We've stayed there before. It had an excellent buffet, and extensive swimming pools, good casino. It has gone downhill - perhaps all Vegas hotels are hit by the recession. The buffet has watered-down orange juice, they don't have waitresses to bring orange juice and coffee, some of the swimming pools are closed (in mid August??) or fenced off so you can only use them if you pay extra - not many people seemed to do so! There are no longer cocktail waitresses patrolling the pool, and you can't get iced coffee - little things, but they used to make it a real pleasure.

I had not been to the Luxor in 10 yrs and the changes were obvious. I was disappointed in how dirty and unfriendly the staff was compared to when I had been there yrs before. Our family will not be returning to the once had been incredible experience of a hotel, now is just a disappointment.

I enjoyed the pool area and the design of the building as well as the room size. I also liked the fact that it was close to many hotels as well as the strip. I still would recommend this hotel but still mentioning the cons. Was not too family friendly so I probably would not take my kids there. The hallways and rooms were not well lit. Also, the wall paper was scratched and ripped and there was graffiti on the walls. Needs to be updated and given a fresher look inside, Did not have coffee pot or mini frig. In room either and that should be a standard for the amount I paid.

The swimming pool was excellent and the expeditions and club in the hotel. The buffet and the restaurants at the hotel were poor. Rooms didnt quite match the photographs they had, we upgraded our room on arrival however friends that were staying in the hotel with us did not and they had originally booked a more luxury room than ours. There room was extremely poor, if we had not upgraded I can imagine our room would have been poor.

We like its location on the Strip and the size of the room. The entertainment at the hotel was also good and so was the swimming pool. The hotel lacked some basic everyday essentials like hangers and toiletries. Although we had a non-smoking room, the room did smell of smoke and the smoke from the casino was noticeable in the room which wasn't great.

LAX is a pretty cool club - David Guetta was playing one night and we were able to see him. Also, it was the least expensive on the strip in Vegas. The restaurant choice is horrible. The food court is terrible, and the Pyramid Cafe is overpriced and not good at all. If you're going for good meals, head out of the Luxor.

A very good price for one night in Las Vegas before we moved to our pre- booked hotel. Checking in was a nightmare - worse than an airport with about 40 people in the queue in front of us. Then reception could not find our booking so I had to go and login at an expensive internet boot in order to call up our booking. Room was bare and dark and the roof/window started leaking when it started raining.

We were at a business meeting located right next to the Luxor. We had the choice of 3 different value hotels High medium and lower priced. All 3 were affiliated and wonderful places to stay. I went online before booking and was concerned about some negative reviews and I can say none were true. The staff was great the room beautiful and comfortable the amenities were great and I was in the medium value room at the Luxor. It was beautiful and relaxing. It is a very lsrge estblishment but once you learn your way around it is easy to maneuver. Wouldnt want to be handicapped here based only on sheer size. Food was mid range prices, would like some nice slighly less expensive choices. Buffet was nice but in the same price range as all the rest. Used to be food was on the less expensive side in Vegas...no more. The thing I disliked most was the "Resort Fee", Brings the room price up considerably..seems like a ripoff to me but better than half the hotels do it.
