The receptionists we mainly had to be in touch with had a general unhospitable attitiude. We wanted to pay seperately for the rooms we had booked but only one family was charged. When asked for a correction, this time the other family was charged with both rooms and were not given written a recepit. It stayed on our statement for 6-7 days. One room occupants were woken up at the middle of the night by staff's mistake for another room. Another night, when we came back after room service and found our room's door wide open! When we informed the receptionist, she was rude at first, only after we found out nothing was stolen (we had not left valuables around) she apologised and said she would file a complaint. Although we had requested quiet rooms on upper floors 3 months prior to check-in we got lower floor rooms and one of them had noise coming from the AC unit outside. The AC in the room is very noisy too..
The rooms are clean enough, decoration is hip and the hotel is about 15 minutes walking distance to the French Quarter. Security and the bellboys are friendly.

The rooms don't have Iron or Ironing board, we had to call the front desk twice, before we received one!
April 11, 2015
The bathroom sink was so small and close to the wall it was difficult to wash ones teeth. I hit my toes in the beds wooden leg several times because the room was small.
The parrot, unfortunately it went to bed at 6 pm

The room is very little $5 bottles of water in the fridge Valet is not 24/7 No iron/board No Microwave Terrible location for walking No Classic N.O resturants nearby No ice machine Thin walls; heard neighbors full conversations. Stay here as a last resort or if you are here strictly for business, it's not a place for those on vacation or who want to explore New Orleans for the first time.
I liked the bed, Valet was quick/ they're all cute, they have a talking parrot at the desk; that's it!

The rooms need to have a microwave.
You can't beat the price for downtown New Orleans.

Affordable price, comfortable room and friendly staffs.
March 24, 2015
Small room, tiny bathroom with hardly a shelf, no tub
March 21, 2015
Hard bed and my room was next to the patio door. I heard people coming and going all night.
Super friendly staff, clean rooms, great shower!
March 10, 2015
The room was so tiny and the carpet was coming off the floor by the wall. The staff was not very helpful at all. No vending machines or ice machines at all. Signs say there are vending machines though. It just seems like a really old hotel they tried to modernize and didn't do a very good job. The a/c didn't even work half the time and we were told we would have a coffee maker in our room and it was nowhere to be found. Overall it was fun, but definitely way overpriced for a closet sized room.
The convenience of having the restaurant downstairs was nice and the location is about 1 mile from the french quarter. The rooms were interesting in their "modern" style.

room was really dusty, no microwave
The location was great for Mardi Gras

Nice people, very accommodating. Clean, affordable, excellent location. What more could one want!

No window. Maybe next time.
I would stay again The valet was extra. Nice.

Staff was very helpful
February 27, 2015
Had to pay the entire bill up front, I know it was Mardi Gras but even so - probably resulted in desk staff not being particularly friendly or apologetic about the problems we had, e.g. keycard stopping working, bar not serving on a Sunday afternoon. It was very cold and all the downstairs areas were freezing, especially parts of the restaurant. I asked for an extra pillow when I was sick and was told there was not a spare one in the hotel (!) - they brought me a pillow case full of sheets - rather like a brick but nice try. Safe was depth of a wall only - so couldn't put all of our valuables away.
The guys on the concierge desk were fabulous - friendly, informative and helpful. Shower was fantastic. Decor good.

Need more waiters

The room had a wet carpet odor.
The stay was satisfaction

Cute rooms, nice view, go see Miss Scarlett, she's a sweet and cute little bird, and the staff are pretty friendly and helpful.
We were two younger people trying to get into business, it's tough at times money wise -- the room was expensive and we had a 50$ hold. It's to be expected, but still kind of sucked. The rooms were small but had decent views, everything felt a little chlostrophobic.
February 11, 2015
The room was small. We kept bumping into the bed frame that stuck out a little because it was so cramped. The location is too far from the French Quarter and other places like Harrah's and the river front. They had the Kuerig machine in the room but only had one k-cup and no sugar or creamers. We had to call twice before housekeeping brought us some.
The streetcar goes right past the hotel. The Kuerig coffee maker in the room. The price was right. If on a tight budget it is OK but for a little more money you can get better.
February 11, 2015
Bar/restaurant was uncomfortably cold. The menu was limited and quality of food disappointing. The bar staff were off-hand
Hotel staff were unfailingly helpful and very friendly, especially the front desk. Most Mardi Gras parades go right past the hotel. Easy walk to river and French Quarter
February 10, 2015
The concierge was no as welcoming. They were not accommodating to our needs. Check-in should've been quick and easy, but it too very long to set up our rooms.
The location was amazing! Conveniently located to nearly all the places to visit while in New Orleans.
February 3, 2015
The great thing about this hotel is it's in the center of everything. You got the French Quarters on one side and Bourbon Street on the other (both a few blocks). I was greeted by the morning staff which was really helpful and pleasant. The charm that the hotel brings is our room as well as the hallway had books (which I started reading) and the hotel mascot which is a lovely exotic bird.
February 2, 2015
Not having a ice machine freely available
The bed was sooo very comfortable
January 27, 2015
Valet parking is $30 per night (I know that is standard cost) but parking garage 2 blocks away was only $10 for the weekend.
The location is perfect, right on the trolley line, convenient to the Garden District and to the French Quarter.
January 27, 2015
The room was too small for the price.
Located neat street cars, walking distance to many museums and great restaurants. Friendly staff.
January 27, 2015
Rip-off price - charged over $100 more than the going rate. 1st room given was like a 3rd class hotel room, 2nd room "upgrade" just adequate.
Restaurant food OK
