Super nice staff, the breakfast was great and we enjoyed the happy hour. The rooms were comfortable and clean. For sure will stay here next time I come
Decoration and breakfast
Bathroom was a little bit slippery because the tub didn't have any bath rug or anything to prevent you from falling
The staff were extremely helpful and attentive to all the guests, helping everyone with planning their day and giving suggestions and directions. The breakfast was delicious and the location of the hotel was excellent as it was within walking distance of most attractions.
The room was a little small
Everything was great from the customer service to the comfort of the hotel
Parking was a little difficult
We loved the ambience and decor of this place especially since this was not visible from the outside. The furnishings, wood floors, paint colors spoke of old world elegance in a clean understated way. The lobby and public spaces were lovely and serene, even as airliners thundered overhead. But that really wasn't an issue. The quality of the breakfast was high including items from local bakeries. Our room was very charming and an added perk for me was the jacuzzi tub. Staff was extremely professional and low key. We just returned from Greece where the gracious warmth really impressed us and Hotel Vyvant had a similar feel to it. No glitz and glam. Just low key comfort.
Parking was a bit of an issue as we had to go to Hillcrest Saturday night and aside from the parking in front of the hotel the parking options were few or too expensive for our tastes. My husband did not want to park his mustang under the overpass! Eventually we spotted someone leaving from a dedicated space a few blocks away. Also we would have liked a room with some sunshine but since our window faced directly onto another building this was not possible. We could have asked for another room as I saw others that were available but I loved the jacuzzi tub in ours!
cozy atmosphere, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, free wine & beer tasting on Friday & Saturday, excellent bath & body products, general comfort, excellent value for money, only a few blocks away from the green line
street noisy (but quiet inside)
Staff Energy and vibe Complimentary happy hour from 4 to 7 on Saturday: beer, wine and smacks Breakfast Outdoor patio
Wifi was a little slow
There were two separated bedrooms in the familly apartments and full equiped kitchen. That was very comfortable. Although the hotel doesn't have a provate parking, there is plenty of parking in the street around. The hotel stuff were VERY welcoming and nice.
The breakfest didn't include much (only granola, some bakery items and juices). My children didn't have anything to eat. Thought I must say the products that were served were very good. Also the familly apartement which suits four people had only two chairs in the kitchen. That wasn't comfortable.
Stayed here during SDCC and all the staff were amazing. They were all friendly and provided great service. Room was clean and great quality. Will be coming back here again!
The staff was amazing, very polite, helpful and prompt answering any questions or needs.
Room was small for the price, room was under the upstairs hall so every footstep was heard.
I like the boutique style of Hotel Vyvant. Very charming, small hotel in a pretty decent location. Close to nearly everything that is a must see while in SanDiego. And their staff is Super!
This hotel has NO PARKING and it's not easy to find street parking that is "close". While the staff helps as much as they can, when there are not spots, there just aren't any. Big thumbs down on parking only.
Staff is super friendly. Free Breakfast was pretty good, the granola is the best part of it.
Wi-fi was pretty slow.
Nice hotel, very good location. Not noisy despite the highway and the airport nearby. Great breakfast
A couple of towels were not completely clean. Some rooms have shared bathroom which is annoying.
Staff was very friendly. Bed was comfortable. Rain shower and room looked nice.
Room was very small. Door did not lock properly; housekeeper tried to come in while sleeping with a do not disturb sign on the door. Towel rack ripped off of the wall; wifi signal was abysmal.
Lovely boutique hotel
Facility Friendly staffs :-D Healthy breakfast
noisy traveler (The sound from next room transmitted intactly.) poor wifi signal (hardly connected to internet) I stayed in spa kind room, but the spa didn't work very well. Actually, even the staff had no idea of how to use it.
Location Comfortable Beds Cleanliness Exceptional Staff Not your typical hotel Feels like a bed & breakfast
Broken a/c -- but staff accomodated beautifully Shared Bathroom -- but it wasn't that bad -- I'd get a different room with a private bath next time
The staff was great and the location
The noise from the street
We were able to walk to the zoo and balboa park - all around great location and staff were super friendly.
We got complaints for "loudness" at 10pm when we were just playing music at a decent volume and chatting. The walls are either crazy thin or we had ridiculous downstairs neighbors
This eclectic B&B has European feel, small room size but charming. I chose it for family stay close to Balboa park (note we were all adult ages, no one under 20 years of age). It met all of our expectations re location, proximity to airport, walking distance to excellent food options in Little Italy. On street parking was not difficult. Because of previous reviews re traffic on nearby highway and streets, I slept well with the use of ear plugs. It was clean, with apparent recent upgrades (painted walls, new window shades, etc).
Close to the zoo and balboa park, staff was friendly and very helpful
Only one thing, the light fittings dont have have covers.
Comfortable spacious rooms, friendly staff, good location, walkable to downtown and lots of good restaurants nearby.
The parking situation is not good - at least not during Comic Con... We had a lot of trouble with it and ended up with 2 parking tickets in 4 days.
The hotel was great. The deck area was relaxing, happy hour is fun. The lobby is peaceful and inviting. The room was clean and had a home feel to it.
The hotel was great the wifi was kind of spotty. Otherwise no real issues.
