Recently remodeled. Efficient and comfortable surroundings led to a very restful night. Will stay here again. Arrived late and departed early.
Could have used a blanket for the frosty evening.
central location for sightseeing and eating out. friendly staff, very clean rooms, authentic old-fashioned, but very comfortable furniture gave it a very homely atmosphere. new mattresses and functional electric equipment
October getaway from everything peace & quiet
Great location. Very comfortable. Beautiful rooms. Kitchenette. Amazing price
They didn't have shampoo, so just bring your own
All the rooms were furnished with antiques. The room was very clean and the tv had a good amount of channels. Rebecca who is the owner/mgr. was very helpful. She helped me with my belongings because the stairs were a little \difficult for me. I thought the inn was charming. Rebecca let me look at several rooms to so I could pick the one that would fit my needs.
Stairs are a little steep and are wood. They needed a towel bar at the sink area. Most of the rooms had a very small counter at the sink area and it had a microwave and coffee pot with cups and sweetner on it. This left no room for you make up and toiletries. Drawers would have helped with the problem.
Was able to stay in the room with the canopy bed. Just magical! Loved the staff...friendly and helpful.
My husband & I were pleased with the location.
There wasn't any shampoo to wash my hair. I fell due to an uneven sidewalk leaving my room. Have two badly bruised knees, black & blue bruised upper lip and nose. Will not return to this motel again.
Clean, neat, refrig was a good size, airconditioning was good, bed was very comfortable.
No place to hang many cloths, no hangers. No place to put bathroom stuff -needed a cabinet or table.
The room was lovely and bright. It had a homely feel and was well situated. We received an email giving us exact directions in case we had trouble finding the hotel. What a gem.
The sign outside could be better as it seemed to blend with the trees.
Price and location
clean room, nice bathroom, good bed, pleasant ambiance, nice proprietress, well located in town
room was too close to road (heard traffic constantly), windows don't open, no kitchen facilities, proprietress hard to get a hold of out of office, felt price was high for this quality of room off season.
At the price we paid, it is impossible...and unconscionable.. to understand why they don't have shampoo in the room.
Friendly, helpful owners.comfortable bed, attractive furnishings ,refrigerator and microwave in room
Poor lighting---one lamp in room.bathroom dark--due to low voltage lightbulb . No hooks nor towel racks--- no place to hang towels. Towels and wash cloths looked old.
Laid back and comfortable.
extremely comfortable beds, quiet charm, nice water pressure, linens and bath towels super fresh. The owner was really nice and had we not had a large cancellation fee at the next stop in our trip we would have extended our stay...it was that relaxing :)
Staff were very friendly and accomodating. We arrived later than expected and the manager left the room open for us as they were unable to be there.Room was very comfortable.Would definitely stay there again
the inn was very quaint, clean and had a feeling of home. It was very quiet and comfortable. The price of the room was very reasonable. the bed and furniture in room was comfortable. We had a room with a king size bed in it; the room was very large.
The air conditioners in the rooms are what I call window units in the upper walls. They are loud but was not problem to me or my husband. I wear earplugs to sleep anyway.
Very poor noise isolation to the wall sharing rooms.
Overall a great experience! Very family oriented environment, great facilities, very responsive staff, and a lot of character in this place.
Comfortable bed. quaint little condos.
Need more comfortable chairs in seating areas.
The owner was very helpful in accommodating our late arrival. The place was very clean and the Inn was charming and convenient to our needs
1) I loved the bed! So plush, pretty, and cozy/comfy. Nice pillows. 2) We liked the bathroom. Huge shower, lots of pegs for hanging up lots of towels, which they changed while we were out. A+. 3) We liked the large, flat screen TV and the mini-fridge. 4) We liked being in a separate/away from main building -- felt like we had more privacy despite being by main road. That said, I appreciated the window treatments/plantation style shutters which were both practical and aesthetically pleasing.
1) The decor of the room: the artwork on the walls and their frames were pretty cheap and didn't fit with the nice bed/comforters. 2) My partner liked that we were right off of a main street. I didn't like that we could hear traffic from our room. 3) Most disappointing was the fact that there was no real breakfast or bowls/silverware. 4) We had code for wifi but no wifi was available when we checked for it on our iphones (4 and 5).
I have never been so pleased with a place. The owner was great and the rooms were absolutely beautiful. I will definitely stay again and recommend to my friends. It reminded me of my family home with the antiques and made it feel like home.
Loved the wrap around porch with all the nice seating that could be enjoyed any time of day or night, rain or shine. Also, found the room décor very charming with it's antiques. Nice walking distance to village of Manteo.
