Affordable price, comfortable room and friendly staffs.
Small room, tiny bathroom with hardly a shelf, no tub
Super friendly staff, clean rooms, great shower!
Hard bed and my room was next to the patio door. I heard people coming and going all night.
The convenience of having the restaurant downstairs was nice and the location is about 1 mile from the french quarter. The rooms were interesting in their "modern" style.
The room was so tiny and the carpet was coming off the floor by the wall. The staff was not very helpful at all. No vending machines or ice machines at all. Signs say there are vending machines though. It just seems like a really old hotel they tried to modernize and didn't do a very good job. The a/c didn't even work half the time and we were told we would have a coffee maker in our room and it was nowhere to be found. Overall it was fun, but definitely way overpriced for a closet sized room.
The location was great for Mardi Gras
room was really dusty, no microwave
Nice people, very accommodating. Clean, affordable, excellent location. What more could one want!
I would stay again The valet was extra. Nice.
No window. Maybe next time.
Staff was very helpful
The guys on the concierge desk were fabulous - friendly, informative and helpful. Shower was fantastic. Decor good.
Had to pay the entire bill up front, I know it was Mardi Gras but even so - probably resulted in desk staff not being particularly friendly or apologetic about the problems we had, e.g. keycard stopping working, bar not serving on a Sunday afternoon. It was very cold and all the downstairs areas were freezing, especially parts of the restaurant. I asked for an extra pillow when I was sick and was told there was not a spare one in the hotel (!) - they brought me a pillow case full of sheets - rather like a brick but nice try. Safe was depth of a wall only - so couldn't put all of our valuables away.
Need more waiters
The stay was satisfaction
The room had a wet carpet odor.
We were two younger people trying to get into business, it's tough at times money wise -- the room was expensive and we had a 50$ hold. It's to be expected, but still kind of sucked. The rooms were small but had decent views, everything felt a little chlostrophobic.
Cute rooms, nice view, go see Miss Scarlett, she's a sweet and cute little bird, and the staff are pretty friendly and helpful.
The streetcar goes right past the hotel. The Kuerig coffee maker in the room. The price was right. If on a tight budget it is OK but for a little more money you can get better.
The room was small. We kept bumping into the bed frame that stuck out a little because it was so cramped. The location is too far from the French Quarter and other places like Harrah's and the river front. They had the Kuerig machine in the room but only had one k-cup and no sugar or creamers. We had to call twice before housekeeping brought us some.
Hotel staff were unfailingly helpful and very friendly, especially the front desk. Most Mardi Gras parades go right past the hotel. Easy walk to river and French Quarter
Bar/restaurant was uncomfortably cold. The menu was limited and quality of food disappointing. The bar staff were off-hand
The location was amazing! Conveniently located to nearly all the places to visit while in New Orleans.
The concierge was no as welcoming. They were not accommodating to our needs. Check-in should've been quick and easy, but it too very long to set up our rooms.
The great thing about this hotel is it's in the center of everything. You got the French Quarters on one side and Bourbon Street on the other (both a few blocks). I was greeted by the morning staff which was really helpful and pleasant. The charm that the hotel brings is our room as well as the hallway had books (which I started reading) and the hotel mascot which is a lovely exotic bird.
The bed was sooo very comfortable
Not having a ice machine freely available
The location is perfect, right on the trolley line, convenient to the Garden District and to the French Quarter.
Valet parking is $30 per night (I know that is standard cost) but parking garage 2 blocks away was only $10 for the weekend.
Located neat street cars, walking distance to many museums and great restaurants. Friendly staff.
The room was too small for the price.
Restaurant food OK
Rip-off price - charged over $100 more than the going rate. 1st room given was like a 3rd class hotel room, 2nd room "upgrade" just adequate.
Very Nice people, hotel is super clean and cosy. Room is very good provide of things and good quality. This is for too much better than others in town at same o high price. Location is good not the best but, you can take the trolley in the corner to go everywhere and no driving, French quarter is hard to park, and if you like to walk is short distance to main avenue canal. Loved I want used this hotel ever
Humm no, I like everything
Let me begin with the check in during am and early afternoon was great . Deposit of 50 bucks on card required but not me tioned. Room small but cozy nice bathroom. We recieved complmeentry drinks for our honey moon which was great. Easy check in . Parking is 30 dollars however you can park on street right around hotel for free!
Don't try to order out because the rude obnoxious desk clerk will not make change or stay at the desk and no sign or bell people waited 49 min before acknowledged 4 people ordered out but no staff to ring rooms so all of waiting dowm stairs for hour for food. 7 am wake up call by housekeeping twice who had wrong room so they woke up whole floor also I don't need a reminder to check out . The 10 am house keeper cracked an attitude when I opened the door even though I didn't have to check out for an hour. Rude!!!! When I went to complain the manager says well I'm sorry hope you can sleep on the road. I would never stay here again had a better sTay at motel six! What a joke
Location was central to the art and museum district
Overpriced for the minimal amenities and size of room
I liked the look and feel inside. It was like I was in a different country. The room was clean.
I didn't like the extremely small room. If you weren't in the bed, then you have no other reason to be in this room. Couldn't even walk around. Didn't like not being informed about the wedding reception with the extremely loud music that went on for hours. Didn't like how they didn't inform me that there would be a $50/day incidentals charge (you get it back but dang can you warn me before I give you my card). Definitely didn't like the $20 parking per day... not completely their fault i assume, but why not have your own parking lot?!
Good location if you are "ok" with a ten minute walk to the nearby craziness. Great proximity to the Super Dome! I always prefer to try boutique hotels over large chains. This hotel was small and quaint, nice staff and a cute bar/restaurant however I didn't try it. The rooms were comfortable and had some charm but nothing really special about them. Great hot water!!!
Our room didn't get cleaned one day because they came at 8:00 a.m. while we were still in bed. Never came back after that to clean the room.
