Staff was exellent. Hotel was in a very good location.

Flat sheet on bed was was torn because it was silk and had been laundered too many times. A beetle was found crawling on the bed.

We liked the location of the hotel. It was walking distance from the Smithsonian museums. We loved the bed linen and the general cleanliness of the hotel.

The fact that each level had 76 rooms which were being served by only one elevator lobby. We were in room 401, which was quite a trek from the elevator lobby. The wifi reception in the room is pretty poor. The concierge staff were very misinformed and had a horrible attitude. This for a MO and more so we were Taipan guests is unacceptable. On the first day they made us waste our eve by saying there was no night tour, even after specifically checking with them. They said night tours depart at 5.30, whereas in actuality the last one departs at 7.30. When I asked if there was any shopping to do, they bluntly said NO, and stared at us... Perhaps our ethnicity influenced them in their responses. We are of Indian origin and are Singaporeans!

    Courteous Staff

    1) Small Suite for the money with Two grandparents and their granddaughter they could have provided a suite with a pull out couch. Had to have a separate bed brought in and there was no place to put it. 2) Had their $32 adult $16 child barbecue on July 4th and we could not eat the food because the hamburgers were raw (not rare but raw) Hot dogs were cheap quality and there were no condiments for the dogs (no relish, sauerkraut etc.) We had no dessert and the three salads they offered were substandard.
