The spacious suite was fabulous as we had been travelling for 6 weeks and had lots of luggage - we weren't tripping over our bags all the time. It was very comfortable and the staff were helpful and friendly.

Large rooms, great location, beautiful grounds, nice pool (despite the short walk up hill).

Restaurant meal was average but plenty of options elsewhere

Spaciousness of rooms, pool, convenience to 405 freeway.

Hotel is by itself in a largely residential neighborhood. There are no restaurants, other services near. I was told it works very well if visiting UCLA.

The staff took care of issues right away. They comped breakfast due to an incorrect booking

We arrived late and the room they gave us was a handicapped room. We didn't realize this until we returned back around midnight. Although the beds were good and comfortable, all the hooks including the closet was very low so we couldn't hang things up. So many bars in the bathroom made it awkward. Since it was past midnight and we were only staying one night we didn't say anything until morning. They did comp us breakfast which was delicious. Also wi-fi was sporadic and annoying.

Enjoyed the efficiency and hospitality of the staff, the delicious food, and the feeling of being away from it all, surrounded by lush greenery!

Toilet got stopped up 3 times, had to call for service; had to call several times before mini bar was emptied (we were staying 5 days and needed space in fridge); had to beg for enough K-cups for the 3 of us; was charged $30 for rollaway bed which we did not have (but they took off bill when I brought this to their attention).

Super poolarea, very nice food offered from room service, a bit disappointed at the restaurant (the tuna), but the very nice waiter managed to get me a special wine that wasn't on the list. Cold water bottles for the road. Loved the rooms. Spacy, and we had a balcony overlooking the pool and the Getty Center in the horizon!

Must go by car to get to other restaurants etc, but I guess that's LA for you..

Staff at front-desk are friendly and helpful. Recommended a very good doctor in the area for my son who needed consultation on the second last day of our trip. Concierge service is excellent.

Service not very responsive when we reported a leak in the toilet in our room. We informed the front desk before lunch time but the problem still not fixed when we came back from dinner. Finnally they had someone to look at the problem properly and we were told that we needed to change to another room as the problem couldn't be fixed easily.

I host events at the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel. When my speakers come in from out of town, I put them up at the Luxe. They love it! When possible we meet for dinner at the restaurant. It is a treat every time.

    Big rooms

Incredibly noisy rooms located right next to one of LAs busiest freeways. Expect car horns to wake you up. Oh, and the hotel has a shady "valet-only" parking system - so you're stuck paying $30 to park, with no alternatives available.

I love the boutique feel and calm atmosphere of this hotel. The restaurant is outstanding, Dave at the bar could not be more friendly, the location is phenomenal. Right on the corner of the 405 and Sunset, you would never know you are that close to the freeway with the park like, spa feel of this hotel.

My only complaint here is that the beds are getting a bit flabby, I have encountered a few with body indents. And the baths in the rooms that aren't suites are oddly laid out, which the toilet smashed right up against the tub. Both very minor complaints compared to the fantastic service and serene atmosphere of this hotel.

Super nice bartender who always remembers our names, tasty breakfast and dinner, decent wines by the glass, fried olives!, friendly desk staff who always hold our packages for us and bring them to our rooms. I like that the hotel is small and comfortable. The bar/lounge area is cozy and convenient, the outdoor dining area is quite pleasant. It is easy to get on wifi, Keurig machine in room, comfortable bed. Appreciated the nuts and dried fruit. Valet brings the car quickly.

Mosquitoes in room, spider in room, fruit flies in room, workmen walking across my 1st floor patio while I was in room with curtains open (more than once!). Door jamb was loose, causing door to stick. Thin walls and I could hear snoring from room next door. Every time someone upstairs would use bathroom it sounded like a waterfall in my room waking me up all night. The problem with this review is that none of the options for "Why were you traveling" applies to me. I was traveling with a group of colleagues, which is not an option.
