I enjoyed the feel of home. The cleanliness and the breakfast every morning was awesome! The staff was the friendliest staff at any hotel that I have stayed at before, thank you!!
That I had to leave...
Having to share a bathroom would normally turn me off. But don't let that stop you from visiting this location. The rooms are wonderful, the staff is excellent and the value of the best you can hope for.
It's an old building, so you can hear through the walls (not bad, but certainly a bit).
I loved the decor and wood flooring, and really appreciated the opportunity to use the lounge and shower facilities after check out, while waiting for our flight. The staff couldn't have been nicer, nor more helpful. I'd definitely stay there again.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Quirky hotel with great character. Very clean. Good simple breakfast. Good location for many tourist sites and business.
Poor sound-proofing between rooms with adjoining doors. Use of disposable plastic and paper glasses/cups at breakfast is unecessary and a waste environmentally.
Urban flat is not very nice but other rooms are awsome!
The staff was very welcoming and helpful with any of our concerns/questions. Ideal location and within walking distance to downtown.
No view but didn't miss it at all.
The location is excellent, the breakfasts are good and the beds are very comfortable.
Traffic noise and poor light insulation.
Nice hotel, Free Happy Hour, Walking distance to everything in Little Italt
Our bed was rather high, but still comfortable.
The location is fairly near the airport which is the only reason we chose it. The staff was very helpful....(when they were there.)
Share a bathroom with other guests for $120/nite! Two person room with only 1 chair. Nearby freeway traffic interfered with sleep. No elevator in 2 story bldg. At 4 AM two 80 year old ladies had to carry our bags down the stairs.
The hotel is beautiful and the staff is very service oriented
I liked everything
The staff was amazing and styles us with a chilled bottle of Prosecco when I mentioned we were celebrating a birthday.
No parking at hotel but we knew that and found a non-metered spot less than 2 blocks away.
The amenities were great and the staff was helpful in helping us find local things to do.
Staff Cleanliness Location Breakfast
I liked everything- the warm staff, convenient location to the farmer's market, little Italy, and the trolley line. Room was very spacious, clean and well appointed. Nice, classic American furnishings, and generous breakfast of juices and baked goods from local bakeries. Great value, very comfortable stay. Staff were so warm, competent, and informative!
Not a thing, rate it 10/10!
The location is great. It has a very home-like feel. The staff is great and te price is great! Love the complimentary beer and wine during happy hour. We will definitely be returning
The staff was so welcoming and knowledgeable. They really made you feel as though you were on vacation somewhere besides California.
That we had to leave :-(
Great place overall with really friendly and helpfull staff
Room with not much view, but was cheap; Shared bathroom,
Super nice staff, the breakfast was great and we enjoyed the happy hour. The rooms were comfortable and clean. For sure will stay here next time I come
Decoration and breakfast
Bathroom was a little bit slippery because the tub didn't have any bath rug or anything to prevent you from falling
The staff were extremely helpful and attentive to all the guests, helping everyone with planning their day and giving suggestions and directions. The breakfast was delicious and the location of the hotel was excellent as it was within walking distance of most attractions.
The room was a little small
We loved staying at Hotel Vyvant in Little Italy! It is within in walking distance of lots of great restaurants and so close to the bay and downtown San Diego. They have a free breakfast each morning and a happy hour in the afternoon - definitely something we loved!
Everything was great from the customer service to the comfort of the hotel
Parking was a little difficult
Common elegant reading and visiting areas instead of hallways, good old world euro personality, furniture and style, and younger age of other guests.
Homeless sleeping under freeway nearby
located in the vicinity of the airport, directly alongside the freeway, this place OUGHT to be noisy, but it certainly isn't just a block or two from a darling neighborhood of restaurants, shops, etc., a few blocks from the water lovely room with every possible amenity very accommodating staff I didn't take advantage of the breakfasts or the wine tasting, but will next time
can't even make up something to complain about
We loved the ambience and decor of this place especially since this was not visible from the outside. The furnishings, wood floors, paint colors spoke of old world elegance in a clean understated way. The lobby and public spaces were lovely and serene, even as airliners thundered overhead. But that really wasn't an issue. The quality of the breakfast was high including items from local bakeries. Our room was very charming and an added perk for me was the jacuzzi tub. Staff was extremely professional and low key. We just returned from Greece where the gracious warmth really impressed us and Hotel Vyvant had a similar feel to it. No glitz and glam. Just low key comfort.
Parking was a bit of an issue as we had to go to Hillcrest Saturday night and aside from the parking in front of the hotel the parking options were few or too expensive for our tastes. My husband did not want to park his mustang under the overpass! Eventually we spotted someone leaving from a dedicated space a few blocks away. Also we would have liked a room with some sunshine but since our window faced directly onto another building this was not possible. We could have asked for another room as I saw others that were available but I loved the jacuzzi tub in ours!
