Right on the river in New Orleans, this contemporary hotel offers state-of-the-art facilities and fine dining, just steps from the Riverwalk Marketplace, which features over 140 shops and restaurants....
Score from 440 reviews Very good
This 4-star hotel in New Orleans is a 15-minute walk from Jackson Square. The elegant hotel features The Rooftop Bar, a full-service spa and rooms with a 42-inch flat-screen TV.
Score from 131 reviews Wonderful
- perfect bed - nicely furnished lobby & rooms - location not really in the french quarter, but quieter
- Noisy: you can hear everything that is said or that happens in the adjacent rooms - you cannot open the windows (smells in the room) - the concierge is not as funny as he thinks he is... - the doormen are busy with the cars but just wouldn't care about all other guests - WiFi password has to be re-entered each time you use your device
The room, bed, and quietness
Paying for parking, also having to pay for help with luggage
It is a very charming property. I am not a peanut butter and jelly sandwich eater, but you should not miss this tradition at 10:00pm nightly in the lobby. It was great!!!
Thanksgiving dinner was mediocre. A very weak selection. Nothing special.
The location is great, to be away from the fray but good enough for walking.
The pillows were polyester and really big.
The location was great. We loved the 12:00 ch ed c out.
The bed was not the most comfortable.
Excellent location was safe and quiet at night, and within walking distance of French Quarter, Cochon Butcher, Convention center, Aquarium, casino, river, and outlet mall. Late-night snack of peanut-butter sandwiches and hot chocolate with whipped cream. Rooms were very quiet, with no audible noise from plumbing or from neighbors. Beautiful historic lobby. Convenient and inviting staircase to all floors.
Valence above shower curtain had not been cleaned in a long time and was loaded with dust. Washable wallpaper in bathroom needed to be washed. Refrigerator wasn't cold. Bellhops wearing earmuffs continually left the front doors open, chilling the entire lobby.
TV cable cuts out
Elegant lobby, elegant room, extremely helpful staff, good location - close to tourist attractions but not right in the French Quarter which would have been too noisy. Hot tub on roof was perfect to soak tired body from walking all day visiting tourist attractions.
Had to call twice for a coffee maker delivered to room. Otherwise everything was wonderful.
Staff was friendly and extremely accommodating and helpful the room itself was not very clean I have stayed in this hotel before and it seems that it is losing its luster The location is good as it is walkable to the Quarter but still very quiet
Not as clean as previous stay
It was our anniversary and we received a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. The staff from the front door to the inside if the hotel did an excellent job!
We celebrated my husband's birthday by visiting New Orleans for a few days, I must say Le Pavillon was definitely the best decision. We were totally impressed with the welcoming, friendly service, beautiful decor and cleanliness of the hotel. Every encounter we had with the staff from the bell, front desk, concierge, room service and cleaning service "EVERYONE" was attentive, smiling and kind. I pre-order a bottle of Champagne with a card and personal msg. for my husband upon arrival, he definitely was surprised and so was I with how professionally perfect it was (above my expectations). Perfect location to everything! PBJ late night snacks! btw their potato salad on the deli plate in room service is amazing! Our stay with Le Pavilllon was every cent worth it and some! A purchase and experience that makes you feel good paying for! Everything you need is literally on hand at the hotel! Our stay here is majority of the reason this birthday get-a-way was amazing and unforgettable. We stayed on the 6th floor, our room was perfect, we visited the pool a few times and the view is JUST perfect! Hands down this hotel is a must see and experience selection. I read about the "Ghost" stories and didnt experience anything of the sort nor feel uncomfortable at any moment. I cannot wait until we return with friends to share our experience with such awesome-charming customer service, beautiful architect and impressive decor. The online pictures and virtual tour definitely give it no justice to the reality of its beauty.
I missed the PBJ snacks our last night!
Excellent service, late night snacks, turn down service, helpful staff
Bath tub was not draining well. But, considering that it was established in 1907, I think it is somewhat acceptable
This is a great hotel for all ages. Be it traveling alone or with kids, this Hotel will be an amazing experience. It is a mixture of classic southern and french styles. It feels as if you are stepping back in time when you stay here. Very elegant and a very professional and attentive staff!
The rooms are comfortable but adequate for the price. The building is very old and the Hotel is historic so be prepared for a little stuffy-ness. The staff was very attentive but a little too attentive at times. I had to refuse room service 3 times to 3 different maids in the span of 20 mins. on a Saturday morning. My room did not have a do not disturb sign to hang on the door. Other than that the stay was very satisfactory.
Staff and rooms were top notch.
They were extremely accomodating. The roof top pool was beautiful. For the money in NOLA stay here!! They also are mailing me some boots I lost. 5 star service all the way
Antoine, the bellman was terrific, as was Michelle behind the desk. Very warm and friendly. Concierge was great at helping us with directions. I was traveling with my sister-in-law, so we booked a room with two queen beds. It was very large and the beds were above average, and the room quiet. This is an 107 year old hotel, so there are definitely signs of "age", but in general it is very well maintained. We highly recommend it if you want to be a short distance from the French Quarter.
Bathroom was showing signs of age. The tub was losing it's porcelain finish and the bath mat was dingy. Some of the towels and bath robes, while clean, were greying. There was no coffee pot in the room, but complimentary coffee is available in the lobby every morning.
We liked the location We liked the historical beauty of the hotel We loved the bed and pillows We loved the fireplace We loved the breakfast
1) Sheet had a stain on it in the first room, however, housekeeping came up and changed it. Shower door had soap scum build up on it. 2) Air unit was very cold, could not turn the unit down, engineering came up and attempted to fix the unit while we were in the room. Immediately after there was a leak that got the floor and desk area wet. No room change was offered. We had to go down stairs and request it. 3) New room had dust build up on drapes that was very noticeable 4) Staff sent new guests to the room that we had already checked into. 5) Management did not handle the above situations in the manner that we expected.
The staff are courteous..
Free breakfast supposed to be added and the corridors to be perfume
Proximity to French Quarter, lobby decor, helpfulness of staff
High cost for less than excellent stay, plumbing problems in the room
From the moment we pulled up to the moment we left we were taken care on a level I have never experienced before. When I mentioned that my wife and I would be celebrating our honeymoon on a survey they send you after booking, we were given the honeymoon suite! I can not stress to you enough how much you need to stay here while in new orleans. It's an easy two to three block to the French quarter, Harrah's casino, and the Riverwalk.
Location, staff, decor.
Bathrooms a little out dated.
The atmosphere and character of the hotel were beyond compare. The staff were very helpful. It really is a stylish old hotel, and we would recommend it to anyone visiting New Orleans.
The food in the restaurant didn't live up to the surroundings. We found it bulky, and over-filling. Lighter, more tasteful dishes would have been welcome.
The staff was very nice and helpful. The location was close to the French Quarter.
Our room was not any better than a cheaper hotel. It was old and needed to be updated. The bathtub had pieces broken. The shower head did not work correctly and there was a small ramp that did not meet up with the tile of the bathroom so you tripped every time you went into the bathroom. Also we had to pay to park at the hotel.
