The bed was uncomfortable and needed replaced. Some mornings we didn't have hot water.

Took 2 days to get "B" connect card working. Weekend breakfast expensive & no other place.
Resonable room rate
April 27, 2015
Room faced the freeway and was noisy in the morning.
Got a free upgrade to a Jacuzzi King room. Just off the Freemont St. Experience
April 27, 2015
It was all in one
April 21, 2015
The room I was in had noise from not just intense winds, but the highway right outside the window and the train! It was crazy loud.
Location, pricing, parking, the bed.
April 20, 2015
Not the best views at night if you like to marvel and look at the various buildings at night through your hotel window.
Great location. Close to Freemont Street. Easy cab ride to the strip, and or free parking with stay. Old West design with a superior buffet.

It is true that this hotel is adjacent to a main rail line the runs through dpwntown Las Vegas; this has been mentioned as negative point by other posters. The casino card has really no worth to it other than discount at the gift shop store. I am a penny slot machine gambler with a balance of $0.16. What can I say. The wifi is charged at $9.99 per 24 hours which I never used because of the extra cost. In todays world wifi is a necessity not a luxury; this hotel needs to make wifi free in all areas or greatly reduce this cost. Train noise is very bad; lower room rates need to reflect this situation. Strange people hang around the smoking and taxi area as this hotel is close to Freemont Street the Zoo of Humanity of Las Vegas.
Nice enough rooms. Well laid out room. Bathtub. The casino and hotel has many antiques and furniture from a bygone era; incredible actually! Lower room rate might promote longer stays. The street bridge to the California Hotel and its late night well priced food.

With the proximity to the freeway and the decision to put louvered shutters instead of drapes, was very hard to sleep.
Room was nice and clean, great proximity to the Fremont St Experience. Bed was large and comfortable.

We specified a non smoking room, but could smell stale smoke. Our room over looked the freeway & the traffic noise was terrible, which led to a sleepless night!
The triple 7 restaurant was good with lots of choice & good atmosphere. The room was spacious.

good location if you want to visit fremont street. great buffet...good money's worth
April 5, 2015
Paying for WiFi is annoying. We got around that by using our own abilities, but would have been easier if it was just free...
Buffett was really good. Show your player's card and take a buck off the price. Manny at the omelet station was great! Loved the old fashioned décor.

Too close to highway. Very noisy. Couldnt sleep!

Right on the Railroad Tracks! Trains didnt stop coming by until after midnight. Also right next to the freeway and was very noisy all night long. Never again!
March 21, 2015
Noisy as it is very close to the freeway and railway line No free wifi in hotel but it is free in Fremont Experience
Rooms were large and clean, beds very comfortable Food good value and good quality Location good for downtown and easy access to the strip Hotel is themed ina Victorian style

It is definitely too far if you plan on being at the strip everyday. Cab fair is about 25-30 bucks to the belagio/ceasars area each way, plus tip. Freemont is a little dirtier than the strip but much cheaper gambling. Think frat house (freemont) vs business party that got out of control (the strip).
This place was dirt cheap, well kept compared to other places I've stayed in in vegas (flamingo, harrah's, Belagio (not worth the money)). If you are planning in staying in downtown to do the freemont stuff stay here. Great buffet and restaurant right in the hotel/casino itself. Buffet is like 15-20 bucks but worth it.

Clean, VERY friendly & accommodating, and you just can't beat the cost. The buffet, I believe, is the best in town. The "omelette" chef is hilariously engaging.

Pulled out hair and gunk from shower drain and left it for housekeeping to see. Went down stairs to tell front desk and they change the shower head. Could not shower had to go to the room we also had next door. At check out told the lady and it's like she didn't even care.
February 26, 2015
Smoke..everything smells smokey..staff charged my credit card for breakfast before confirming it with me..
It was close to Fremont st/wood work in hotel
February 15, 2015
some dirt or something on the wall of the bathroom
February 13, 2015
Noisy, train tracks and the freeway was right behind the hotel. Our room faced the freeway, so it was loud.
Rooms were very reasonable and clean. The staff was nice also.
February 12, 2015
Historic atmosphere and free breakfast buffet
