Excellent location close to 42nd street; good breakfast with a big variety of choices; nice touch with the breakfast room being available all day for reading, having a free coffee, fruits or wine and cheese in the evening breakfast room a bit congested in the morning; some noise from the street; |

Look and feel of the hotel was very unique and interesting. Large clean room. Level 2 catering area was unobtusive but also small and pokey. Difficult to get a seat in the dining area at peak times. |

Wonderful hotel. The internet was flaky, and good internet is a must for business travel. |

Great service from very attentive staff. Rooms a little small by USA standards but this is a boutique NYC hotel, so to be expected. No coffee or tea making facilities in the room |

The atmosphère was really nice (people and place), it is a little iland of peace in the busy city. It was a bit noisy (despite the fact we could perfectly sleep), but guess this is ny. |

The friendly and helpful staff, and the breakfast room-cum-sitting room. The noisy air-conditioning. I'm not sure if there is a solution? |

Friendliness of the staff, especially at reception and breakfast was fantastic. They gave good advice and helped wih all inquieries. Rooms are very noisy. Sleeping without ear plugs is impossible. New window frames and modern glass would help a lot. |

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The always open "Reading Room" was a good touch. The rooftop bar was charming. The floor and room topics were fun-my wife even found books suitable for her research in African Religious Philosophy. The interior design/furnishing was excellent and the room was comfortable. I always wish NYC hotel rooms were larger. |

From we arrived the staff were excellent and the facilities were amazing. The library is a gem. It is a small but perfectly appointed hotel within walking distance of time square. |

The whole concept of the library way of living, books everywhere, classified floors designed upon Dewey, the stairs that are painted with faux-fini (at least between the 3rd and 2nd floors), the breakfast in a very French way (croisssants, muffins, bagels with cheese, fruits - so good - cereals, coffee, tea and natural juices) and the design of the room very well made. It's not so that I didn't like, it's more like that was a bit missing : eggs and toasts with the breakfast, a wider menu from the restaurant next to the hotel (not enough choice). |

The relaxed friendliness of the staff and the overall quality of the hotel service and accommodation. It is one of the best hotels I have ever used. The continental breakfast in the "library" was comprehensive. Having a selection of daily papers and periodicals available made for a most relaxing start to the day. The "library" was available for cmplimentary tea, coffee and pastries throughout the day and evening which we appreciated very much. No. We did not find it wanting in any way. We will return without question. |

The hotel had a friendly relaxed atmosphere where we could totally unwind from the stresses of everyday life. Only negative was that the first room we were allocated was too small for visitors who were staying more than 1 night, we were staying 1 week. We did mention this to reception who immediately offered us a larger room which was perfect. |

We stayed at this hotel in June for 4 nights and have only good things to say about it. It's location is spot on and the staff were delightful, nothing was too much trouble. It really made our trip to New York City special and I will definately stay here again. It has everything you need and more with a roof top bar, fantastic restuarant, 24 hour coffee service and early evening wine and cheese selection, just what you need after a day in the city. I can not recommend this hotel enough. |

The staff was friendly, the hotel was very clean & comfortable. The amenities were as you described. The Lounge area on the 2nd floor offering "goodies" throughout the day was a joy. The elevator was situated within a few feet of the public entrance with the lobby off to the side. I would have preferred a more secured entry. In addition, the roof top bar personnel were not very courteous -- but we later discovered that they are not part of the hotel. |

Friendly, helpful staff. A relaxing place to stay, with a roof top bar, and a nice ground floor restaurant. Ideal for exploring on foot, with bus and Metro stops close by. Would definitely stay there again. Excellent. |

Great service: we checked in before noon, our room was ready 15 minutes later and we were offered coffee/tea while waiting. All the staff were extremely helpful and nice. Very nice decoration, good breakfast. The room was not that big for the price, but still OK. |

This hotel is near to an underground station, and it is the very convenient geographical convenience.I felt that the service that we could use the Internet for freely was good.Their service is recommended for the person who wants to enjoy the stay in the hotel to the full pleasantly. |
