Location and breakfast menu and services Hotel staff was not very good. Specially receptionist during night stay booked private cab for me instead of telling yello cabs for airport drop. Private cabbie was charging me almost double the amount than yellow cabs. I never expected hotel staff to fool their guest. Thanks to yellow cab driver who helped me out of this mess and saved potential loot of my money and luggage. Room size was very small for King size description. I ended up being cramped in 10x10 bedroom with all furniture around double bed making it too congested.

Even though this hotel was recommended by my office, I was very surprised with the lack of flexibility and the poor service. I announced seven days in advance that I would have to leave one night earlier, which they refused to take into consideration. The room was not clean, the sheets were not changed once in 6 days, the bath was dirty. We will not recommend this hotel anymore.

It was quiet, clean and convenient. Upon arrival they could not find my booking, but the desk attendant was accommodating and did all she could to make my check in go as smoothly as possible. The room was extremely tiny fitting only a slim walk way encircling the bed from window, to tv, to bathroom making it impossible for more then one person to navigate the room at one time lest one was opening the window and the other entering the bathroom. But on the bright side the room was clean, aesthetically pleasing and bed bug free...I Hope*

Staff were very friendly and welcoming in particular in the attached restaurant. The food was also very good. View of the financial district from the room was amazing Drinks were very expensive we were grate\ful for the happy hour!! Lift service was appalling often waited 10-20 minutes for the lift and using the stairs when you are on the 23rd floor is not an option.

The room was small but clean and comfortable. We paid for a City View room, which puts you in the top 8 floors of 25. It cost a little more, but it was worth it. We were given the 24th floor, and the view of the Downtown Manhattan skyline was great, especially at night. We could not see the Empire State Building from where we were - for that I guess you need to be on the other side of the hotel, facing Uptown. The central Midtown location is perfect for getting around Manhattan, particularly on foot. On the whole, we were very happy with the hotel, and feel that we saved money by avoiding the swankier hotels, without sacrificing our overall comfort.

It was handy to the Metro, bus routes and within walking distance of the sights of New York. The room and beds were comfortable, although 2 queen sized beds in that room made it a bit cramped for space. The air conditioning unit was right up against one of the beds and noisy, making it hard to sleep if running it overnight. The windows had no sound proofing and the street outside was very busy and noisy all night long. Getting a good night's sleep was difficult.

This up-to-date boutique hotel is perfect for travelers looking for a comfortable and safe environment convenient to buses and subways where all that this great city has to offer is within easy reach. The hotel staff is very accommodating, the rooms are clean and well equipped and the cost for a hotel room in Manhattan was an unexpected happy surprise for me. I've stayed there twice and will definitely return there on my next visit.

This hotel was in the perfect location for what we were doing in the city. The staff was extremely courteous and friendly, and I have to admit it was the first hotel we stayed in that the front desk called to ask how we liked our room and if there was anything they could do for us. We really liked this hotel. Awkward getting into the bathroom. Had to be careful not to hit your feet with the door.

Staff were very polite, friendly and accomodating. The lifts should be divided between the floors so as to enable those on the upper levels to get their faster. Eg one lift could be designated for floors 1-12, another lift for florrs 12-24.

I didn't like the fact that I was a giving a hard time when I had checked in at 3 am on July 3,2011. I had called 6 hour before I came to the hotel to ask will it be ok if I came in at that time. And I was told yes. But when I got to the hotel it was a different story. I was at a point that i was going to go stay a another hotel. The man who was working that night was very very disrespectful. He even asked me if I had enough funding on my debt card to pay for this room. He was very out of order to be asking a customer that question. I am a paying customer and I don't need someone to disrespect me in no type of way. I'm never staying at the Holiday Inn again. And I would never recommend this hotel to any of my friends and family.

We were at a wedding reception in the city and it worked out great! Room was charged to my account before we ever got to use the room. No refund policy if I could not make the reserved date.

Comfortable and good value city centre hotel - great location. The rooms were clean, staff very friendly and helpful, and facilities good - didn't use the little gym, but the business centre was good, and the bar and restaurant were of a good quality. Only complaint would be that I had booked through booking.com for a room with a guaranteed view of the Empire State Building - while we were on the 25th floor we were facing the wrong direction so couldn't see it. Didn't feel like complaining at the time though because I was perfectly happy with everything else - just a warning you might not get this if you book it. After a week in the same room I would probably say the rooms are pretty small - a double room for two people with bags etc started feeling pretty cramped after four or five days! But in general I was very satisfied
