The smell of the carpet, the thin walls and I was staying in room 155 and that back door was so loud everytime people came in and out.
It was within walking distance of where I needed to be
All around a very good stay. Convenient to Texas Tech.
We were traveling without a reservation and ended up at the Baymont because it was available. We were very pleased with how clean and comfortable it was. Given the rate, our expectations were low, but this hotel takes pride in itself and it was like staying at a much more expensive place. The staff was lovely and did a great job.
The carpet in my room looked dirty and I kept my socks on because I didn't want to walk on it. Although it is a non-smoking hotel, I could smell smoke in my room. The smell may have come from the carpet. I just don't know.
I liked the convenience of being within a few blocks of the hospital where I was having tests run. Continental breakfast was satisfactory and staff were more than helpful.
This is 2 in a row for me.... not sure if it's under new mgmt or what.... but this place has fallen off since I first stayed here a year ago..... just dirty.... and after 6" of snow.... I was denied a late check out. Just needed to give the roads an extra couple of hrs to clear up.... I'll never stay here again ....
Not getting the room I reserved
Taolls to clean your face were duty
I didn't get the king bed that i had reserved and ended up with 2 queens.
At breakfast on second morning there was no milk, the gravy was cold, no bowls for oatmeal, coffee looked like weak tea. My confirmation was for $70 per night but noticed on my receipt that second night was $80.
Close to location for my appointment.
Didn't like that i had to put a $200 deposit and didn't get the room i originally reserved.
bathroom was dirty. shower water pressure wouldn't even wash off the soap. paid for a pool that you cant use, and they talk up the fact that theres a bar in the hotel..... it's open to the public.... the exterior doors dont work with cards to get back in..... overall, it wasnt worth the money, and that's saying something, seeing as how it's moderately priced..... $115-120 a night..... more like $ 75 would be tolerable for the condition of this place.
the size of the king suite was very liveable
Bathroom was dirty. Water pressure in the shower was terrible. Only one entrance to the hotel..... they say theres more, but there isn't. The side doors on the first floor didn't work.... had to have my key redone probably 10 times in the 4 days I was there. I'm assuming the price I was charged included the filthy pool I couldn't use... seeing as how it's 40 degrees.... and probably included the bar down stairs, that's not guests only.... it's open to the public.... don't mind paying for what I use, but not a fan of paying just to pay.
The size of the King suite was great!!! very comfortable
One of the elevators has not worked in years. The exterior doors are difficult or impossible to open. Room keys fail and have to be replaced frequently. The hotel and the rooms have an unpleasant odor.
The location is near the hospitals.
Very clean and all the staff are very nice
Breakfast could use some work. Biscuits cold and hard sausage gravy in crock pot no electricity, cold
rooms clean, bathrooms clean, facility clean
I really like staying here. It's comfortable and close to everything I like to do in Lubbock.
it was overpriced for the quality of the property. continental breakfast was included but did not even eat there the 2nd day. limited choices, would have liked skim milk, more low fat, less sugar options, better quality coffee. comfort of beds and pillows was poor.
it was clean staff was friendly location was close to Tech campus.
We were mostly disappointed in the pool. My son is an avid swimmer so we always look for a pool. The advertisement portrayed a beautiful 3-tiered pool. Although the pool was open it was evident it had not been cleaned in a long time with leaves, moss and other filth. Also, the hall to our room smelled musty and "curb appeal" was lacking.
Beds were super comfy and the room was clean. It appears to be an older hotel that is being updated.
Unclean carpet throughout facility
Only working elevator is a long way from parking and feels like it may be on it's last leg. Keyless entry on lots of outside doors do not work. Just seems to need more upkeep. The room did seem clean though.
Lounge/Bar inside hotel is a big plus!!!. Staff was nice. Room was comfortable. It's a good location for what we are doing.
Dirty everywhere and room smelled like mildew.
The check out guidelines. To charge a half day if you check out past 11. Asked for late check out and got an extra 30 min. Was ok, but a little much for an off peak weekend.
The Recovery Room, Good hotel.
Staff very friendly and helpful, room clean and the bed was very comfortable. Would stay here again!
Stains on hand towels in room, wasn't vacuumed, shower drained very slowly, property could have been cleaner
Location, pool, bar, spacious room, decent bed, fridge in room, hbo, 3rd floor was quiet, breakfast very average
