In the Marina District of San Francisco, features a free parking spot. This inn is less than a 10-minute walk from Marina Green and renowned shops and cafes on Chestnut and Union Street.
Score from 925 reviews Very good
In the lively Marina District of downtown San Francisco, this motel has comfortable accommodations close to the area's main attractions, including Fisherman's Wharf.

Right in San Francisco's Marina District, only a short walk to area attractions, including the scenic Presidio waterfront park, this motel has comfortable accommodations in a convenient downtown...
Score from 537 reviews Good
I loved that the rooms were nicely renovated, clean, and comfortable. Also was within walking distance to all the attractions as well as some neat shops and restaurants. I felt safe even at night.
I didn't like that there was no onsite restaurant but there was plenty of food choices within less than a ten minute walk.
By looking the outside at first I did not want to go in the rooms but the rooms were nice and the beds comfortable!! It is close to bus stops and many restaurants and bars!! The wifi was excellent and the water was hot!!
The walls are very thin you can hear everything but that's how all the motels in SF are!! Parking is extremely limited so get there at the time of check in!!
The staff was great. The price was great for a weekend rate in San Francisco. The bed was comfortable and the rooms were newly renovated
Recently remodeled with nice furniture, free parking, free wifi, beautiful bathroom, clean
A lot of noises from the street! Bed wasn't comfortable (too soft and the it was moving the whole time).
Location was good
Our Room was getting serviced at 6 at night when we were in there. No one at reception 3 times we went down. We stayed 3 nights and there was a party in the room every night. We tried to ring reception but no one answered.
Good location on a large motel strip; helpful staff; rooms cleaned daily; photos are representative of what the rooms actually look like. (Tip: Get amazing Ethiopian coffee at Bereka down the street).
No breakfast; pricier than other options nearby; limited parking spots.
Location, bed was comfortable, room clean, lots of information of sights to see in san fransico, maps..
Terrible parking, shower door would not shut, ice machine broke, no snack machines.
Location was good. Not noisy, not too busy. Didn't feel sketchy, felt safe and accessible. Room was comfortable & renovated. The restroom was excellent, new & clean. Free toiletries smelled good not cheap. The fridge & microwave were helpful. We had kids with us so juice & milk were kept cool. Staff were excellent, when we ran out of toilet paper, we didn't have to wait too long for additional supply. Parking was also a plus, they ran out of space in front of the property but we didn't know there's plenty more in the back which was lit & safe. Overall experience was nice. We recommend this place and would come back again.
For the money, it's perfect! It was a girlfriend shopping and foodie trip. The interior look is updated and modern/very pretty bedding, coffeemaker, nice Philip Roth toiletries, wall TV, all plumbing, bedding great, towels big, lots of pillows to support my preferred sleeping position, parking right outside room. We even pulled in very late after show on a Friday night with no problem parking, although I could see this may change if all rooms were full. Location is the best for multi- night stays because it is right at the start of the Chestnut street shopping on one side, and a few blocks up, the start of the Union street shopping on the other side, both walkable in their entirety from motel. Short drive to Fillmore shopping, and rest of city of course so close and accessible. You are not far from the water and wharf, Golden Gate, Fort mason with its craft fairs, so the feel of SF so present everywhere. We took car everywhere, but I bet public transport is easy from this spot. I thought Lombard would be busy and huge, but it's not! We enjoyed the homey, SF city vibe without the concrete jungle and chain store, vegas-feel of Union Square downtown, a real San Francisco letdown. We were going to stay at a glitzy downtown hotel because prices were discounted....until surprise you find your parking will cost sixty dollars per day! So if you choose other lodging a half mile towards wharf, ask about this you'll get sticker shock and what you thought was a discount disappears. Here, it's free and you come and go as you please. This motel was a real find and surprise for our SF adventure. We actually high-fived each other upon entering the room.
Exterior is really not as bad as photo, and who really cares for a safe, comfy night, you're in San Francisco! We got two queen beds, asked for non smoking room, but when we arrived asked for ground floor room instead of the one we were assigned on second floor. Smelled like a smoking room, of which we should have been warned. But within seconds of course you no longer notice it! I'm being picky, this place is really solid for the price, and I bet the nice lady at front desk would have accommodated in some way if I complained. Full length mirror installed would be a cheap, very useful and much-needed improvement. No ventilation in bathroom to dry out shower overnight. They did install shower shelves, some reviewers complained, so these are owners who do listen to suggestions. There are small things, we didn't come for the lodging, we came for the city.
Location is good only.
The room was smelly, coach was very dirty.
We liked the convenient location, no frills, room was newly remodeled, and towels were clean. The toilettries were surprisingly really nice.
Noise from Lombard St. Noise from other tenants (1st night there were a couple literally screaming SO loud) Parking is limited and space is small
Friendly service, comfortable room. I was in san fran to see the sights not stay at the hotel all day. Internet worked ok.
Door was not flush with floor, had to stuff hand towel to seal it.
This motel is almost completely renovated. Even if is 1 star, I think it will be better than others 2 or 3 stars options... It is simple but clean.
Rooms seemed to be remodeled and were definitely a plus after seeing the outside maintenance.
Outside in very poor repair. Including room numbers written on post its then taped to the doors. Also there was a 2 inch gap under the door big enough for light and or rat or mice or other pests to enter. The blinds were also broken allowing sun to come in. They also started construction at 7am and were cutting wood flooring directly outside my room.
Inside looked nice. A refrigerator and microwave were nice to have in the room.
The cracks around the door allowed for smoke to come in from outside, and noise. It was very noisy, people outside having a good time. We could hear everything the people upstairs were doing. Including moving furniture late at night (I assume this isn't common).
Free parking! Great position for tourists near lots of restaurants in chestnut street and not far from fisherman's warf and golden gate. Also less homeless people in this area than union square and soma.
wi-fi not always working
My wife ended up in the hospital in San Francisco so I needed a room cheap and close to the hospital. This fit the bill and I was surprised how nice the room was for the price.
Parking was cramped and a little hard to get out of. Not a big deal
The front desk girl was rude and not very friendly.
Basic accommodation that met all our needs at a good price. Will stay there again next time we visit San Francisco.
Can be a bit noisy.
We have stayed here on a few occasions and it has always been pleasant. While there were renovations going on for our last stay it certainly was not a problem. The position of this motel is a big plus.
Can be a bit noisy.
the motel was within walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf and easy access to public transportation. It is on a very busy street, but we asked for a rm. in the back and couldn't hear the traffic noise. Free parking was a plus. We will definitely stay there again!
you could hear the guests in the rm. above ours.
Free parking, however with limited space. The rooms were clean and looked like recently renovated. Many restaurants were close by. A bus stop was around the corner.
Nice bathroom fixtures and comfortable beds/bedding. good city location was close to bus transportation.
No continental breakfast, lots of late noise outside our room&noisy neighbors in room next to us, no elevator, difficult parking access.(Two sisters, both senior citizens,)
Everything was brand new and clean
The noise from the busy road and pub next door at the weekend.

Noisy at night, and slow internet speed.
