We arrived quite late and were greeted by very friendly people. They were very helpful and gave us all the insight and directions we needed. The hotel is 20 mn from the mall (10 walking, 10 metro) Very pleasant neighborhood with restaurants quite close. If you would like to visit Washington, it is a very good place. Thanks again !
This small hotel has amazing interior. There're very clean and comfortable. Owners are very hospitable. Place is quite and beautiful. It's around 10 min to metro. But if you like walking you can reach Union Station at 30 min.
Everything was good. May be only wifi was so slow.
The great kindness of the owners and their effort to make my stay really enjoyable
1.Location-safe area (patrolled by police), close to the metro, supermarkets and restaurants 2. Owners-they live in a same place, few levels down. They really care! I got a excellent advices on how to move around, which areas to avoid (very important in the USA), where to eat and shop. 3. Place is kept sterile clean. 4. Wifi is fast. I would say that if its your first trip to the USA and you want to feel secure, it's a good option.
1. A bit difficult to find, as hotel name is not visibly indicated on a building. You should search according to the house number.
The owner brought us to the airport because we have a very early flight without charges.
Breakfast is very limited and very early for late sleepers. The couples who owns the B&B are still working at the same time managing this B&B.Breakfast ist at 7 am and not before 8 am because both are working.
The staff/owners could not have been more warm and helpful with check-in and with advice/directions. The pleasure of staying in a B&B can be enhanced, or destroyed by its quirkiness, and LeDroit's is definitely enhancing. Clean bedrooms and bathrooms. Simple, nutritious breakfast presented with plenty of charm and coziness. We'll be back!
Sharing a bathroom, but who does. We've done it before and knew what to expect, so no harm done.
I love the area. It is trendy with great restaurants and friendly people all around. Located only one metro stop away from the convention centre, it sure beats staying downtown - especially at such affordable rates.
I would love the addition of a Keurig coffee machine for guest use and perhaps the offer of some light snacks as breakfast is no longer offered.
Location and character of house and neighbourhood. Lovely people as hosts who were very helpful.
Andrea's breakfasts Friendliness of family hosting us Close to a number of bars Close to Metro Station Walkable distance to Union Station Air conditioning Television in room - good channel choice Shared bathroom kept very clean
No tea/coffee facilities in room
Quietness of charming borough. Welcoming of the tenants. Notre that from historical center and restaurants.
Made very welcome. The establishment has a very nice historical feel and look. Very interesting and a change from the sometime sterile environment of modern hotels.
good decoration and cozy; it is good for a family travel; very clean and quiet; shared bathroom is not a problem
Comfortable room, good air con. Delightful hosts. Good area with a variety of restaurants. Breakfasts were interesting, delicious fruit, perhaps the option of cereal would be an idea.
I felt so warmly welcomed! It was a friendly experience from beginning to end. Andrea helped me with a last-minute change in my registration, gave me advice about where to get dinner, and could not have been more accommodating. The location is right on the cleanest, nicest bus line I have ever taken. Full of professionals commuting to work, the bus brought me directly to my meetings, and stopped within 1 block of the B&B. Only thing to be aware of is that you have to have a Metro card or exact change to take the bus. I also liked how multicultural the neighborhood was. I am often traveling with co-workers of different races and ethnicities, and we look for places where we will ALL feel welcome and safe. So glad to say that this neighborhood is one of them.
I felt comfortable and welcomed the whole time, but visitors who care about privacy should know that some bedrooms have a shared bathroom. I may have missed this info during my booking process. It took me several tries to get the wifi working, but after that it was very speedy.
We really had a great stay at the B&B. The hostesses are friendly and give a lot of info. We will most certain stay here again when visiting Washington DC.
The historic neighbourhood and this B&B were a nice change from everywhere else we had been on our trip. Breakfast was always laid out and ready and being a small place there was no waiting. Andrea & Dick are great hosts and willing to help out as much as they can, making our vacation in DC a lot more enjoyable.
The family were so friendly, welcoming and generous and we felt really comfortable staying in their house during the 5 days. The breakfast was always very delicious and it's great value considering the breakfast is included.
The location was perfect, close to public transportation in a very good neighborhood. The place made us feel like at home. I definitively would come back in my next visit to DC
I loved the location. It was in a very charming neighbourhood. Andrea and Dick were lovely hosts. I arrived later than expected, but they were there to greet me and answered all my questions. Andrea was very helpful in making sure I knew my way around. If i return to the DC area again I would certainly stay there.
We enjoyed our staying at Ledroit. The room was very good with TV, air-conditioner,WI-Fi, very clean, decorated in old style which is very nice. Even the bathroom and WC was shared with other room, it wasn't a problem at all. The owners are fantastic will help you with everything. Also, there were wonderful cat, bird and dog in the house for those who like animals. But don't worry, they will not disturb you, as they live in the 1st floor. The house is located on the calm street, so you'll have good sleep.
The location isn't so close to the main attractions, but there is a bus stop (2 minutes) and metro (10-15 min).It will take you cca 20 min to get to the center. We had booking without breakfast included.
Hospitality of the hosts was excellent as they went out of their way to assist us. It was located in a lovely historic home area.
The bedroom was rather small and cramped.
This is really a nice place. The room is clean and comfortable. People there were nice and friendly. I feel so lucky to know the history and story of the house and this area.
I like the home and the hosts. Andrea and dick were super friendly and polite. Andrea helped me planning my transportation too.
Hosts are incredibly friendly and very helpful. Great tips on where to go and what to do, they even took me to buy tickets at the Howard theater! Great location, with easy access to buses and metro station. Was really happy to stay in a house instead of a hotel, lovely house. Really enjoyed it and would stay again.
Andrea and Dick are the most friendly people in the world! I felt like I stayed with friends. Peace and Rosie are the sweetest pets on the planet. Excellent breakfast; everything is very clean and comfortable. I hope I can come back soon.
It's a long walk until the Shaw-Howard subway station, but at the last day I found out I could take the G8 bus to the station and it got better. Also, there are no markets nearby, so a little planning is required.
