holiday not long enough
Large Room was great but too low, with main view of road and Marina from balcony. Day Tours - desk staff were very helpful. Free WiFi
Hotel restaurant was closed on arrival. Away from the buzz of Waikiki. Marina area is pretty dead - a car park, when most Marinas in the world have restaurants and bars surrounding them. Area needs developing to inject atmosphere.
For a traveller on a budget, this is a perfect place to be: fairly spacious room, a good bathroom, a kitchenette with all the amenities, cutlery and pans, and a washing machine/dryer right on the same floor- all these can help save a lot during one's stay in a fairly expensive city. Add a supermarket (7am- 11 pm) on the ground floor, a nice coffee shop, a bar/restaurant on site, and a stone's throw distance from the Waikiki beach, with no hustle and bustle of a far busier posh part of Ala Moana Blvd.
Everything was up to our expectations
The proximity to Ala Moana shops and Waikiki beach. Also our upgrade to a unit with a kitchen
The staff not being helpful re transportation to waikele outlets - we were told there was no chance of us getting to the outlet stores but discovered that Mahalo Adventure Tours provide a return shuttle service for $10 including a free voucher booklet from a single phonecall
customer service was amazing. Best kept secret in Waikiki :-)
The staff were so nice and helpful and the location was perfect. Right beside the Ala Mona Centre and a lovely walk into Waikiki. Would definitely recommend staying here. The hotel and the room was great, the view was stunning and we were very well looked after. It was our honeymoon and we got a bottle of champagne on arrival in our room. Was a nice touch and was really enjoyable to drink on the balcony while enjoying the amazing view. The room was very spacious and even though we stayed for 10 days never felt crowed or on top of each other in the room. Great place and will definitely be back.
There was building work going on at the time and we had been advised that this would have been finished by the time we arrived.
Air con unit was noisy. No bar service at the pool.
Great location, away from the fast pace of Waikiki beachfront, everything in easy walking distance. Best kept secret in Oahu!
Location ++++to shopping&beach Quiet on ocean side of hotel Looses sun on mountain side early
Toilet over flowed and it took an hour for the problem to be fixed No kettle for tea making Booked 2 double beds but got one plus couch Tired dark rooms
Clean, spacious and well situated on a bus route making it convenient for Waikiki and Ala Moana Shopping Centre
Although all the electrical appliances worked well, the kitchen and bathrooms needed updating.
Location is perfect, rooms are excellent, amenities in the hotel are great. Superb value for money!
the pool...but it certainly would not stop us from staying with you again.
Location. Views. Comfortable bed. Facilities of room including kitchenette.
Excellent view from balcony on 22nd floor Bar on ground floor has great views and is value for money, with very friendly staff.
Waiting 8Hours for a room, which appears to be hotel policy, and I feel positively dated in this era of travel. Awful coffee, and no kitchen facilities whatsoever other than coffee machine and microwave, not even a spoon.
It was a bit away from the hustle of the city centre which was good. Great bar down stairs.
Great location and a lovely room with a fully equiped kitchen (I think we got an upgrade). Ocean view rooms are quieter than some hotels on Ala Moana Blvd. Both the restaurant at the top of the building and the grill on the ground floor were very good. I would stay there again.
The shower door and the wardrobe door both came off their rails when we used them and the room was a little dusty when we arrived.
Staff was friendly and professional.
Pool area had no hot tub
Room is very big Good location
Bedding. Large room and bathroom. The courtyard in back of hotel is so inviting. Location! Closeness to beach, mall. Enjoyed the walk to the Blaisdall arena to see lion king. It's entertaining to see the hustle and bustle of all the people on a walk uptown Waikiki but I'm always SO happy to return to the Ilikai where it's much less hectic. The large balcony with table and 2 chairs.
Would like to have a foot rest stool for the upholstered chair in room.
Location is beginning of Waikiki beach. (it is like 9 from 10 points)
Only wallet parking. :( $28 per day + tips...
Staff helpful.Close to Ala Moana shopping and restaurants.
Not really beach-front. Older, aging hotel with older, aging facilities.
The front desk staff were very helpful and accommodated us based on our requests we had made. At first they didn't follow up on one of the request for double beds, but it was a quick and easy fix to switch rooms, so it worked out. The room is spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom is big with a shower and bathtub split. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. Also the boat harbor parking is a great place to park if you have multiple cars as well.
There wasn't much I didn't like. Everything went well when we stayed here.
I liked the fact that the hotel was close enough to Waikiki to walk and yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle.
The suites with kitchen is very convenient, and the balcony is big.
The reception is very rude and not helpful at all. And the manager is very rude, very low level and bad attitude.
