With the room price so low, we weren't expecting much. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel! Great, accommodating staff, good breakfast, and great room. Have already stayed a second time because of our great experience the first time.
Very comfortable and asthetically pleasing room. Alex the young lady at reception was fantastic!
Room was spacious, comfortable. Staff was friendly and welcoming. I'm going back in January.
Staff was very happy and helpful.
Lots of jumping and running by other guests on floor above.
The hotel was clean and the staff was very professional and friendly. I would suggest staying at this hotel to my friends. I surly will stay here in the future. We stayed on a TTU football weekend and the pre-game tailgate party in the lobby was reason enough to stay again.
They room had some stains on the floor and the complimentary breakfast was a little slow replenishing. None of this was problematic enough to nots yay here again.
When I arrives the gentleman that checked us in was very progressional, fast and friendly. As we left and returned throughout our trip he greeted us with our last name. I was very pleased with his friendly and professional demeanor.
Upon checking out. The young lady that checked us out was in the middle of a conversation with a co worker and took a minute to finish her conversation before helping us. I was a mother traveling by herself with a 8 month old baby holding the baby, a duffle bag, my purse, car seat and suite case it would of been a nice gesture had she been more prompt and offered some assistance or called someone who could of helped us out to our car. I was a little disappointed in her efforts to assist us.
Receipt of hotel confirmation was received on line but no reservation at the hotel proper. Warped floor to entry of room prevented proper locking, room cleaning done after 5:00 p.m. in addition to poor bed making. Premium charge for room not in accordance with service received.
The "happy hour"
We stayed here once before and swore we'd never come back, but it was all we could get for parents weekend that was halfway decent and available. Soooo glad we did because the changes made from the sfaff, cleanliness and overall experience was a complete 180 and truly enjoyed our stay. For those with our similar past experience, you should give it another try. It's a completely different Hotel. Well done!!
The hotel decor was surprisingly really pretty. The location was easily accessible and the best part of the stay was the staff! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I really didn't expect the impeccable service from this hotel. I have stayed at several Four Seasons hotels and the service wasn't near as exceptional as it was at this Hawthorne Suites.
Friendly staff Clean rooms Pet friendly
The rooms are large and clean. Beds are very comfortable. The location is convenient to the Covenant hospital. Staff is very nice and eager to please. Only place I have stayed recently where a maintenance issue was fixed in less than ten minutes!
Two lamps in the room were inoperable. One needed a lightbulb. This was fixed. The other was broken and might be dangerous. The hotel is getting frayed arpund the edges. If they don't start a maintenance program soon the place will begin having serious issues. For this reason, I think it's overpriced.
breakfast items were OK
...slow counter service toilets filthy under the rim air conditioner kept cycling every 5 minutes and motor was loud very little...interrupted sleep
Over good for price
Shower drain clogged and sink clogged Broken items in bathroom spider webs all over sofa bed dirty and uncomfortable
-The rooms were big with a nice suite set up. -light breakfast was included in the price of the stay -Staff was very friendly and accommodating
-We stayed in 235 above the main lobby. The sliding glass door shook the room and make a rumbling sound everytime the doors opened. Made sleep before 1am difficult. -A storm blew in and the windows were not sealed well and the wind hitting the window made a ghostly moan until the storm passed. -Wifi was very slow
Room was very large and comfortable. Bed was great and rest of room was very nice and clean.
Building maintenance needs some help. Bathroom wall at edge of tub was in need of repair (very ugly) One light bulb was burned out and TV remote needed new batteries. WIFI only worked part of time. Hall carpet had a very large stain.
Grate location to Tech.
Shower wall has water damage . noise at night
The rooms are huge, clean, and well decorated. Had comfy beds and was very quiet as we didn't hear any of the surrounding rooms or hallway. The bathroom was very spacious and had a nice tub shower combo. The rooms included a kitchenette with an eating table, toaster, microwave, coffee pot, sink, and lots of cabinet/counter space! The hot breakfast buffet was fair. Overall we enjoyed the stay and would stay again.
The outside of the hotel looks strange and we weren't really sure it was the hotel at first. It's not rundown or anything it just didn't look like a hotel. When we first tried to check in the girl at the front desk was kind of rude when she informed us that our room wasn't ready. When we came back later the guy checking us in was very nice. The wifi was horrible. The signal was poor and kept dropping every couple of minutes.
It was dirty
Everything in the room worked. It could be a nice hotel if it were properly maintained.
It was very dirty. Looked like the maids pick up the rooms but never clean. Floor and furniture are stained.
All of it!
Nothing everything was great
Convenient on fwy
Iron leaked, telephone didn't work, equipment in fitness room out of order or did not work properly very limited amount
Located near Texas Tech and places to eat easy to get to and from the University breakfast was great and they welcomed those attending conference warmly
