Oppulent environment with a historic feel, decent location, friendly staff,pbj and pool. Running toilet had to be fixed more than once and it never stayed fixed. It kept us up most of last night we really needed a nap but late check out too pricey. Also were offered comp newspaper delivery but never received it.

the staff were very friendly and welcoming. They were efficient and very helpful with any queries. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The rooftop pool was great. The position close to canal street was convenient but out of the noise. some of the facilities were in need of refurb eg enamel peeling off the bath, a safe with a key and the meals were over-priced for what you got.

Hotel is extremely noisy: vacuum cleaner started at 7 am in the corridor, it was impossible to sleep. Staff was noisy as if always shouting. Asked to change room and the lady named Paula was really rude. In the end, just switched to another hotel, certainly the best decision of my trip.

I loved the opulence and the splendor of the hotel. Lovely sheets. Nightly snack of PBJs and milk or hot chocolate. Hated the old bathroom, old tub, dirty tile. Old wallpaper in bathroom. Mattress was old and needed to be replaced. Lost earring under the bed, it was gross sticking my hand under to look for it.

Style, old style New Orleans, the real deal, luxurious, sense of occasion, not fussy, attention to detail, genuinely friendly and helpful, food, lunch buffet!,rooftop pool, comfort. Went back again for a few nights after visiting Acadiana. Seemed like probably the best place in New Orleans. Nothing really, expensive during Jazzfest but they all are.

Rooms were comfortable. Location was great. Decor was beautiful. Unfortunately, we were next to the 430 suite which was occupied by a family party with an attendant three old who loved slamming the door and had already been reported to management at a hotel in Houston... or so we could hear her mother laughingly relate to their guests. See previous... also, we were "kicked out" of the pool for someone's wedding photos-- I hope they were at least staying there.

A beautiful place with excellent employees. The breakfast buffet was great but no-one can eat 20 dollars worth of breakfast. Also, the 35 dollar a day parking was out of sight.

This is a beautiful and character-full hotel, well situated for exploring New Orleans' many attractions. The room was spacious and very comfortable. There were relatively limited dining facilities - one upmarket dining room and a small bar/lounge. But there is a huge choice in nearby streets. And I was surprised that the cost of the buffet breakfast did not include coffee or orange juice.

Loved the personal attention from staff, the late night snacks, and mostly the furnishings and ambience. A little noisy, all hallway traffic was transmitted directly to the room (but this was expected, old hotel).
