I liked the fact that Jean went above the call of duty to make my husband and I as comfortable as possible. The small staff was great & friendly. We would book again. The people in Maine were so friendly.
Weather was very cold that night and I didn't realize the heater had to be plugged in and turned on. But eventually I did and it was plenty warm.
Clean, tidy, perfect for one person for short stay.
Nothing to dislike
Location Helpful staff Breakfast Room (although the one bedroom cottage was a tad small) Parking next to chalet Toy ducks!
The room was cold at night and heater too noisy to leave on.
Convenient parking outside room.
When first entering the cottage I felt I needed to step outside to allow my wife to come in - it was totally cramped with very little floor space. We were in No 4 and appeared to be the only cottage without either a deck or porch. For $445 for 3 nights (including $20 per night for our little dog) I did not think it was value for money.
Very nice pine wood panelling inside the cottage and enjoyed the breakfast with plenty of coffee, cereal, cheese, bread, yoghurt etc which was on offer in the "Bistro". Grounds very nicely landscaped with a dogwalk at the rear.
kitchen facilities - missing a wash basin (only one available was in bathroom); pans. cabinet/shelf was missing.
over all the stay was wonderful. location, staff, cleanliness, quality of sleep, breakfast
Would have liked a little more space, not much room for suitcases or to put things, the amenities on the other hand were fantastic.
Jane at the front desk was sensational, she was very friendly and full of suggestions, her continental breakfast was the best we have ever had, many many selections to choose from. The setting of the cabins is very pretty
The bathroom was very small. Could not even dress in there.
It was in a good location for visiting the area and the staff was very helpful.
Caring hostess ready to give excellent local knowledge to visitors. Just about everything is done to make guests welcome and provide them with all the little things needed. A very friendly and efficient management
Tiny! Advertised kitchen did not exist! One chair! Old! Very unappealing breakfast!
Wonderful location.... so much to do. The breakfast was the best on our trip. Great hostess! Wonderful congenial atmosphere. I will be bringing my family there next year because there is so much to see and do.
We liked the setting-the friendliness of the staff, the comfort the breakfast and appearance of the room. The area was interesting to exploreThe nearest restaurants were good.
The bathroom was very small and needs updating. You have to empty your own waste baskets and if you want new towels everyday, there is a trade- in time at the office. The mattress was too soft and needs replacing. The cottage was small but workable for two nights.
The breakfast bistro was very nice. A good variety of foods, clean and we met wonderful travelers. Basically a good place.
Bed was hard, room was too cramped & worn
Breakfast was fine. Cute cottage that would be fun if made more comfortable.
The continental breakfast is lovely but the eating area is a little tight - smaller tables would make it more functional.
It was a very quaint room. Everything was clean and met our expectations.
Wi fi did not work. The service was poor. (This is not necessarily a fault of the facility but of the carrier). Need better curtains on the windows to block out the early morning light.
Loved the friendly atmosphere. The grounds were beautiful. There were various amenities to avail us of in our leisure time. Breakfast was always a pleasant experience and an opportunity to meet other travelers.
Ceiling fans were very dusty.
Heavy towels. Location. Cute cottages
The owner made me feel as if I had known her for years. It was our anniversary and a wedding weekend and we enjoyed our stay.
Too small room for family with children (I've asked room with children). The wi-fi was very slow and terrible.
The location, the breakfast (well complete and balanced) and the very nice attendment in the front desk.
Small room, somewhat cramped quarters. No t.v. Stale cereal at breakfast. Shower was cramped due to large molded seat in enclosure. Housekeeping had left hair in bathroom that I noticed when I got into room.
Bed was comfortable. Location is close to Camden and not too far away from Belfast.
Wi-fi doesn't work well, but they tell you that in the brochure; it's just the location. Also, for me, I'd prefer a place closer to a town; if you like seclusion, this place is the best; but for me, it was a bit too far of a drive..but it's the first time in the area for me, so I really didn't know where I was going....
Great staff; friendly, accommodating, professional. They go out of their way to help you with whatever you need, including great information about what to do in the area. The cabins, were nice, very clean; very secluded place..very peaceful....
Nice setting, great breakfast and very friendly owner!
The bathroom was not level.
the cottages were spaced far enough apart that you did't feel encroached upon.
Very cramped space, especially in the bathrooms.
Location, staff, price, breakfast.
We arrived at 1pm but had to wait until 3pm to check in because no one was in the office.
The cottage is very cozy, new, and nicely decorated. It's rustic but has a modern accent. The staff kept the room very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful too with a variety of food to choose from. We really enjoyed our stay here! It's a unique experience in Maine.
