everything !!! location is awesome.....staff, awesome......
we were overlooking the pool and it was a bit loud.........didn't spend much time in the room so it was not such a big deal.
Great place...location was awesome. A very old hotel, but kept in good condition throughout! Staff was exceptional!
Parking your car was excellent price for New Orleans with easy access in and out.
Roaches. Price was way too high for quality of hotel. Don't recommend.
While it's close to the edge of the French Quarter, I still loved the location. It wasn't a long walk at all to all the places we wanted to go like Jackson Square and Bourbon Street and good shopping places, but it was still just enough away from everything so that you weren't kept up at night by all the people out and about. I would definitely stay here again!
I forgot my toothbrush and the hotel staff said they didn't keep basic toiletries for their customers. I found a Walgreens though so it wasn't that big of a deal.
Old world Charm in the French Quarter. The Staff was professional and courteous.
No coffee in the room.
Retention of the original decor. The setup of the front desk, the use of real keys, the historically sensual "odors of time", the period furnishings. Notable is the interest all members of the staff, housekeepers, bartenders and waiters showed in us and our comfort.
The complementary coffee and tea service is in a very congested corner of the Terrace Cafe where many people were trying to access the service simultaneously. I felt that I was "in the way."
Great staff except for restaurant. It was a very quaint hotel with a great location. We would stay again in the future.
We had a heavy-set older waiter in the restaurant who was terrible. No personality, threw the menus on out table after sitting there for ten minutes. It took another ten and us leaving to get service. He screwed up our order and acted like he was doing us a favor by getting us the right food. There was a younger gentleman also serving who did a great job with his customers.
location staff was nice and helpful
bathroom - shower took forever to drain and the toilet was constantly running. Even when we had it worked on by maintenance.
I love that they have a 1 p.m. checkout which is so convenient! Also, loved the breakfast, amazing biscuits!
Interior art deco style Stylish breakfast Great place, calm, close to French Quarter Great BMC club with life music Nice staff
Loved the size of the rooms.
Decor was a little dated. Walls needed repair.
central to all that is "The French Quarter", you are within minutes of what is New Orleans, the hotel is charming with a proud past, the staff are more than pleasant and helpful to the guests.
Fantastic place; friendly staff and very good value for money
Service Accommodation Met several locals who frequented the hotel Met the owner I'll come back there anytime!
Location! In the French Quarter close to the fle market, Frenchman's, Bourboun, Royal. Everything in walking distance. We notice many walking tours in street, so Chartres has to be a very historical street. Hotel has the character of the New Orleans charm and culture. If you're looking for modern I would stay some where else. Enjoyed our stay very much.
Amazing room and brilliant location. Central, but not affected by noise of bustling streets at night
The staff is always very friendly and helpful.
The location was great, and quiet, a few blocks from Bourbon St. Staff was helpful and friendly. Complimentary coffee by the pool in the mornings while planning the day. Had breakfast our last day and it was good. The décor was old elegance, which I like.
Location, proximity to French Market and Frenchman Street. Comfy bed and clean room.
Musty smell in hallways. A but run down appearance overall.
Every staff member we encountered was very friendly and seemed to care that we have a good trip and will return in the future. Good location, close enough to the heart of the Quarter but far enough away to be quiet.
This seems minor, but there wasn't any hair conditioner among the toiletries. Just shampoo.
The staff was helpful, the facilities very cozy, fantastic location! loved the quaintness. great experience!
Friendly staff, great location clean hotel poolside cafe everything was perfect walking distance to everything
there wasn't anything we didn't like
The location and easy access .
Good location, close enough to the action on Bourbon Street, but far enough away to be quiet. Friendly and helpful staff. Old and quaint, but comfortable and has the atmosphere that makes you feel like you are in the old French Quarter.
Thought it was a bit expensive, but I guess you are paying for the location.
