Really good location, friendly local bar, comfortable bed
Bathroom shower pressure was minimal.
The staff was pleasant and accommodating.
The last day I didn't have hot water.
Location,Staff, Bar, room 317 is very quiet.
balcony over parking lot, no coffee maker in room.
The hotel was absolutely wonderful. We usually stay closer to Canal but not anymore. Great location and the staff couldn't have been any nicer! Enjoyed sitting poolside and on the front porch. New favorite hotel.....
I love the character of the Hotel. I loved that it is not a chain Hotel. The staff and everyone were very helpful with directions and points-of-Interest.
There wasn't anything I disliked
Staff were very friendly
Rooms could have been cleaner
Didn't have hot water for the shower.
All the the staff very nice and helpful, especially the maids. Great location and neat little place to stay.
Had a bad smell coming from the bath room sink and shower drains.
Likes: 1. Big bed 2. Balcony 3. Cool, seventies-era bathroom 4. Feels like the Shining except not as scary 5. Friendly staff 6. Lovely painting in the foyer of a man and his black cat being rowed on a river 7. Halloween decorations everywhere!!
Breakfast was ok--since the hotel is close to so many restaurants, just walk down the block for more variety. Envy is a good coffee shop they had breakfast and Cafe du Monde is less than 10 min by foot.
Located in the French Quarter. We had an apartment like room with kitchen, living area, bed room and bath.
If anything at all, the Internet could be faster
Our room had a balcony for us to enjoy. The hotel was clause to the trolley, a big plus for us older folks. Also close to the French Market and only a few blocks from Burboun Street.
my gf liked how it felt a bit creepy lol I liked the balcony. Location was fabulous and price was very fair.
Didn't like how our electronics was acting up. That's about it.
Le Richelieu was conveniently located in the French Quarter. Close to the French Market and Bourbon Street. The staff was courteous, and attentive. I would say here again.
Location was great, room was a good size and comfortable, good restaurants and cafes nearby. Very quiet, but still close to the action. Lovely staff that were so helpful. Right near Frenchmans Street and the best music in New Orleans.
Breakfast was very good. Quiet neighborhood and helpful staff. I would stay there again.
location staff friendly
toilet kept running (water) the valve was not working well AC no room control for central AC. to adjust temp
Great location, quiet, close to Frenchman. Maringy, and riverfront streetcar.
Le Richelieu is in walking distance of many sites in New Orleans. You get the feel of the French Quarter without being in the middle of the noise. The breakfast quality was good and the cost was comparable to other options. The front desk staff were very friendly.
Of course it's old, but the bathroom and kitchen facilities are also dated. They were fine, reasonable for the price, but at least 50 years old.
Great Location and price. Our favorite place to stay in the French Quarters!
Excellent position in the quiet part of the French Quarter. Brilliant long-serving bartender. Parking on site a real bonus.
Poor wifi reception, but I can't be sure that wasn't at least partly my device.
Position, staff ,architecture
Bathroom could have been bigger "
It was very clean and the staff were very friendly. It was in the French Quarter, but in the quieter section.
I wish they had food/room service available later in the day.
The location was fantastic! The staff were very friendly. The room itself was clean and simple. Overall it was well worth it. My friends and I had a great trip. I would stay here again for sure.
Advertised free parking when I booked the hotel, but then had to pay $20/day.
As first timers in NOLA the location could not have been better for our honeymoon. We could walk almost everywhere and those a bit far were accessible by trolley car easily. (And it was still quiet enough since a couple of blocks from bourbon street.) Also loved the privacy of the building and park in lot. We felt safe and relaxed. Plus the pool was a super afternoon treat almost every day! If tou can try to get on second floor to the most awesome balcony rooms! Not sure which all had access, but looked like about 10 rooms could go right out to balcony.
Overall the staff was nice but we felt they could have been a bit more helpful, especially upon check in. Confusing about parking (leave car on the street when checking in and they will give you a key to lot behind the building), and felt unnecessary to have to pay $20 per night to park after paying for a room. Should have been included in our opinion.
Great location especially if you're going to see the music on Frenchmen Street. And an easy walk to everything in the French Quarter. Quiet at night. Great value for the money. My hotel of choice in New Orleans.
