They were really nice, it has a lot of style.Location is good for the comicon a few blocks from distance, meeting peopleand roomate its fun, you will have a lot of fun is you stay there, intertnet speed was fast. People get intrested to help you.
Nice place to stay on comicon days
+ beds were super comfy +rooms were great sizes and 4 to a room is perfect +bathrooms were generally great, clean, good size + kitchen was great, lots of space, lots of fridge space +extremely good location
- Common Room as a nightclub, it's perfect during the day but at night your options are either going out with everyone or staying in your room. It'd be good if there was a room for people who didn't want to go out. - wifi was pretty bad the whole time I was there, dunno if our room was in a blind spot?
Great location downtown close to everything and anything. Reasonable rates. Feels just like a college dormitiry.
The wifi was horrible and breakfast could be better. Our rooms weren't clean but at least the beds were.
I stayed for the comic con so didn't use many facilities, but the important ones - decent breakfast, clean showers, great location within walking distance of the convention centre, were all in this hostel's favour. Very helpful staff, too
Lockers could be a bit larger - it was hard to fit everything in them. Ceiling fan was too loud
The accessibility to the convention center
The hostile staff and atmosphere was great! It was almost as cozy as being at home. The location was amazingly convenient.
The room was too hot and stuffy at night . To the point it made it hard to get any sleep.
Location was spot on considering we were just staying for one night and flying out very early the next morning and didn't want to pay big money for a hotel for a few hours as we checked out at 4:30am. It suited us for close proximity to restaurants, bars and airport. In general hostels aren't our thing so we weren't impressed. However we did stay in many hostels in Australia last year so have a lot to compare to. Internet also very quick.
The rooms are old and worn. They do not have air-conditioning and it became extremely stuffy day and night. The fan in the room is pointless as it is not fast at all and the speed it does spin at is a waste as it doesn't provide any relief from the heat. To be honest we stayed out most of the night as we weren't looking forward to sleeping there.
Everyone was very helpful and friendly.
Awesome people, awesome fellow travelers, super friendly and helpful staff. Planned on just one night here, then 2 at a normal hotel... but here was so great, I kept adding another night!
Parking, but its a big city, you'll find some somewhere!
Wifi and location excellent
-Room was really dirty -Fridge didn't work in our room
Very noisy and problems with out of control guests.
Excellent location, comfortable beds, lots of room, I love that there's daily activities and special events :)
Staff were more interested in talking to each other than helping me when I arrived...
very noisy from nearby club, cannot go to sleep until 2 am when club closes.
Filthy Only 2 showers for 40+ people per floor Wifi connection bad Extremely noisy Extremely hot in rooms as fan not working properly Lack of hygiene overall Bed linen not clean
Great atmosphere Ideal location Ideal for people traveling
noise, light, bed
Near center, breakfast is good...
Friendly and kind staff
I stayed in a single room, and it was not clean enough. I was afraid to touch anything except the bed.
Breakfast was good.
Rude staff. Very noisy at night as it is on top of a bar. Very dirty room, showers and toilets. The smell in the showers and toilets was incredibly disgusting. Really hard and expensive to park around. Needed to pay a fee for using my credit card to pay for the room! Not recommended at all!
Its OK They are putting their best to make peoples stay comfortable.
No elevator. A must for a 4 story property.
the location and the staff
there is no bathroom for private room
Great staff...welcoming and helpful, gave us lots of great info. Free breakfasts everyday, and free evening meals three times a week. The hostel was immaculate and clean and central to all sights in San Diego. The room we stayed in was lovely and bright. Will definitely return.
The visit was over too soon... xxx
