (room 210) The a/c leaked The room needed some work: a towel hanger fell off the door, there was a Kleenex stuffed in the peep hole on the door
Beautiful quite location in front of Lee Circle which was quite stunning as we sat to eat breakfast at the restaurant downstairs. Décor was very modern. Comfortable, elegant and very well priced! I mention quite because anything closer to Canal Street or Burbon Street is sooo noisy. Street Car could be taken conveniently across the street from the Hotel!
The proximity to museums, eateries and the streetcar line.
The rooms were a bit small and pricey.
