Everything clean and new Friendly Staff Good parking Quiet
The staff was wonderful and I had the best sleep on that bed in years. Maybe it was because I did not have a cat waking me up. But wonderful.
They just completed renovations, but I recommend having yellow pages or some local info in rooms. I was starving when I arrived and wanted to order some food.
very nice room layout.
Staff friendly and helpful
Our room was next to the office and early in the morning we could hear the office staff speaking loudly through our headboard wall. It would have been nice to sleep a couple of more hours...
Location was excellent for visiting family in San Anselmo. Would stay here again.
Still needed a few repairs. Smoke alarm was hanging from ceiling. The bathroom faucet was loose. We couldn't get the bathroom sink to unstop.
Our room was very quiet, large enough for 4 adults. Hwy 101 South was about 2 blocks away. Marin Lodge is centrally located to almost every area we visited. The coffee was excellent! Fruit and muffins were available each morning.
Our room had 2 full sized beds, comfortable, although we are accustomed to queen sized beds normally.
I was traveling with my daughter and we had a room with two beds. The room layout was so nice - different than your usual 'double' room set up. Everything was very modern, the bathroom was roomy and the shower was large with great water pressure. There was a fridge in the room, which I appreciated. The air conditioner unit worked well. We were able to walk on sidewalks (a little less than a mile) to downtown San Rafael for dinner. I would definitely stay there again!
The parking was very tight, but certainly not a big problem unless you have a larger SUV.
location, friendliness, cleanliness
To be fair, the staff on duty said the computer system had just changed, apologized and managed to squeeze the 4 of us in the only spare room (1-bed with mattresses on the floor) and charged us a reduced rate.
Nice, clean, well arranged room.
Our room had no kitchen facilities. More accurate reply above would have been "N/A" but that option didn't exist.
It was close to the downtown and to the main road leading out to Point Reyes, where we visited the Sandcastle Festival. We had a lovely weekend. The room was comfortable for the three of us.
The room decor. Very new and modern. Also comfortable. Excellent facilities, including a fridge, flat screen TV. Free parking and wi-fi.
Noisy AC, also could hear bathroom noise from adjoining room
The rooms were nice and big and the beds were comfortable
There was construction going on so you had to watch your step ! Not within walking distance of anything
They were remodelling and working on our doorstep.
This is such a cute little motel! We were very impressed with everything from the room layout to the decor to the ease of locating. It was by far the nicest place we stayed during our entire road trip!
There is really nothing negative I can say about this motel.
Room neat and clean.
Had 2 reservations and copies of them. They said there records only showed 1 and would only give us 1 room. Did not offer to find another place without us demanding help and manager was upstairs and would not come down to help. Place also undergoing renovation and had know room numbers on the door
We loved everything about this place. It was recently renovated, all white washed walls, new furniture, very pretty and cozy. The bedding was very luxury, we had a great rest. We stayed there before our trip to San Francisco (notorious for horrible hotels) and were very pleased with out choice. It's easy to find (just off the highway, but not noisy at all), the receptionist was really nice too. San Rafael is not a massive tourist attraction, so there is not much to do there as such, but like I said, you can use it as a stopover before SanFrannie. If you want to have a meal/shop around/watch a movie in the evening, go to Northgate shopping mall. It's not far from the hotel.
Work desk area and very comfy chair and ottoman. Bed also very comfy. But the absolute best thing was the ceiling fan. I don't understand why more motel/hotels don't install ceiling fans, would save them a bundle on a/c.
Fridge had no freezer compartment and no visible controls to make it colder.
The inside of the room was not what I expected - and I mean that in a good way. The room was large and very nicely updated (remodeled). It was very clean and comfortable.
The outside of the property could use some TLC - travelers might be fooled by the outside appearance.
The room was largest and well laid out. Bathroom was large and had a great shower. We have been on the road for 3 weeks and this was our favorite place yet.
Can't think of anything.
The location was perfect, close to business district but nice and quiet. The room was clean and there were some nice upgrades I didn't expect at a small hotel. The iron, hair dryer, and baby crib were unexpected but very much appreciated.
The shower had some mildew.
No pool or hottub
Facility is being remodeled so future looks bright.
Only drawback was 8:00a.m. breakfast launch.
Renovations are now complete and nicely appointed. In a quiet residential area so it is quiet but close enough to explore San Francisco. Good value. Would def stay here again.
The gentleman that greeted us was a bit curt, but his wife who we later met was much more friendly.
