Location, cleanliness, jet tub, room service, most of the staff, bar area, bartender, vallet, loved the bed, decor....
Our supposed check-in time was 3:00pm and we showed up early at approximately 2:15pm. We were very happy to see the bar area and planned on easily passing the 45 minute wait by ordering food and drinks! The 45 minutes turned into a hour and 45 as the room wasn't ready until after 4:00pm. The front desk blonde woman (wish I caught her name - some clues though: nice diamond wedding ring and breast cancer tennis bracelet) was extremely rude and snobby. I cannot stand that privledged/entitled attitude! She had an arrogance about her that filled the room! Not only was she short in her responses but after the extra hour passed, this person (almost called her a lady) offered us 1 drink coupon for the inconvenience instead of 2 for my girlfriend and I. Even another staff member corrected that move, gave her a puzzled looked and happily gave us a second coupon. Sadly, if it wasn't for this week spot in the visit, it could've been so much more memorable. Glad that the good outweighs the bad because honestly we will probably visit again with hopes that she's moved on to her next venture.
Excellent central location with helpful staff.
Soooo expensive for us Europeans!
good location comfortable and good quality
All around thumbs up to this place, really can't say there was anything I didn't like!
Room was spacious by San Francisco standards and the hotel is within walking distance to many fine restaurants and famous city sites. Lobby is small but quite beautiful.
The $13.00 per night charge for WiFi is ridiculous, especially when you are already paying $400 per night. Just go across the street to Starbucks and get it for free. I don't like this kind of nickeling and diming the customer. I can stay at LaQuinta Inn and get free WiFi for goodness sakes.
The protestors who woke us up at 7am by walking around outside 15 floors below our room with megaphones. Apparently this has been going on for quite some time. Management was not terribly sympathetic.
Views were amazing. Bed and furnitures excellent. Size of the suite was perfect. Service was prompt regarding in room dining.
The very low quality of the in room breakfast which is billed 50 usd for bad quality croissants and low quality butter. Fruits looked like they had been sliced 2 days ago. Very disappointing and not worth the price. Also our check-out took 30 mins as the hotel made mistakes with our bill (adding premium free gifts on the bill !) and we waited more than 20 mins to get our luggage that we ended up picking ourselves.
Staff at the front was friendly, very attentive concierge, and helpful housekeepers. Room was very spacious with a great view. Overall, enjoyed my stay.
Elevators seemed like they were on their last leg. Couch was a little scuffed up. At breakfast, waited 5-10 min with no one taking my order, so decided to opt for the buffet instead. Don't opt for the buffet, the choices are limited and the price is higher than menu items. You're better off choosing to eat elsewhere.
Hotel's classy style and location.
Expensive hotel and parking.
Noisy mattres is too old.
Room was fantastic.
The disco is tooo laud and can be heard to the early hours of the morning all the way to the 16th floor!!!
Very nice room, professional and friendly staff, excellent location, complimentary coffee in the morning
The loud picketing that greeted us on arrival. The staff all seemed calm and indicated they did not want to join the union. There were police in the lobby to keep the protesting peaceful. The picketing did not last long, but apparently they come at different times of the day and are hired to picket.
Service was not up to expectations
Everything, gym, dinner, room facilities, space, room, cleanliness, position
No tea coffee making facilities in room for cup of tea after dinner
Fantastic views of the bay, coit tower, and bay bridge...excellent location for: a stroll on the waterfront-easy walk to giants att park, a five minute walk to the very building and chinatown, northbeach, and union square are close by.
The room was clean but the toilet could have used a bit more scrubbing.
Great location and very comfortable hotel. Quiet room, lovely view.
Furnishings are looking a little worn.
Great location and walking distance to every where in SF. Hotel interior design is great and unlike many other hotels is not run down. Recently refurbished I believe.
Really comfortable beds and good sized rooms
No smiles from anyone. From check in to check out noone smiled. We also were greeted with Union picketing....my niece was spit on for walking in the hotel. I wasted a lot of money for our stay and we were only there to sleep. Felt like no one cared if we were their guests or not. Felt like we were among Zombies.
The toilet was hard to flush and the water in the shower continually went from hot to cold back to hot and back to cold.
It was just a room. No service no personality. Just blah. There was nothing special. The staff was blah. The room was blah. Found the front desk check in women to be rude. I like a hotel to make me feel welcomed and this hotel made me feel unwelcomed. There was nothing special for spending $400.00 a night. Very disappointed.
The staff was really friendly, we were just too lazy to ask for an extra bathrobe. The tub was bit too small for my boyfriend, but it was fine for me. It's small, because I'm 4'11". However, it was nice that the bathtub had a shower head in addition to the separate shower.
The staff left some bits of raw food from the last guest on the ground. The walls are thin, you can hear all activities from inside and outside the hotel. The only thing that really bothered me was that the room was advertised as having a "bay view," and it did, when the building was first built. There were tall buildings right in the middle of our view of the bay, it was even a good day in SF without fog.
Size of the room
It was pretty noisy Gym could be better for such a hotel
