The hospitality from the owner. She gave us information on the area and treated us very well. Breakfast was incredible. I would stay there again. We ate at Mcloone's Long Branch, a local restaurant. It was also excellent. We liked the location of it.
Knowledgeable, friendly host. Good breakfast. Attractive facility.
No elevator. Mattress too hard. Heater noisy.
Owner was very friendly and enjoyable to chat with. Although I was disappointed I couldn't get eggs on a Monday morning, the pancakes were excellent and the food overall was delicious. The front porch was very welcoming and the house was nicely decorated for the season.
The room temperature was way to hot and there was no way to adjust it. The bathroom is tiny, but was adequate for a one-night stay.
Overall atmosphere, great location, large comfortable room and an outstanding made to order breakfast. Access to beach, dining and other locations was excellent. Staff was extremely helpful and courteous.
Private bathroom, daily maid service and bed turned down each night, great breakfast, very pleasant staff.
Still can't think of anything to say.
Peaceful comfortable and friendly yet close to the beach amenities by the bus shuttle every thirty minutes
Lovely accomodation - especially loved the breakfast, which included fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals and one hot "entree" during the week (pancakes, omelette, etc.) and a choice of several "entrees" on the weekend (french toast, eggs, ...). Free private parking & WIFI are a plus. Also, you can borrow beach chairs. One thing you should be aware of: It's not a small B&B with only a couple of rooms - with 12 rooms it's more like a small hotel. Still, it is owner-operated and has the feeling of a B&B to it.
Our room was on the third floor with no elevator - had to carry our luggage all the way up.
Breakfast expertly prepared, delicious, varied and nicely presented. Being able to stay in a "summer cottage" similar to the long gone mansions of Long Branch was a special treat.
Nothing I didn't like.
Breakfast outside was great!! Always a home baked muffin..yummy And Esther the proprieter & the girls that work there were very pleasant & nice to talk to.
I would have liked to come back in the afternoon like I have in other B&Bs, to some soft drinks like lemonade. & snacks in the afternoon like a cookie or a mini muffin...but all in all very nice place...Oh & pier village is very nice just very pricey.
Lovely B&B. The room I stayed in is a nice size wirh lots of windows. You can't control the a/c which is always on, but the ceiling fan was perfect for the evening. The rooms are very comfortable. The breakfast on the weekend couldn't be better and the staff is excellent
The rooms could use a little updating and refreshing.
I loved the building, a beautiful colonial kept in pristine condition. The staff is polite and very kind, the host is caring and nice.
The smell of food creeping up the stairways into my room.
Food and cleanliness, comfortable bed and Victorian ambiance .
The owner charged me before we checked in, and then mistakenly charged me for two rooms for two nights, and not the one room for one night on my confirmation. Refund of $684 is still not processed, and my acct is overdrawn! Nothing like running out of money the first day of your vacation! Ugh
We loved everything about this place. Esther is wonderful. Breakfast was superb. Long Branch has an enormous beach, just a few blocks away, that was still deserted at 10AM on a Tuesday. The only possible blemish is that the bed was only a double bed. Didn't bother us and we would return here for sure.
I liked the town & all that it offered.
I didn't like the Inn keeper. She had a chip on her shoulder. I always go with my husband & children to bed & breakfasts where the Inn keeper is always friendly, personal & kind. This time I went away with an old college friend. There was a lack of warmth. I don't get it.
In keeper very accommodating
Bread and potatoes with breakfast could have been better
wonderful staff and hostess making us feel right at home
everything. Ester was so nice and made us feel like we knew her for years.
Esther was very welcoming, she made sure all was to our liking and the staff was friendly and hospitable. The breakfast was amazing with many options and delicious!
Honestly, there was nothing I didn't like. I would go back in a heartbeat and I would even consider hosting a wedding there.
The room was spacious with two queen size beds which were very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious served by friendly staff. Overall, it was a enjoyable stay.
Small things such as the bathroom door did not close entirely. The water flow in the shower does not come out with a full stream.
Very welcoming The owner Esther couldn't have been nicer or more helpful
The building itself is exquisite, and mostly well maintained. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and helpful. Breakfasts were excellent - lots of choice at the weekend and well cooked and presented. Some rooms are clearly much better than others, so worth asking questions.
The wifi did not extend with any strength to our room. Had to actually leave the room to connect and then return. Seems to do less well with tablets and handhelds. The room itself was small and had one wooden chair in which to relax. We spent as little time there as possible. The garden is mostly hosta so was lacking in color. Breakfast at the weekend starts at 8:00 - rather late for early risers.
the staff and owner were wonderful it was delighful
It was very easy to find and friendly
Too far away from the shore,so need a car
