La Quinta Inn & Suites Secaucus Meadowlands  

this hotel was at a perfect location if you want to go into NYC. A bus was available across the street for under $8 round trip which only took 8 minutes to arrive in NYC Port Authority. The Lincoln Tunnel was more than that. The hotel was in a quiet area and away from the hustle and bussle. They offered free shuttle service to a near by mall. Parking was breakfast were free. Breakfast consisted of a full meal with eggs ,meat ,waffles ,juices breads,cereals fruit and coffee. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was large with two double beds, large bathroom and a separate living area with a desk, pull out sofa,chair , tv and fridge. I would absolutely return.

Could use two garbage pails vs one.

The girl at the front desk was very nice and helpful.

The front desk staff was very helpful. The breakfast staff was very efficient, also the cleanliness of the area was very good.

The staff was friendly, the hotel was a little pricey however the rooms were nice and the complimentary breakfast was great.

Apparently my booking never made it to the hotel. I called to confirm at the hotel and there were no reservations for me and then I was informed the hotel was full. I called booking.com and they called the hotel and somehow fixed my reservations. I wanted to use the gym facilities which were not working and the heated pool was not too warm and kind of dirty.

Good location - 20-30 min bus ride to Manhattan. The fare is $8 for a return ticket on the bus. The hotel is a good one for a 3*. There is a lot of NJ tax free shops around, for people travelling from UK the prices on brands are nearly half of what you get in UK . Free wifi is very handy.

No bar or food in the hotel (except breakfast). No-grocery shops around within walking distance. They have a shuttle car, but it needs to be prearranged. Some elevator buttons don't work. A little run-down, but clean. $8 for a return ticket, so you would leave in the morning and go back in the evening. Not practcal if you want to return to hotel in the middle of the day.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, the food was very good at breakfast (and we liked the breakfast included), the bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

The tub faucet leaked pretty heavily, the ice machines were broken on 7 of 8 floors, the room was barely ready when we arrived to check in at 5:30 P.M. and the room phone did not work. Also tv was hard to use and crazy expensive ($15 to watch a movie!).

The location of the hotel is great. It's near the city and a bus stops right across the street. The free breakfast wasn't bad, either.

The beds are small. The bedroom only has full-size beds. Two adults are pretty crammed. And the pull-out is only a twin size. No cots are available. Although they advertise room for six in a suite, only three fit comfortably. While much of the hotel is in good shape, the dining area looks more abandoned than anything. The rug is pulled up, lights are broken, wires hang out of walls and tables have deep scratches.

It was close to new york. Also there was alot of retail stores arround so you could go shopping at a short walk.

The hotel needs alot of refreshing. Because the first night we stayed the room they gave us was a room for five and we where 2 adults and 4 kids so called the front desk and she had a cot sent up to the room and she said she would leave a note for the morning staff so we could change rooms the next day. Wich she did not do. The next morning I went to the front desk to explain the situation.They where not informed and the clerk started arguing with me that it was impossible that I did not have a double sofa sleeper in my room. Then he said ok we will transfer you to another room, just pack all your stuff so we can switch it to the other room when one will becomme available because we wher leaving for the day. When we got back no room transfer the new clerk once again was not informed she gave us a new room. Got in there had a double sofa sleeper. When it was time for bed pulled out the sofa sleeper and the mattress was riped and there was no more spring action left in this thing. The door to acces the fridge was falling off I screwed it back in to place.the micro wave is verry old. Then the pool to much chlorine and it was hot only for one night out of 6 so to sum it up. It is a well situated hotel but poorly furnished

La Quinta is the only Inn which accommodates 6 guests and the double suite was awesome, price was also in the reasonable range. loved the breakfast , didn't visit the pool though, i am sure it might have been good too, would love to come back.

Location brilliant. 20 min bus ride into centre of Manhatten and bus stop right outside hotel.

Great price, friendly staff and breakfast included. Great value. Place needed a little remodelling but was clean.
