Noise: easily heard from the courtyard into our room
Service was outstanding!
Too far from river. Food in resturant needs improvement.
The location was great. Only a short walk to Bourbon St.
I have never had to pay a fee to park my car at a hotel I was actually staying at. I was not told of a fee until I checked in.
Lack of king size bed, and no working safe.
small felt dirty. Restaurant was a joke. Very expensive. The full plates were small appetizer anywhere else
Cleanliness and location perfect. Beautiful looking hotel, nice bedrooms.
Surly and dismissive staff (not the cleaners they were fine) Check in staff and parking staff very off hand, with no conversation. Bathroom far too small.
Great location. Beautiful courtyard. Great ambiance for hotel.
Need a bottle of water in room at night per quest. Otherwise, would highly recommend Masion Dupuy.
The location was terrific and the front desk staff and managers were friendly and helpful.
We really wanted to love this hotel, but sadly could not. We are not high maintenance people, but there there were just so many problems with our room: broken closet door, toilet seat and dresser drawers; mildew on walls and around fixtures; room not cleaned some days; items not replenished (coffee, tissues, towels); water dripping down walls; hairdryer overheated, replacement was broken, and took a full day to get another; the door was repaired but workmen didn't clean up mess they left behind, nor did the maid service vacuum it up, which makes me think they didn't vacuum at all -- also found lipstick on the bathroom door frame which was not mine. When brought to the attention of the manager, she immediately started to address the issues, but it does not appear the staff followed up -- we received some compensation for the condition of our room, but in good conscience we felt we needed to provide an honest review. We were looking for an authentic NOLA experience and chose Maison Dupuy over Royal Sonesta. This is by no means an inexpensive place to stay. Although not expecting, nor wanting a modern experience, the rooms are less quaint than they are just dated and the guest room service was virtually non-existent.
The location was excellent, lovely pool & courtyard. Very clean & room was quite spacious, we had plenty of space to move around.
The staff at reception could have been more friendly, our room card was problematic on a few occasions and when we went to get it corrected, we almost felt we were being a nuisence, there was no conversation from the staff. On our first morning there we enquired from reception which direction would be best to start exploring the french quarter and were simply handed a map with a pen mark as to the location of the hotel. The guys in the courtyard were very friendly, pity the same did not apply to front of house staff as the hotel itself is very lovely.
The courtyard, lobby areas, and bistro were very nice.
Frankly, after almost $400/night, I've had nicer rooms at the Motel 6 in my college days. NOT exaggerating. Complained that the tub didn't drain, they never fixed it. Took showers in standing 6 inches of water. Tub was dirty --- how can they clean a tub that won't drain? I paid $20 nightly for a king "delux" only to find that this means I had a window??? No balcony, small room, completely outdated. Politely complained, host was rude. I've stayed in several hotels in the quarter, this is the only one I WILL NEVER stay in again, even if i have to stay at the Motel 6. At least it would be cheaper. VERY nice on the outside and common areas. Rooms are well below what you would expect for the Quarter in general, and what I paid in particular.
I hate when hotels don't use fitted sheets on their beds!!! Does it cost that much for fitted sheets!!
I loved the location of this hotel and the ambience was great too.
Reception staff was not all that helpful. One girl was super. My kids tried several times to ring me and each time the hotel didn't answer about 5 minutes. This is absurd. Also, I called for a hair dryer and it was never sent one, finally the maid brought me one after I went to find her. My friend fell in front of the hotel during the afternoon, and when we went in to the front desk there was no first aid kit-but we could buy band aids at the shop. Which was the normal responds when we asked for anything from them. Not the service we accepted from this quality hotel. I actually had better service staying at the sleep inn at the airport.
Too far off of bourbon st
Proximity to French Quarter..Valet Service..Bedding..wi-fi connection was fantastic..
Some employees seemed indifferent..and grumpy..free coffee in lobby was always gone before 9:30am! Courtyard was off limits to guests often for private parties
squeaky bed springs, barking dog next door, outlets did not work in room, wait staff and bartender rude in restaurant, food delivered to table was cold - all around a bad experience
All staff were great, but the restaurant staff was very friendly and delightful. MD was an oasis in a hot and busy town. We were able to rest and recharge and be off again. Location was just right for us. I would like to be there again soon.
Location, staff, Court yard and pool area.
No microwave and had to request a frig.
The value received for the money spent wasn't good. There were items left in the room from the previous guest. Out television went out the first night. I probably won't come back and I've stayed here about 5-6 times. I spent time while there looking for a new place to stay next time when visit. Not satisfied at all. Neither the front desk nor the bar could give me change for a hundred dollar bill. The margaritas were weak.
The location was great. Just steps away from the section in either direction: bourbon, Frenchmen street, street car to other places. But still on a quiet street. You won't here the most from the fun outside. The staff was friendly. Rooms were clean. The courtyard is beautiful. I could have picked a better place for the money.
The front desk staff were very rude, we didn't get the room we requested, the rooms were very small, bathroom was not clean, towels had hair on them, no blow dryer in room, no remote for TV in room, windows sealed shut and view was a brick wall, a.c. Was either freezing cold or stuffy hot, shower head was old; just trickled out, smoke detector went off every time anyone showered, do NOT get there early as you WILL have to wait (our case, in the sun for 50 minutes, no room inside because all the guests were waiting), very very expensive restaurant and $35.00 parking. Would Not Recommend To Worse Enemy! Did not even get an apology and they knew our problems!!
Close to Burbon St.
Didn't get the room I reserved
Like the location and the staff were wonderful. Breakfast was great.
The bedrooms and the hotel is old and needs refurbishing and quickly. The room I was supposed to get was a Lux King. I walked into a shoe cupboard and had to ask for a change. My windows did not open. Dinner menu was limited. It rained and most hotels these days have umbrellas, but not Maison Dupuy. Sadly I would not go back nor would I recommend, pity especially such a nice location with it's inner courtyard and great staff. Shame that it's management does not see the value in investing a little to bring it up to modern day standards.
Excellent service, nice rooms, free wi-fi, and we were able to check in several hours before check-in.
As soon as we pulled up they were very helpful, we didn't have to wait for anything. The staff was very Nice. They have a very nice pool and patio area. The location of the hotel is in a nice area where you can walk to everything and not hear the noise at night! I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to New Orleans!
The only thing that I didn't like was the bathroom was kind of small.
