LOCATION, right on the boardwalk. The rocking chairs gave the hotel a feeling of relaxation. Close to everything. The kite loft is almost next door and the view of the kites on the beach is wonderful.
The hotel lobby smelled like it had been on fire at some time. I couldn't smell it at my room though.
Location and the deck area with the rocking chairs.
The bed was uncomfortable for my wife; but I could make due with it.
The location right on the boardwalk was great
Smelled like Older property but location made up for a lot LOL
Musky smell, small uncomfortable beds
Great courteous staff. On the Boardwalk easy to get to restuarants and stores.
Bed was a but old and slipped off the frame a couple of times just sitting doen on it. Okay after being adjusted.
Direkt am Boardwalk gelegen.
Altes, lautes Hotel
We liked the location and the general feel of the hotel. The lobby is very inviting and so were the staff (for the most part). The rocking chairs on the front deck were really nice to relaxing and gave you a great elevated view of the beach. The hotel is on 7th street and right on the boardwalk which is great, it's within walking distance of the pier.
Their water system and heating is awful. The shower would swing from freezing cold to lava hot within a few minutes. It was very uncomfortable and considering what we were paying I was not thrilled, at all. The front desk didn't seem too concerned about it either when I brought it to their attention. The general message I got from the front desk was "Oh well buddy, we're closing for the season so there's not a whole lot we can really do about it." I got the same response when I told them that the air conditioner was broken in the room. There is no ventilation, save for the windows in the room so whenever you take on of those lava hot showers your room basically turns into a sauna. And oh by the way, the bathroom door doesn't lock. We didn't let it bother us too much but in retrospect I wish we'd stayed somewhere else.
The view and rockers on the porch.
The sofa sleeper was dirty and sunk in the center. It was suppose to sleep two people but we couldn't use it. The hotel smelled musty and needs remodeling. Very outdated. The showers were cold too.
Location and ocean view. Like the rockers on the boardwalk.
Tiles on bathroom floor missing and a hole in the floor by the bath tub.
The location is right on the boardwalk
upon entering the hotels main lobby the male staff behind the desk stared at me until i said hello. The female staff then turned around and looked at me confused, I also had to say hello to her, as she continued to stare at be blankly i stated I was there to check in. The toilet continuously ran and the staff told us it just does that. The room was outdated and dirty enough I decided to check for bed bugs. Luckily I didn't see any. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. The hotel has apartments and hotel rooms but only a lot that can fit about 25 cars..... Which means good luck finding street parking
Its hard to beat sitting on the large front porch overlooking the boardwalk - beach and ocean - location location location
Location in the heart of downtown allows for easy walking access to all boardwalk points of interest. Front porch and deck overlooking the boardwalk and beach were definitely a plus. All personnel were extremely friendly and helpful.
Older hotel, but kept up well. Parking lot is very tight, but workable.
Location of hotel on boardwalk. Rocking chairs on front porch.
Sink was clogged in bathroom. It was cleared shortly after reporting it. Hotel is old so rooms can be small and somewhat outdated.
I love the old hotel, with its big living room and front porch with rocking chairs. I love the easy going front desk. I love the rooms, had a fabulous view of the Ocean! I love the location, close to the inlet and fun things to do, and people watching! I love the private parking and easy access to the rooms! Fabulous! It is like going back in time to a gentler pace, ahhhhhhhh.....
Nothing, there was nothing to dislike. I love the Majestic and everything about it!
ROOM WAS WELL OVERPRICED
This hotel has a great location and I loved the porch on the boardwalk. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept very well for the 2 nights we were there which is actually uncommon for us.
Overall the cleanliness of the place wasn't that great - it wasn't disgusting, but it definitely wasn't how I've seen other hotels kept. The free parking lot is small for the number of rooms they have; on our first night after going out we came back to a full parking lot and had to pay-park across the street.
location and rocking chairs on front porch
no parking at site
Location Friendly staff Perfect view (if you get an oceanfront room)
Overall for an old hotel, it was ok. Needs an upgrade.
Smelled old, dated. Needs to be gutted and remodeled.
Loved the atmosphere. The hotel was clean & very well maintained, the staff was friendly & the location was perfect. I have stayed at quite a few OC hotels & this is one of my absolute favorites. Love the front porch & Rocking chairs too
I loved it all! But would not recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't appreciate the "vintage" aspect of staying in an older hotel.
being right on the boardwalk
room was to small
-Dead bugs in room -Mold in bathroom. -Old worn mattress -Sink wouldn't drain and water dripping.
Bathroom had mold in ceiling tiles and tub was a mess
