VERY NICE HOTEL

Outside was charming. Rooms were spacious and clean. Man that works the checkout desk was pleasant.

Though the room appeared to be clean it smelled of mildew. The water pipes are very loud and made noise through out the night and early morning. The two ladies that worked the front desk didn't greet us. one seemed nervous and the other seemed like we were bothering her and she looked as if she just woke up, hair disheveled and in a sweat suit.

Room good, breakfast ok.

Too many smokers around, specifically sitting outside our unit smoking most all of the time.

The room was big.

The room was the last one near the road and near the garbage location, so we heard all night some rats or whatever in the garbage... Not a good sleep. Price was announced 44,99 dollars on the internet and we paid 60 dollars, the difference seems big to only be the taxes..., With no detailed receipt, even after asking.

The room was clean with all the facilties you need.

Close to Cannery Row Parking

Asked for a room location that would be somewhat quiet, was put in a room next to the street and a storage room which the door was opened and slammed for a long period of time in the early morning. The bed was quite hard and the pillows very worn. The TV was very small, hard to view. The sink was next to the bed not in the bathroom which was strange.

My wife left an expensive coat in the room. The staff returned the coat by ups in a timely manner. This was a great relief to my wife. Much thanks.

I liked the service and how clean the rooms were we asked for extra pillows and they accomidated us and we loved the price well before the city fee and high taxes that was charged

The room next door had a door that made allot of noise and they would go in and out of the room to smoke like every 15 min it became bothersom from 1am to 6 am . Also the city fee and the taxes together made the value a bit high and that is something that is kinda put on you without you knowing why the city charges a fee to stay in their city.

It was an awesome experience. The location is amazing and the staff is so much friendly and cooperative. We love it and we will stay in Surf Inn each time we visit Monterey.

Rooms are very small, only coffee n toast for the breakfast pool is real old parking is real small

The bed was wonderful and the place was quiet.

In the brochure it said that there was in room coffee makers, there was not. In the brochure it said that the pool was year-around heated, it was not and was closed. The lobby coffee and breakfast is served only from 7 to 9 am. They whisked the coffee pot away at 9:01 am. If they're not going to put coffee pots in the room they need to make it available in the morning hours later than 9 am!!!!

The staff is very friendly and cooperative. Also, the location is great, close to everything; we were able to reach the Del Monty mall and the city center by walking. Rooms’ layout and decoration is stylish and comfortable. We are three, couple and a young child and one room was fair enough to accommodate us. I like it, and will stay in Surf inn whenever we visit Monterey again.

We were very disappointed in the cleanliness of the room it had a very bad Oder and we actually slept with our clothes on because we were fearful of bed bugs. My daughter wore her flip flops in the shower because of how dirty it was and the shower head was rusty. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We were also disappointed in the $10 booking fee we chose to book online in order to save money and were suprised with that extra fee

easy access in and out. the bed was very comfortable.

wall in the bathroom needed repair. wash clothes needed to be placed in the bathroom as well as the sink area. room numbers needed to stenciled on the parking area to reserve for room occupant.

the room was dark, and a bit on the small side, less than that it was a nice stay.

Loved the room. It was just perfect for a little weekend getaway. We have a 5 month old, and it was big enough to set up a pack and play for her to sleep in.

Front desk people were great. Unfortunately, we had to use them a lot for wifi issues, but they were always kind.

Wifi, which was important for us was constantly going down. TV choices very poor.
