We weren't informed you couldn't wear shorts in bar area. Glad my husband had brought a pair of jeans plus his shorts are as nice as slacks.

Only issue, thin walls. You can hear the people next to you if they have there tv turned up. Noise doesn't bother me but it would have if that was my concern
The hotel history throughout was excellent. Room was clean and comfortable. Great roof top area to relax in and staff was very nice

Location. And parking

The bathroom could use a little work. The drop ceiling isn't appealing.
Upgraded us to a suite even though we paid for a 1 king.

That it was quite fare away from the most popular points to visit in LA.
Good breakfast, the room was great, Maybe just a little bit more detail in the cleaning part. For sure interesting to the persons that want to practice exercise on the vacation

indoor facilities of the hotel are simply great.

The hotel was in a very dirty and dangerous location. Very old hotel. Only one of four elevators was working, abd people had to wait very long each time. Poor breakfast. Nothing in the hotel was corresponding to its price.
The room was big. The bed was comfortable.

Everyone at the front desk remembers my name from a prior visit. Ernie, Oscar, Laura, Brian and Victor. Polite and always smiling.

The lift was crappy The breakfast was very scarce The room was dark
I liked the bed and the size of the room

Soundproofing could be improved. The room was quite dark, even with all of the lights on so may not be ideal if you require lots of light. On the flip side, it was perfect for sleeping.
Decor, comfortable bed, friendly staff, athletic complex. Fabulous breakfast!

Everything the club has to offer.
March 10, 2015
The noise level that comes from the street was not bearable. Someone was singing, traffic noise, and just noise. I think improving the windows or soundproofing them will make this a great place to stay.
The facilities were nice, the room was nice, and the bed was very comfortable.

Rooms are too dark for me. They need more lighting. The decor can be dark but it needs brightened up with efficient lights. TV connection was very bad
LOVED the breakfast brunch every morning. It was excellent, fresh, very upscale. Loved the work out facility and parking was very convenient.

I got the room on valentines day and my sink was overflowing with dark blue water (not normal color) and it leaked on the carpet & they kept me in the same room instead of giving me a different one, after a certain time they lock up the whole hotel because at 2 am after being at the bars I couldn't get into the hotel another guest was leaving and was able to let me in that way. the hotel from outside is very rundown. Does not look like the pics online.
The beds and pillows are AMAZING.The staff was nice and helpful. The room was very nice and clean.

I love the indoor big swimming pool, fitness and spa activities. As this is mainly a sports club, all you might need is around, including a basketball field. All the places brings you back to time and make you aware of the sportive glories. Very comfortable bed, great views from the 12th floor patio rooftop. You can sunbed up there among financial district banks skyscrapers. They have a very nice bar and restaurant as well. I also enjoyed the breakfast included in the room rate. The parking is 20$/ 24h but it's common in those places and is convenient connected with the hotel. I arrived around 19.30 pm and all went smooth. No crazy peopleon the streets, actually it was pretty much populated and lighted so no need to worry. The next day I enjoyed a 2 h tour around downtown highlights. For me was a great place to relax after a long round trip and also get me enough insights of downtown LA. I encourage people to try it for its history and facilities mainly.

--No Room Service. --No way to press a shirt between 7:00 PM and 6:00 PM the following day. Request for ironing board declined. (Baffling.) --Given wrong directions. --Drinks poor; colleague joined me for lunch at Inventions and his drink was, well, awful. So was mine the evening before.
--Friendly members and guests --Storied history on display

Not a nice neighborhood
For those who wish to use the gym, pool and related facilities this is a great place. Besides that everything is good, clean.
