The place was beautifully maintained, and the staff were friendly, and capable. It was a nostalgic visit to the 50's. There were MANY parks and great restaurants, and of course - the beach and aquarium.

We could have used a few more outlets in the bedrooms.

Just what you need for a 4 day get away to Monterey. If you plan to spend time seeing the town or at an event, having a clean, quiet and comfortable place to relax is a welcomed. Just the right amenities to make the stay enjoyable without over doing it and charging more!

It was a good value for the money.

There was a very perfumed smell to the linens and towels. This was a problem for me because I am allergic to perfumed detergents. I have stayed in many places and this was the first time I have noticed a perfumed detergent used.

Comfortable, with a lot of room for the family. Older, but it felt like home. Staff was friendly.

Wish it was a little closer to the beach.

I loved the indoor spa and that the rooms are all ground level. dont have to hear someone stomping their feet from above.

the walls were a little thin, and there's an airport nearby, so you hear the planes fly over.

Staff were really helpful - giving directions to places, advise on things to do/see and recommending restaurants. We even got free appetisers for a restaurant they recommended

The only thing to complain about was the bed was too firm for our liking but that's all about preference. Also there was no iron (which once you've been travelling for a bit you need )

Clean and comfortable rooms.

The room was very comfortable and clean, the staff was friendly, the premises were well kept, and the price was right! They even upgraded me to a double-queen room when I had originally booked a single queen (before I knew my adult daughter would be staying with me), for less than $8 more. The location is just a couple of miles from the aquarium, wharf, and Presidio, and there were plenty of places nearby to get a quick bite. I will definitely stay there again!

The rooms were extremely clean, grounds well kept and flowers were beautiful. Quiet and homey, reminded me so much of where I grew up, in a motel. Appreciated all the hard work everyone did to help our stay so wonderful!!

Bookings misrepresents what the "Cottage" is. It is NOT suitable for 2 couples traveling together.
