Good clean hotel, with friendly staff
The WIFI had no password so appeared to be on an unsecured network. Couldn't get our VPN to workt so concluded that the hotel block the use of VPN's which seems a bit unreasonable. Open VPN may have worked but we didn't try that.
I arrived like two hours before the check in hour (3:00) and they allowed me to check in inmediately. Staff Very nice. Rooms very clean and very comfortable beds.
Interesting neighborhood with lots of food choices, not too far from Central Park.
Should have vending/ice on all floors. A restaurant would be nice
A cockroach bit my son in law in the shower
Bed is very comfortable and staff are very kind and helpful
We booked a suite in this place two months in advance and when we arrived they informed us there was no more suites available. We had to split our stay in three different rooms.
Valet guys were awesome and very helpful( Oly and Ritchie), very clean hotel, cleaning lady was great. Water was turned off for an overnight 12am-6am for repairs. We were thankful it was done through then night, had some issues with water the next morning and repair guy was at our door within five minutes. Overall great place to stay. $13.00 cab ride to time square
Front desk staff were not very helpful so we went to valet guys with all questions. A little bit of a walk to the subway approx. 8-10 city blocks
Would like a coffee shop/breakfast bar!!! Small restaurant (which was advertised!)
Clean, bright and big enough room comfortable large bed. 15 min to walk the nearest subway and the central park. Microwave and mini fridge in the room.
They did not bring toilet paper for 3 days although I told reception several times, but receptionists never look even your face, they never listen you. If you ask something they reply it reluctantly.
Comfortable beds, quiet, nice and well equipped gym 24/7. Very convenient with the refridgerator in the room to store some soft drinks, yoghurt and light meals since there was no breakfast buffet.
Good gym, service staff super friendly. Very clean.
Reception staff not as good. Pool closed during the day.
The staff were very warm, friendly and helpful.
Liked the location, not quite so hectic like other parts of the city, but that did mean longer bus rides. The gentlemen working outside as bellman were very helpful and very nice.
Refrigerator wasn't working when we arrived. Had to call the front desk 3 times for them to come fix it. Each time told someone would be "right up". We waited 1.5 hours for someone to come. It had just come unplugged which we couldn't see because it was in a cabinet that it didn't really fit in very well. Also, it stunk inside like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. (like old food) Very frustrated with that but that was the only negative.
The hotel is on the Upper East Side, but the far end. The neighborhood is nice, with many restaurants and delis around, where you can get a nice meal. It will take you 15 minutes walking to get to the neares subway station, which is not bad; but if you are thinking that you'd be walking distance from everywhere, this is not the hotel for you. Overall it is a good hotel, comfortable but very basic.
We stayed in one of the suites. The pictures are a little bit deceiving. The room is small. I got the suite thinking that we would have a little bit more space as I was with my two kids. Also, the hotel, whilst it looks new, the final details are not that new, the handles are loose, everything is kinda flimsy, looks like it is going to fall apart at some point.
We didn't want to stay downtown so this was a great choice for us. We walked to the metro every day which was easy for us to navigate. Lots of choice of food around. Neighbourhood is quiet, lots of friendly dogs being walked, so pleasant after the crazy time we spent downtown. You can walk to Central Park. I would recommend this hotel if you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle and happy to walk to metro and walk all day sightseeing. Legs get tired at night! at least it's all downhill on way back to hotel after a long day. $20 taxi from downtown if you don't want to catch metro back.
The elevators are slow. Get a lower floor and use the stairs. Pool opening hours didn't really suit us and having a pool was one of the reasons I booked the hotel. Although the reason the pool is open strange hours is because there is a lifeguard on duty, having a lifeguard is a good thing. There was a family domestic in the room next to us which carried out into the hall at 3.30am, I feel that the guests should have been removed. The front desk told me they had been removed when I rang them again to say they were still arguing. It was a terrifying experience for my daughter, she was crying.
Staff friendly and very helpful.
Wi-fi was slow or not available in the room, but there are computers available in the lounge for guests to use.
Nice decor, friendly staff!
Location worked for us.
VERY noisy in the hallways even at 2 and 4 AM! Suggest you put groups of young men or women near the elevators, leaving the end rooms for others so we don't get awakened.
Need pool hours extended for pool in weekend.
The pool hours are ridiculous. It needs to be open all day and till at least 10pm EVERY DAY. We were there for a visit to Lennox Hill and the whirlpool would have definitely helped my friend who is suffering.
Reasonably spacious and comfortable rooms. Friendly and helpful staff.
Noisy air-conditioning in the room. Absence of a restaurant or cafe (especially for breakfast).
