Nice staff, convenient location
Very small room
Manhattan West Hotel is located a block from Penn Station and one subway stop from 42nd Street and Broadway theaters. The staff is VERY friendly and attentive.
No elevator and stairs are steep. Rooms are tiny even by New York standards - in mine I had to climb over the bed to get to the other side of the bed because room was the same length as bed!! In winter the heat was too high -had to open window to sleep... the bathroom is the smallest I have ever seen and little shower area did not even have a soap dish..
Clean rooms but small Friendly staff and helpful
The bedroom was too small The bed was too small The hand basin outside the bathroom was simply unacceptable! The windows are single glazed so it is very noisy. No milk (or creamer) at the machine for the tea/coffee
Great location in the center & close to penn station - 40 min from the hotel to JFK airport. Good for one night stay.
Tiny bathroom, noisy neigbours & bad noise insulation.
The Staff was wonderfully helpfull and delightful. The room and everything else in it was fresh and clean and hardwood floor does make it feel more clean. The location was perfect and close to everything. Really enjoyed my stay there will definitely check in again.
Location close to Maddison Sq Garden & Penn Station. Despite dilapidation, the room and common areas were clean. Staff friendly and helpful, but they don't have much to work with.
Heating on all the time and no way of turning off, bed positioned right on top of radiator, shabby fixtures and fittings, cramped room & bathroom. No onsite food. 24 hour traffic noise to be expected in NYC.
Very small room, not resistant to wind from outside, noisy, the bed is small
New York is a dirty city
helpful porter and very friendly front desk.
had single room, was way too small, not even room to leave the suitcase open, no elevator on the premise but helpful porter who brings the luggage up and down.
Good location, close to penn station. Staff are very nice and helpful
The bed is too small
The web site was very misleading. The room was small as a jail cell, this was The loudest room I have ever stayed in. The subway grate was right below the window and every time the train went by the building shook along with street noise and dogs barking. It was a joke, reminded me of My Cousin Vinnie. I suppose a decent room in NYC is not Possible for under $350.00 a night. Also the bathroom was About the size you would find on a 30 foot sail boat. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.
Location, staff, cleanliness, just what you need for a few days in the best city!
Rooms are a little small but expected on the city.
the concierge was available, friendly and reasonable. The place was clean and in a decent location.
you can hear everything at this hotel inside and out. The rooms are super small with zero luxury. I got woken up several times by what I could only expect to be godzilla stopping up and down the halls-slamming doors but to my surprise it was the maids! The floors and doors are so poor they exaggerate every noise and it is impossible to get a good night's rest. Worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Would rate it a 1 star.
Pretty small room but great if you are sight seeing all day and just using the room to sleep.
No lift in the building and wifi was a bit temperamental
Small comfortable good location nice staff
The room was literally the size of bed.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Room was tiny. The smallest room I've ever been in.
Everything!! Staff, cozy space, cute amenity, a pair of slippers!! The hotel is in a busy area, which is near Penn station, but even the noise didn't bother me.
Close to Penn Station and MSG. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean.
Tiny bathroom. Needs more outlets. Had to charge phone in the bathroom.
Friendly and helpful staff. Good location near transportation hubs. Clean. Have to pay allot more to get better in NYC.
NYC value prices and small room.
Great service from all of the staff, the hotel was extremely clean and comfortable. A great location and perfect for a short city break.
Service is excellent. They were very accommodating location is great. Pricing is fair
Beddings were subpar.. We didn't have any blanket on our bed, our bedroom floor looked dirty
Location, location, location Friendly staff
No elevator Room too small for double occupancy
Close to Subway Walk to Times Square New Renovation Clean Comfortable Mattress WiFi Helpful & Pleasant staff
Extremely small room Traffic Noise (poor windows) No Amenities
Very hip and stylish rooms. Staff was ver professional and kind. No elevator, but I didn't mind the stairs and the third floor was the highest. Flat screen tv with a decent amount of channels, clean towels, clean room, complimentary coffee, bath items and the best part of it all, just a block from penn station. Easy 5 min walk.
Price was a little bit much but I came over for a concert and wanted something close to MSG and Penn station. Really couldn't complain about anything else...except room was small, enough to fit a bed and to walk around the bed but I was by myself anyway. That does remind me the shower had no place to place the soap or shampoo. Would be nice if they added something.
