Room was clean and comfortable with flat screen, refrigerator, and microwave. Bathroom was spotless both days with fresh clean towels.
The bathroom was small.
nice neighborhood with many great restaurants, bars, cafes. safe area. close to the water, with easy access to both golden gate bridge and fisherman's wharf. close to public transport, and very easy to get to city (or anywhere else) on bus. handy tip - the $2.25 muni bus ticket can be used for up to 3 hours on its transport network! My room and bed was very comfortable. Didn't spend a lot of time in my room as I was out a lot, but its a good standard for a motel.
Had problems with internet initial, but the problem was resolved very quickly and professionally.
Noisy, could hear the tenants flush toilets and walking common wall rooms
Clean room Comfortable bed Fridge and microwave Modern bathroom We didn't use the WiFi so no comment on Internet speed Friendly staff
We reserved a room for four people and they only gave us two towels. I went down for extras but no one was in the office; nor did anyone answer the doorbell. Bad timing??
large room with good location, shower pressure good
wifi connection was terrible!!! staff on occassion were unhelpful, didn't understand what you were asking. Arrived on first day, buliders in the room
The staff excellent very helpful. The place was clean.THIS PALCE IS UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT AND I THINK IN TIME IT WILL BE MUCH BETTER AND FAIRER VALUE FOR MONEY.They are trying to make it right, and I understand this takes time.
Needs to have more milk whitener or long life milk, air conditioning needs a little attention
1. The iron was awesome 2. So was the weather
I usually look for a value-priced hotel/motel and have had very good luck, especially in San Francisco. Then I stayed at the Lombard Plaza. Do yourself a favor...RUN AWAY!!! 1. WiFi was un-usable 2. Owner blocked the driveway with his BMW 3. Cleaning staff sole my beer 4. Cigarette burns on the blankets 5. Shower door didn't close 6. Poor bathroom layout 7. Over priced!!! Get the sense I was not happy? At least I didn't get bitten by bed bugs.
Location is good and price was right.
Wall are too thin. Could not fall a sleep because of the upstairs neighboor as too loud.
Rooms are like new. Everything is clean. There is a fridge and a microwave (I would stay away from the coffee machine though). Located near the restaurants on Chestnut street and near a bus station
The exterior of the motel is questionable. They say they have a new management so perhaps they will improve that as well.
Great location, close to transport, good restaurants. Clean rooms. Polite staff.
It's being loudly renovated, a lot more needs to be done. Very thin walls, you can hear "everything" that happens in the next room. No shelf in the shower for soap. Cleaning wasn't done till 4pm. Pricey for what you got.
Location was desirable
room rate was not worth the accommodations. The wifi was terrible and didn't work more than half the time. There are under renovations so there was constant noise during the days. The parking was a joke and the tv was horribly fuzzy on every channel. All in all I would not return and would pay the extra $35 a night to stay across the street where the internet is fast, parking is covered, rooms are much nicer, tv crystal clear.
Nice remodeled room. Good location. Right next the two bus stops and restaurants. It was quiet for its location on Lombard St.
Need a soap dish in shower. Extra towel racks would be nice. Better door.Forgot to plug in a few items in the room. Clean up the parking lot. Make the outside of the Motel nicer. More inviting. I would still stay here again.
Everything is new as all the rooms are newly renovated and refurbished. The hotel is very close to almost all famous attractions.
What I dislike the most is you can hear footsteps of the people on the top floor walking around their room. And also wifi is so slow.
The rooms were decent sized and clean. Room has a fridge and microwave
The area is very noisy. People live in this motel and there were a lot of parties.
This hotel is under new ownership and is obviously working very hard to make a great name and establish a positive reputation for itself. Here are some highlights: Wonderful and very accommodating staff, small hotel without a lot of walking to get from front desk to room, awesome location close to dining and shopping, SUPER CLEAN and NEWLY REMODELED rooms (best part), parking included (hooray!), very spacious rooms, best value of any motel in a safe neighborhood, easy to get to in transit, quick and painless check in and check out. Our room had double sinks, an awesome shower, microwave and refrigerator. The front desk lady was very accommodating and helped us with a particular traveling challenge - she really went above and beyond and earned our loyalty! We totally felt taken care of!
I don't have anything bad to say that would prevent me from staying here again. If I have to point out any flaws (keeping in mind the low cost relative to rates in the city), here are the points that come to mind: No elevator, but just a quick walk up the stairs. You can hear street noise (such as the occasional siren), but you are in the city, after all. Beds are on the firmer side, so if this bothers you - you probably won't sleep well (personally, I slept fin). No view, so get outside and enjoy the city! My only fear is that this hotel will begin to gain notoriety and the rooms aren't going to remain lower in cost for long - shhh...let's keep this one our little secret!
The location to the San Francisco attractions was great. It included free parking. We like to walk so we walked up Lombard St. to the crookedest street and then on to telegraph hill and the Coit Tower, and into Chinatown. There are great restaraunts close by for breakfast. We visited Cafe Golo for breakfast. It was so fresh and delicious and great customer service.
It does get a bit noisy on Lombard St at night especially on weekends with street traffic and being very close to some nightlife.
Although from the outside it looks aweful, the interiors seem to have been refurbished quite recently, it is actually quite nice and confourtable. The room is spacious and clean, the wifi works well and there is a coffee machine (as in most places around there).
It is a bit far from the city centre (30-40 min by bus/tram to the ferry building). The area is ok although not very interesting itself. The price is high for what it offers, in my opinion
Location - Close to the best part of the city along the waterfront and the Presidio Staff was helpful
Could have been a little cleaner
It was a great location. Very close to the waterfront, and worked out great as a base for walking or driving to destinations all over SF. Very convenient neighborhood with most shops (even a FedEx Kinkos) within walking distance. I spent a lot of time walking in the area. While the outside of the motel is not really impressive, the room was comfortable and clean. They have done, and are still doing, lots of remodeling, and the updates in the rooms are very nice. I really appreciated having a microwave, refrigerator and big screen TV in the room.
The parking is just weird. It's angled parking in a narrow lot, and very difficult to get out of, especially if the lot is full. Many people, including myself, ended up backing out into the busy traffic on Lombard to get out. They do have an additional lot, and although it has the same configuration, there were very few cars in it so it was easier to maneuver and get out of. On small thing, and not really a complaint . . . the bathroom has been beautifully remodeled but they did not provide any place in the shower for your toiletries. I had to place everything on the floor of the shower and of course, the soap kept sliding!
Motel was under renovation, but was only a mile walk to the wharf, which we loved!
Location, cleanliness, microwave and in room refrigerator
Parking is extremely tight.
Amazing staff. (under new management) Really comfy. Very Clean. Great room. Great location. AMAZING SHOWER. Parking.
Terrible Wi-Fi. Bad locks on the doors. No closet. No safe.
Not much. On a very busy noisy road, very old shabby buildings although our room was ok inside.
Very overpriced, shabby and not welcoming.
Rooms were clean and fresh. Staff were very helpful. Great location. Restaurants just around the corner and easy walking distance to Fisherman's wharf and the marina.
Microwave was dirty and no hangers for clothes. The place is undergoing renovations so the outside appearance can be disconcerting but the rooms are fine.
