The staff were friendly, concerned, and went out of their way to assist me, especially since I arrived after hours and needed special instructions on how to gain entry.
No parking ,and restaurants were to far away . It was to dark and didn't feel safe to walk to them.
The staff was very polite.
The friendly staff and the free beverages at happy hour. We left a phone charger and they called us and mailed it to our home!
Comfortable Beds, Nice Kitchenette, Great Breakfast, Super Nice, Helpful Staff, and Excellent Location!
Friendly staff, small hotel experience, great location
I really appreciate the character of this small hotel. The room was very comfortable, the location is quiet, and access to foods in Little Italy was perfect. Vyvant's staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
A skoash noisy with road traffic right by the highway, but only when we kept the windows open...
We loved the location, the setup, it felt we were away in Europe or the Med...
The location was perfect for my needs- in funky little Italy and walking distance to balboa park, the museums and the zoo. The staff were super nice and helpful. Rooms were spacious, the bed was comfortable. I will go back!
Parking and breakfast
Everything for the most part.
It was very noisy with the busy road on a hill just outside my window plus the landing and taking off of airplanes. I asked for a wake-up call on the morning that the time changed. I was awakened on the old time and thus missed an important meeting.
The fruit available all day was excellent. Breakfast coffee and yogurt were good but I would have appreciated something non-sweet and some protein (like bagel and cheese or peanut butter).
Staff is very cheerful. Breakfasts were great. There is a lot of attention to detail here.
Comfortable room, nice location in Little Italy. The service was superlative. Parking and the shared bath wasn't an issue. We loved the complimentary beer, wine and appetizers at happy hour.
A lovely hotel with fantastic staff! Perfect location: a lively neighbourhood with lots of restaurants and cafes right around the corner, and less than 10 min walk to the green line trolley station. Nice breakfast. Shared bathroom very spacious and clean and only shared with one other room.
Parking is a problem
Location was lovely. Easy to get around.
The hotel is really great! It is kind of a big house full of character. Great location! Super friendly staff! I highly recommend!!!
Freeway and traffic noise is constant. Hardwood floors are nice, but one can hear people walking in the rooms on the above level; this could be an issue if the guests on the above level are inconsiderate. Perhaps, rugs may reduce noise. My room could have used a chair.
Staff was friendly and eager to please. The breakfast pastries were tasty. There is a Happy Hour in the courtyard on Friday and Saturday evenings. The hotel is a few blocks from restaurants and stores in Little Italy. The hotel attracts discerning travelers.
It is so incredibly hard to find parking around this hotel. They don't have any on-site, so you have to drive around and around to find a spot. Not so fun when you have luggage to bring back. Weekend nights are so bad that it can take 30 minutes or more to find parking.
The staff were so friendly and made us feel very welcome. The prices were great, and we really enjoyed the free breakfast. If they had eggs too, it would be perfect, but that may be asking too much. I still dream of their granola! Proximity to many of the best spots is great. I LOVED their kitchenette with all the facilities I needed.
If I would stay again I would request a room on the top floor. The people above me were moving around until about midnight. The floors are very creaky.
Everyone was very helpful. Comfortable and safe for a person traveling alone. Very nice breakfast in the morning with good coffee and tea.
The food for breakfast was very high quality but very limited choices each morning. A little more variety would be appreciated.
The location was perfect right in Little Italy, walking distance from multiple restaurants and downtown. Staff was incredibly nice and accomodating, giving us some suggestions. The small terrace is awesome for Happy Hour.
Parking was a challenge
Lovely clean place. Very friendly helpful staff
I wasn't thrilled about not having a designated parking lot.
Staff was amazing and the hotel reminded me of a modern bed and breakfast. the hotel felt homey and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again!
I felt like I had to creep down the wooden staircase to keep from waking others in nearby rooms
Comfy bed, nice linens
No bad experiences here!
I love this hotel. It's very clean and beautiful! The staff are always really friendly and helpful, the beds are really comfortable and the breakfast is delicious.
Extremely noisy place. Having a room directed to the main road makes it very difficlult to sleep. Demand for a roam to rear side of hotel makes it acceptable but still noisy.
Very charming hotel with kind staff. Good location for going out in Little Italy. Easy to get in touch with other guests for a chat. Relaxed atmosphere.
Parking was very limited. Bathroom in our suite was pretty humble but some of the other bathrooms I viewed were nice.
Old style elegance and location were pluses. Staff were excellent as well as the lobby breakfast and evening refreshments.
