Le Richelieu has been in business since 1969, and is locally owned and operated. Since it's the owner's home, he's always lavished much attention on it, making sure the housekeeping and maintenance standards are far above average. In fact, "excellent" would better describe our standards.

Le Richelieu is made up of two historic buildings and has 86 deluxe, air-conditioned guest rooms, including 17 suites. All are individually and traditionally decorated with fine furnishings, artwork and brass ceiling fans. Amenities include hairdryers, irons and boards, refrigerators, voice mail and data ports, and remote control color TV with a selection of satellite channels.

Travel information

Le Richelieu offers FREE self parking. Our front entrance is at 1234 Chartres Street, between Gov. Nicholls and Barracks Streets, with the entrance to the parking lot on Barracks Street.

Airport shuttle service tickets may be purchased in the baggage area at Louis Armstrong International Airport. Return tickets are available at our Front Desk or taxi service is readily available. Public transportation tickets and information are available at our Front Desk.

Directions.

FROM THE WEST: Take I-10 East, to ESPLANADE AVE. - EXIT 236A . Right on Esplanade Avenue to DECATUR ST. Right on Decatur St. one block to BARRACKS ST. Right on Barracks to LE RICHELIEU parking lot in middle of block, on left side of street.

FROM THE EAST: Take I-10 West to ELYSIAN FIELDS AVE. - EXIT 237. Turn left on to Elysian Fields, and drive toward the river. At the French Market, turn right on BARRACKS ST. for 1 1/2 blocks to LE RICHELIEU.
