Score from 31 reviews Very good
The bath tub was awful. Broken and corroded. Couldn't bath because the drain was literally in the tub. The hotel itself is very old and in need of major upgrades. There were ants in our room but upon check out the manager did explain the ongoing problem and the pest control they use daily and monthly. We were offered a discount for all of our inconveniences.
everyting was good
When we arrived you guys had a customer not happy he was yelling it was kinda of scary
That it was clean
The ice machine's were located on the first and fourth floor.
Not enough pillows, no iron, bathroom had black stains under soap dish.
Far from Chicago,
It is clean and modern. It is worth your money if you are looking for a place near Chicago. If you stopped here check the food at Johnel's Restaurant.
I like everything about it no complaints at all
The Breakfast Sausage was Nasty. Don't eat it. They should Replace it with some better Quality type like Bob Evans or Smoky Links.
The Pool & 24 hour exercise room
There was a social event at the facility. Our room was on first floor. People from the event were making a lot of noise in the hallway well past midnight. Made it impossible to sleep. Think hotel staff needs to do a better job enforcing quiet hours.
Hot breakfast was excellent.
THE TOILET GOT BACKED UP
EVERYTING BUT THE TOILET
pool wasn't available and closed at 10 pm, we didn't check in until 10 pm and wanted to utilize the pool but were not informed it was under repair that evening!
everything else was awesome!!
It was a nice place at a good price. Better by far than where we have stayed on other trips. We enjoyed our stay there. Nice inside pool, but I didn't get to use it , no time.
The bed was hard and our room door stuck a bit so took several tries to open.
I loved the pillows and bed linens and the staff was nice and the breakfast was decent. The place needed some work, but there were workers working on the outside as we left the next morning. It was much nicer inside than outside. The inside was very pretty.
Breakfast was reasonable, and kept tidy.
I requested a non smoking room which I got but it was above a smoking room. Throughout the stay you can smell everything they were smoking in my room ... pool had to much chlorine ..had red marks on skin from it I told staff about it all and they rolled their eyes and didn't seem to care ...
Beds were comfortable very clean facility continental Breakfast was fresh and good
Only thing I didn't like about my stay was the oddly sensitive smoke detector. After my morning shower, the thing went off a good three seperate times within a ten minute span, which was very loud and annoying to have to wave a towel at it for 30 secionds to get it to stop.
If you need a hotel on a budget, this is a good pick. Very friendly staff, good continental breakfast, room was clean and well facilitated.
Since I don't have kids, this doesn't really apply to me, but they don't have video gaming. My only caveat would be that it is located near RR tracks. I grew up in Hammond and really they are often enough that I stopped hearing them but a light sleeper might find them annoying. That being said, the rooms are pretty well insulated and I wasn't hearing things from the next room or the hall (the hotel across the street has walls made of paper).
Good location for anyone there for the casino or to get to Chicago without having to stay downtown. Very comfortable and clean. I can't rate the WI-FI because I didn't use it, but having it available for free is absolutely a plus. Certainly the least expensive room I have paid for in the area.
Hotel staff was helpful, and the bed was very comfortable!
I didn't like the host she said I couldn't get the room because there was nothing available and turned me away I was very upset because I just came back from Ohio and was very tired..
It was dirty. The hot tub so so small i could barely fit in it alone.
Staff, all of them! Always speak. & always smiling
The beds were hard as rock I could literally feel the springs , and the towels were so cheap and little nothing like the hotel collection I'm used too, the hotel could use a little renovation add well as far as new carpet and new paint ....
Location was not good. Looked at the room and demanded our money back. Very outdated and not clean. Had a jacuzzi room and there was hair in it along with missing tiles. Doesn't look like the grout had been cleaned in 10 years.
Continental breakfast was lacking assortment of fruit. Just personal opinion.
Friendliness of staff a big plus
