Upon 11pm arrival: check in took over an hour! Clerk had a noticeably
irritated attitude, like I was interrupting his social life. Hotel
allegedly lost my reservation (made a couple of hours earlier), clerk
called someone, recreated reservation after I showed him my confirmation
email, but did not have the room I booked yet charged me the same price
for the lesser room as the better room I booked- first room smelled
& was next to elevator shaft, noisy every time elevator moved!
Changed rooms, got hc accessible room on first floor near main
housekeeping, hall and room smelled like smoke even though posted no-
smoking signs were everywhere, bed was sloped & just uncomfortable,
made with just two sheets & a thin blanket. Too late and too tired
to change rooms or check out of this room i've had 5 minutes I
attempted to sleep (1 am). Hallway started getting ridiculously noisy
including hollering back and forth about 5am, just as it would calm and
i'd try to fall back to sleep it would start again. I looked out in
the hallway,besides a few guests the culprit was housekeeping! Yelling
down the hallway at the top I f their lungs to each other. Never able to
fall back to sleep. Upon check out I explained politely to the desk
clerk about my experience, who listened, but seemed helpless. I asked to
speak to the M.O.D., who couldn't be bothered to come out of the
back to speak to me. Clerk said she'd have them call me shortly when
they became available. She verified my phone # but did nothing else
besides look embarrassed for her employer. I had to leave for a meeting.
No one ever called.
I liked nothing here. Experience from beginning to end was horrible.
