Convenient location to tourist areas, nice helpful staff, great happy hour and reasonable prices during spring break.
Bathtub drain barely drained and when we all showered close to the same time, we had to stand in the dirty water from other family members. Hotel explained the pipes/drains are old and hard to repair but still, a negative. Bathroom is small and we didn't like the first floor. You could hear people walking by your windows. Also, thin walls between rooms.
Front desk staff, parking, location and happy hour
Internet quite slow
Location and staff were excellent.
The room was very stuffy and even though we were at a historic hotel, the room looked like a dumpy hotel.
Staff was friendly. John, the night security person, gave us some great food recommendations that proved to be accurate.
The wifi was supposed to work in all rooms. Upper floors were very spotty, could not use it.
Location was far from the noise but a really close walk to the action on French St. I didn't avail of the parking but I think it's a plus in case you wanted to bring a car. Older building so it had character.
staff at desk
Great location, old elegant charm, clean.
Pool wasn't heated.
Great location2 blocks from the Mississippi,One block from the French market,in& out parking for the same price, reasonable rates for the location.
location and originality of building
no free drinks?
The hotel was very clean, bed was very comfy and the towels were aplenty and super soft. The location suited our needs perfectly.
My only two negative comments would be the cost as I have stayed in far more modern hotels with breakfast included for a fraction of the price, however going during Mardi Gras was also going to make the price astronomical. The bedrooms and hallway could do with renovation, as they are quite dated.
That an older well kept place to stay. Loved the wooden doors and the real keys. Had to do a lot of walking from there, but that was ok.
Everything, food, drinks, other guest and the hotel employees
Nothing, we had a great time and the hotel is very old but in good shape and the location is very helpful.
Large room for a city hotel. Great balcony. Close to music on Frenchman Street. Breakfast in pretty room overlooking the courtyard with nice pool and friendly service. Secure parking.
Bathroom needed a deep clean and fresh caulk (traces of mildew). Old bedspreads and stained curtains.
Fantastic location for a great price. Charming hotel in the heart of the quarter.
No coffee in the lobby except on the weekend.
After the initial, it envelopes you, beds are so comfortable. It is in the perfect position, can get to each sight seeing, one quarter mergers into the other .The hotel and the above named are solid. Take walking shoes for magazine st
Walking in? Damn it! I knew I forgot to pack something, the tin of paint!
Great quiet location in French Quarter. Walking distance to everything. We enjoyed staying there.
Bathroom really needs to be renovated.
The location was awesome! Close to everything
The carpets were old and dirty looking to me. I was about 70% comfortable sleeping in our room. Also, no coffee served at 6am and had to walk down the street to buy some. Guy was rude about to too.
Friendly helpful staff, well kept hotel and comfortable room
LacK of ramps etc outside and inside for disabled access/ suitcases No restaurant after 2pm No tea/coffee making facilities in rooms
We never had to take the car in Nollis . Comfortable and clean.
Loved Pam on the front desk. When I asked to be moved because I couldn't sleep - room was above the kitchen and when they opened at 0500, so did I! - she moved me to a room with a balcony and nice n quiet. Yaah, Pam.
Rooms pretty grimy, eg carpet, wouldn't want to go looking for bugs...but bed clean as a whistle and same as linen. Bath/shower in both rooms were old and water didn't run away during shower. Walls thin.
The staff and location were tops! Our room was large for a smaller hotel and the room was comfortable.
A little on the old side, But still very nice!
Very close to the French market and Frenchman st. Very secure parking lot as well.
We weren't there long enough.
Felt very comfortable staying at the Le Richelieu. It was a relatively small and cozy place to stay - almost like staying in your home - and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Being in the French Quarter put us right in the might of the action and the sights we wanted to visit.
