Score from 423 reviews Good
This oceanfront resort, on the beaches of Sunny Isles, is a 10 minute drive to Aventura Mall. It offers private beach access, a luxury spa, gourmet restaurant and rooms with views.
Score from 230 reviews Very good
Lower entrance from garage and beach has no staff member there and anyone could walk in and access all floors above. I would suggest a key card access for rooms etc and also outside door to allow only staff and guests to get into it. Thanks-
Great view from our room. Nice balcony, comfy bed. Helpful and friendly staff.
Kitchen could be better equipped, no warming pans or dishes, the tub/shower small and basic, the restaurant is very basic. Limited menu
the valet service
the room size too small but toilet is ok poor wifi in the room the safe box was closed and the maintenance wasn't able to open it
- near beach - size of gym
- relatively expensive (resort fee, parking fee etc.) - small pool - very dirty (!) gym
View from room Restaurant staff
Hidden costs, high parking charges, resort charges.
Rooms are clean, cosy, with great views, fully equipped. Staff is nice and accommodating. Beach is nice.
Wifi is kinda slow
They didn't have my reservation. I asked for accessible room which I didn't get nor the view I asked. It took them 45 min. to give me a room. Very bad with my 84 year mom.
Room, Lounge, Beach
Almost all the rooms are suites with a living area and kitchenette.
The decor was worn and needed an uplift. The location is great if you have an ocean front room, otherwise it's not so special.
Diana was very helpful. Bed was comfortable and beach and. Valet staff were excellent.
As a repeat customer I expected better treatment. Room was tiny. I wanted to upgrade to a better room and prices were on par with a 5 star like the viceroy or ritz. This is not close to that. Breakfast boufet was aweful. Business services were antique. Lightbulb out in room. Housekeeping banging on door at 8AM!! No molestar sign missing.
Room was cute and tidy..
For the price you expect a bit more quality...when you book they don't tell you about all the extra charges..you can stay at a much nicer resort for what you'll "END UP" paying here...internet was horrible and they actually charge you for it....
Front desk staff was very helpful and kind.
$27.00 for valet parking. Repairs to drywall outside elevator on many floors. Bar staff doesn't speak english.
Only the people from the Valet Parking.
Management absolutely horrible! (Maria!!!)
All the rest!
There is an additional $20 per night as a "Restort Fee" which must be payed.. is not an option! And is not clear while you are booking your room. The swimming pool is small compared to the amount of people staying at the hotel. At 2pm at the pool (neither the beach), there is no more sun!! (Because of the shadow of the Matenas Building)
Clean, looked clean and no weird smells. On the beach with great views. Bed comfortable and room well kept. In hotel restaurant.
Problem with key cards both days. Beers 12oz $7.50, food high priced. Valet parking only.
Excellent room with kitchenette for the children, very clean and good service. They even came to make the sofa bed at night.
Beach too crowded, pool too small. The sun is blocked by the building so the pool area gets cold and windy too early in the day.
having to pay valet parking and resort fee on top of the high nightly rate.
I received a complimentary upgrade to a suite upon arrival! What a pleasant surprise, a lovely room with a beautiful balcony with partial ocean an inter coastal views, living area and fully equipped kitchen. Bed was very comfortable and no noise, very quite. The food is excellent, easy beach access and the staff is very friendly and attentive. A convenience store and many other shops right across the street or just a few blocks away makes the location very desirable. A very relaxing atmosphere makes it the perfect gateway. I will definitely recommend.
You may want to consider renting a car as most restaurants/attractions are a bit far, located in Miami Beach or South Beach. The hotel however can help with that.
location confortable staff
The gym area execelent
the pool area to small
Location ,very kind staff
location closeness to beach valet was efficient
AC didn't work well rooms needed to be cleaned more toilet didn't work hotel outside needs a refresher
The room is spacious, very nicely furnished, spectacular view and comfortable (we had booked a suite). The staff was extremely nice and accommodating.
The swimming pool is small and crowded but the beach is very nice, especially if you get there early in the morning, choose an external chaise and leave when the crowd arrives.
The swimming pool is too small for such a big hotel
Excellent staff and front desk who went the extra mile to ensure we were comfortable. Room was excellent with high quality furnishings and supplies etc. and this seemed to pervade throughout the property. Also, this was very evidently a more family oriented hotel - whether by design or not I don't know.
There was a huge spilled ink stain on the living room carpet (around 12in wide). Probably impossible to remove but it was a detractor, unfortunately, and of course unique to our room evidently. Parking was $27 a night. Two doors down it was $12 per night at another hotel.
