I love Hollywood Beach. There's no need to rent a car. So many restaurants and hotels within easy walking distance. Try "Opa' for delicious Greek food and great middle eastern music- catch the belly dancer who does a fun floor show! Fun to take the circuit into town for a change of scenery and cuisine! Check in, no reservation on file, took over an hour to finally find reservation. Booked 18th floor got 37th. No key in lockbox when we arrived. Was never given a lockbox code to retrieve key. The room had to be sanitized and swept by us as had not been cleaned very well. Cushions missing on balcony and chair cushion stains. Bathroom sink plugged and not draining. Spent the first day and half waiting for maintenance to attend to clogged drain. (Said they were coming that night, pinged them and after waiting they said they would be there in morning, pinged them again and they did not show up until 1:00PM. Elevators went down twice and when they were working took forever. Water shut off due to flooding on the 12th floor. Was only one day where we did not have issues. Booking.com nor Hyde beach tried to remedy or make whole for issues. Icing on the cake was Hyde beach extorting $200 for cleaning of preexisting stain on chair and stain in shower. This is one of the greatest beaches that I have ever been to. I mean everything you need is right there. being from out of town and in a much colder climate it was nice to fly there and just be at the beach and the broadwalk with everything that I needed. No driving around all day and here and there, you can just be in the vacation spot the whole time and not have to leave.

The condo was very nice, and we really enjoyed having a kitchen and laundry. However, the pictures weren’t 100% accurate and the laundry was a lot smaller than pictured. The condo was nice, it just didn’t look exactly like the pictures. It was clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable, which was amazing. This was the first time we stayed in an Airbnb, we weren’t sure what we needed to buy or not by and the property management company was very kind and helped us get what we needed. It was very clean, every morning we saw housekeeping washing the outside stone walkways and sitting areas. Staff are friendly, they had beach towels for us, provides toys to play in the sand, and beach chairs to use free of charge. They had the items outside the office and you just took what you wanted to use. Bed was comfortable. This is a family run business not a big chain hotel. We had a room overlooking the pool (Room 208) with a large communal terrace just outside. The room, while small, was well appointed and very comfortable. The staff were excellent (especially the guys in the Tiki Bar) ... thanks guys. I have no idea why it was so inexpensive, but I'm not complaining. Parking was great and is a must in this area. Having two beach chairs and umbrella is a nice touch.
