Fan mode on heat/cool unit allowed me to create helpful 'white noise' Comfortable bed One-piece tub enclosure avoided common tile and grout problems
not as clean as it could have been inoperable chain lock on exterior door
It was a one day stay and convenient.
Beds need upgrading ...although slept well.
Easy access, friendly front desk,
WiFi poor, slow! Beds old and soft.
The diner next to the hotel had a really good breakfast
Room was clean didn't smell easy in and out
Only complaint no coffee pot
Room was in need of updating.
An older, drive style motel that has been well maintained and upgraded. The owner was very friendly, nice and helpful. Rooms and baths have been updated within the limits of the original design. They aren't lush but are very comfortable and pleasant.
I had no complaints and nothing that I didn't like about the Lockhart Inn.
Very uncomfortable beds, dirty stained carpets, room had an odor to it, mold on air conditioner.
Free Wi-Fi, minifridge and microwave in the room. We checked in late and the A/C had already been turned on so that the room was cool when we arrived. Check-in was quick and easy.
Some rooms might have been updated with the white bed spreads, modern furniture and marble jacuzzi tub - unfortunately we didn't get one of those. Though the room we did get (with the very old green/white flowery bedspreads and dated furniture) was depicted in the group of pics on the website, the furnishings were much more dated in person than they appeared. The throw pillows on the bed had very obvious multiple dark stains, the bathroom definitely should have been cleaned better and the faucet on the sink was not secured to the counter and lifted up each time we tried to turn on the water. Not sure why they put the pics of the restuarant next door on the website - it isn't part of the motel and does not give a discount for motel guests - which is the impression one gets with those type of pics, especially since the motel doesn't offer a continental breakfast. Bottom line for any review: would I stay there again and recommend it to my friends? No on both...
my stay there was very good and a nice cafe right next door an good food every thing about it was very good
wifi was slow
I liked the location. It was close to a State Park that I was spending some time at.
I didn't think that the value was that great. I paid around $70 a night and it should have been only $50! I could hear the people above me very easily.
The maid made the bed & would sit my son's teddy bear on the bed he enjoyed it because she loved his teddy
air condition, microwave, refrigerator, television and free internet
dirty windows and cheap bedspread
Proximity to our event
Poor parking facilities. Remote died. Very noisy
Next to great Barbecue place
Nobody at front desk, until called; then, they couldn't find my reservation; once they found it, the room preference wasn't noted (2nd floor, non-smoking); room was adequate at best.
The hotel room was clean, the bed was comfortable The outside gas not been updated I would stay there again
Absolutely wonderful host. Surely the friendliest I've ever experienced. The owner made me special tea in the morning and helped me out with my allergies. The rooms are fine, standard motel rooms, very functional and to the point. Breakfas tacos t at the cool little cafe next door are great too - a hang out for the local workers, and it is fun to sit and watch everybody go by their daily routine. All in all a wonderful place to stay.
I appreciated the friendliness of the front desk clerk and the ease with which I was able to check in. I had no idea that the weekend I stayed was MS 150 and a motorcycle competition, which explained the totally booked hotels in the area. (I was in town for a friend's wedding in nearby Dale.) The HD flat-panel television was also a boon, and I enjoyed Masterpiece PBS: Mr. Selfridge, The Office, and part of Kill Bill, Vol. 1. I was also thankful for the proximity to food centers; the inn is flanked by a barbecue joint, Lockhart Cafe (where, as a guest, you get a free breakfast taco and drink or $2 off another entree), and Whataburger, with Dairy Queen, McDonald's, Domino's, Sonic, Mr. Taco, Doughnut Palace, and another chicken joint within walking distance, not to mention the Walmart Supercenter. I didn't need it, but the microwave and fridge were good to have. The water pressure was also to my liking, and I appreciated having a room away from the street.
The room had obviously been smoked in before, and I had requested a non-smoking room due to my allergies and asthma. There were some important amenities conspicuously absent, namely the bit of the chain that secures the door, a clock (although I have a watch and phone, it was just strange not to have a clock on the nightstand!), an ironing board and iron, and a smoke alarm (the lid and batteries were gone, wires dangling). There was also a horsefly buzzing around the room when I entered. And while it wasn't a function of the inn itself, I was disappointed but unsurprised at how early many of the eateries closed. The Domino's closed at 10:30 PM, for example. (Of course, Whataburger is open 24 hours...)
Plenty of ice available. Casual atmosphere with the staff.
No clock in the room.
The outside want impress you, but the inside was practically new and it was clean. For the price you want feel cheated lots of good eating venues also.
It's located on hwy 183 so there is the traffic but it didn't keep me up.
parking was like for all compCT CARS,
No plug for sink or bathtub.Price was more than doubled for this weekend
Restaurant and gas station, and majority of everything is in walking distinct.
The location in off of the freeway which mean there will be noise all through the night, and sheets, towel need washing or they need to purchase new ones, overall the entire room needs a makeover. I did purchase towel, sheet-set and cover for the night I stayed.
noisy air conditioning, bad smell, old run-down furniture
The clean rooms and the staff Mrs Candy was nice and helpfull
the stop light in frount people taking off at the light like it was a speedway at night
