The location was perfect for our needs. The room was comfortable.
The smoke alarm woke us many times with the battery low voice warning. No hair dryer and no reply when we left a message.
A group of friends were doing a Spartan Race at Fenway. Even though we arrived before check-in, they let us change clothes and leave our cars there. No breakfast included, but they had coffee & tea available. Was more like staying at somebody's house than a hotel.
No free coffee.
I appreciated the proximity to my business activities. The staff at the Longwood was polite and helpful.
The absence of a restaurant or breakfast room. The Longwood allows for guest cooking, but, has no cook staff on site.
We stayed one night here and I will be back. For the price, you can't beat it. Free parking and the proximity to Fenway, Beacon street and the public transportation makes this place a hidden gem. The room and building was very clean and nice. The staff was quiet and friendly.
The bed was a little uncomfortable. That's it
Easy access to Traders Joe, a functional kitchen and restaurants within 5-10 minutes walk. The easy walk to train station is a plus.
Location is convenient, bed was soft but comfortable, room was clean.
No hair drier, no hair conditioner, floor in the bathroom was cold, tv was not working
nice neighborhood with easy access to train and campus downtown for some needs
one of the beds was quite soft and should probably be updated in room 38
Location, Convenience of parking, good restaurants in area, easy access to hospitals and universities.
No visible staff, musty smell, small room, not at all as advertised.
cozy rooms, tasteful decor, short walk to hospital
Staff doesn't get back to the inn until 9am
Location next to subway stop gets you downtown quickly. A quick walk to restaurants and shops on Beacon Street.
Parking was useful _ adequate.
Staff unfriendly, non communicative. Room although clean and well decorated was by no means a double, very cramped and uncomfortable for a three night stay. I really wish we'd stayed somewhere else.
We liked that there was a kitchen and sitting room for communal use. There were good restaurants up the road as well.
Room was like an apt.-excellent. Balcony looked out on a playground which was great. Young children enjoying activity. Loved the place.
Convenience to public transportation into Boston Small community atmosphere Access to full kitchen and outside seating Free parking
Very small room with no comfortable seating in room No microwave or refrig in room
Pleasant location in leafy suburb. Helpful member of staff who provided a walking stick for an injured member of our party.
Staff not always avalable and not always well informed about local amenities. Not being familiar with the American `inn concept`, the shared kitchen seemed very much in the British Youth Hostel style.
This is a beautiful old building on a lovely street. Restaurants are nearby. Our key was waiting for us when we arrived late. The facilities were good and it was nice to have a washing machine on site. Our room was comfortable and cute.
Our room was on the top floor. We had large suitcases and weren't warned of the lack of elevator so I didn't request a ground floor. The staff were fine but didn't go out of their way to be friendly or offer assistance.
The location was handy. It was close to public transport and easy walking distance to things. It was nice and clean with good facilities.
Probably a little bit expensive for what it was.
The location is great. It's in a lovely neighborhood and convenient to the T. The deck overlooks a park and is quite nice. The building itself is a beautifully kept Victorian (with rich wood and antiques) and is spotlessly clean.
The room I was in (23) was small and the bathroom very small. There was no full length mirror in the room. There was no iron or coffee pot in the room itself but there was coffee available in the kitchen and an iron in the downstairs laundry room. I don't need an elevator, but the lack of one might be a problem for some guests.
laid back atmosphere, very homey and welcoming
The A/C was very noisy and without it the room was very hot.
Real american house loved it!
Great location and character
The location and neighborhood Reception and Staff The kitchen and sitting areas were perfect for meeting other guests
