just a tired old motel
quiet , next to storage yard , not a lot of food facilities in the area .
The Wi-Fi was good enough, but for some reason I couldn't get phone calls or texts on my 4S iPhone???
Price and friendly staff.
While it has a fitness room, it is so tiny that they have to place the tv at right angles to the exercise machines, requiring one to crank their head 90 degrees to watch it, plus the one and only treadmill out of order. Also, seemed pretty old fashioned, and not the cleanest. The location in amongst the freeway system was very poor. Wifi was connected but didn't work on either my phone or tablet.
Breakfast pretty good, fridge and microwave in room was nice, staff very nice.
The wifi was intermittent.
Nice room, was decent.
The rooms are big clean and comfortable. The rates are very reasonable and the staff is very nice and helpful.
I waited at the desk for almost 20 minutes before someone came to check me in. This was after ringing the bell four times. There was only 1 kleenex in the room, and even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room, there were cigarette burns on the bedspread. We will not stay at this motel again in the future - poor service.
The bed was large and comfortable.
The owners and staff were friendly and very kind. Plan to keep this place in mind when we are the area.
The beds were hard like concrete, could not sleep, my back has been hurting since and they could not adjust the sleep number beds.
Breakfast was nice.
This is an older, 1 story hotel where you park in front of your room. There had been some remodeling, but bathroom was pink tile with many holes filled with white grout. Bath was clean and room, except for several carpet stains. We needed a last minute 2nd room for football weekend and this was the only rate that was not exorbitant. OK but below my usual standards.
The hotel is easy to find. Pets are welcome for a reasonable fee. The breakfast was very good with nice variety-eggs, sausage, fried potatoe cubes, biscuits, waffles, sweet rolls, cereal, juices and coffee. Easy check in and out.
The pillows were awful.
The only thing we didn't like was the hard beds.
The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. I liked being able to drive right up to the room.
Could not get the wifi to work and when we called the front desk, they offered no assistance.
This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. The head general manager was friendly enough at check-in, but my fiance and I pretty much just dropped our stuff off and left. The bed looked made and the bathroom seemed clean, so we weren't too worried until we came back. When my fiance went to wash her face, she found that every single towel had stains. Next, we checked the bed and found that the sheets and pillow cases had holes and stains. In fact, one pillow case looked like it had a shoe-print on it. I went to the front office to get some new linens, and the "manager" produced 4 dirty towels before he was able to produce a clean one. He insisted that all of the towels had been washed, but they had stains. I was sure to record pictures and video, but unfortunately, I can't upload them here... The manager said he would meet me back at my room with a new set of sheets but only showed up with a flat sheet. I had him go get pillow cases and he returned with two, even though we four pillows. I felt like this was pretty poor service on his part, but I digress. My fiance and I slept on top of the fitted sheet and made do with the two clean pillow cases. During this time, I called booking.com's support staff, which was super helpful in getting me a little bit of compensation. The next day, I spoke to the General Manager and he gave me "clean" linens. Even those had stains, but since they were off to the side and there weren't any other options for accommodations, we accepted them. For the price I paid, per night, I expected at least clean linens. This motel couldn't even provide me that. On top of that, it was in a sketchy area and the carpet was so filthy that it left the bottom of mine and my fiance's socks black. I would never recommend this motel to a friend and I would probably think twice before recommending it to my worst enemy.
The continental breakfast was decent.
Out of way location from TTU. Guests were all in back building so honestly I thought the place was out of business when I drove up. Back building faces beat up fence - no telling what it was hiding. Rooms / fixtures / tv well worn and at least 30 years out of date. No vending unless you make the trek back to the front office.
Front desk was friendly. Bed was comfortable and fairly quiet.
Breakfast was not fully ready & we showed up an hour after breakfast began.
Staff turned on my AC before I arrived as I requested & immediately replaced my fridge & microwave due to being broken.
Deceptive billing, charging my debit card even though I paid with cash.
Single Story, relative cleanliness. Great Breakfast.....i'll stay here again simply because of the quality of the breakfast.
It could use a little upgrade in the bathrooms a little tacky.
The breakfast was really good.
A bit far from Texas Tech. (É um pouco longe do centro de Lubbock e do Texas Tech).
The recepcionists were extremely kind. (Os recepcionistas foram extremamente gentís)
Room was horrible, tv didn't work, bed was old and lumpy. It took 5 hours to get a tv that worked
Nice staff, the front desk was very patient and checked us in early
The air conditioning was off when we arrived so it took almost an hour to cool my room & kids were upset & sticky.
Breakfast was great, beds were very comfortable, shower was great & the pool was very nice. The staff even offered my kids foam tubes to play with & kept the breakfast stocked.
The towels were a little thin, upgrade and you could get another star. The breakfast closed down at 9:00 a.m.! We missed it by 10 minutes!
This was one of the last places to book when we took our daughter back to school. We were worried but got in our and were surprised. The room was very clean, on the older and a little worn side but very clean. The pool was in excellent condition and we took a swim. On our way home a week later we stayed at the La Quinta, it was not clean! and cost $20 more. So Americas best value was definitely the best place to stay.
I left a comment card with the management.
In spite of that I saw my son and his family. I left a comment card with the manager
This is an OLD hotel w/ all that it implies. They've done a lot to improvements but it's difficult. New linens needed. Staff was nice!
The owners are very kind & helpful.
