The manager Charles and his wife, have just taken over this business. They were truly outstanding hosts and went way out of their way to see that we had everything we needed. Due to the placement of the hotel at a major road junction, and with a railroad track behind it, it could get quite noisy. However, you get used to it, and it is offset by the location which is just a block from the harbor and within walking distance of the city and many attractions.

I had stayed there before so was expecting a similar quality of service and was not disappointed. The management is new but staff were very friendly and helpful and clearly comfortable with offering quality customer service. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Being close to the train line and airport there is a bit of transport noise during the night but this is more than compensated for by the location and price.

The location was the best part of staying here. At reception there's a sign which says be quiet after 9pm yet all you can here is trains/ambulances/cars, its a joke! We were put in this room up a dark alley near the maintenance room which wasnt very nice, the breakfast was not great and a tight squeeze if more than 2 people in the tiny reception area.

The room was ok, comfortable and big enough. The bathroom was too small; the breakfast at the reception unconfortable. The place was really too noisy: traffic from the main street, the harbour, the airport, the train and also work on the street during the night!

Close to little Italy and harbour. We had to move rooms 3 times to be able to get a wifi signal and breakfast is literally served on the reception desk. The hotel is opposite the main highway, has the train line behind and the airport is approx 1.5 miles away so the noise is the biggest issue with this hotel.

Location close to the airport, harbor side tourist attractions and public transportation was handy. Room was satisfactory. Jon at the front desk was exceptionally helpful. Located between troy and Amtrak track and a highway, and being below a flight path made this a very noisy hotel. While the planes and trains generally only pass between 6am and midnight, police or firemen could go by at any time during the night.

we weren't able to sleep at all! The noise came from three different places: 1. the highway which is located in the front of the so cold 'hotel'. 2. the airport you could hear airplanes flying. 3. the neighbors. the acoustic of the room was terrible, you could hear people walking and showering on the above floor.

It is located so close to pier, museums and surrounded by restaurants. We walked everywhere. Its near amtrak station. They serve breakfast in morning. The room had sufficient space, the bathroom was huge. The windows weren't sound proof, airplanes flying around and I heard noisy drunk guests coming in at 220am singing . But they weren't yelling. The wi-fi signal was not strong.

Close to the airport and to downtown and to the Little Italy quarter, even in a walking distance. Staff is quite friendly. Good and free wireless internet connection. Recommended when you don't plan to spend the whole day in the hotel, just a cool place to sleep and keep your stuff, you don't worry about the noise (which you can get use to it) and you don't want to spend a fortune for a luxury suite. Railroad tracks are on the street just above the hotel, so there is too much noise whenever a train passes. Breakfast is not indeed continental, as it is advertised, there are some cereals, some boiled eggs and some prepacked muffins, no bread, no jam/honey, no yogurt, etc. Not to mention that there is no room for breakfast, it is served at the reception and you eat in your room.

Location was terrific. Near public transport., Great restaurants, marina. I didn't have a car and appreciated so many places to visit that were within walking distance. The hotel is located near the airport and transportation depots/stops. There was some noise but it was no big deal.

It was near to downtown, ca 10 min by tram. The public transportation is close, ca 5 min. The parking is free. It is next to the highway, airport and trainstation, so it was loud. For breakfast you could eat muffins, some cereals and fruits.

We were very nice met up by John in the reception, proffessional attitude, great rooms, nice location near little Italy. Very close to the airport and the railway, It's hard to sleep when it feels like a train is running through your room....

The location was very handy - downtown San Diego was within walking reach, as was the main train station (Santa Fe) and airport. Also a trolley station was directly behind us, so it was easy to reach San Diego Old Town as well. There were many nice restaurants and cafes in Little Italy for breakfast and dinner so you didn't have to venture into town at all. The overall decor of the room was a little dated. There were a few roadworks outside of our apartment during the evening, which was a little noisey.

Friendly stuff, good location, comfortable beds. A bit noisy because of airport and train. Breakfast could be better- they could serve yogurt and cottage cheese

“Art, Shawn, and a very friendly, helpful maintenance employee who stated he is always "happy." Art was extremely helpful by having a jug of distilled water on arrival which I needed for my cpap. He recognized I would have difficulty managing those steep pavements to secure the water. Made sleeping a breeze. Your manager Shawn is the type of representation you should be very proud of. He is congenial. Your maintenance refused to take a tip when I arrived only to say he was very happy to asist with my luggage which was cumbersome. also your breakfast setting was clean, comfortable and great. Thank you so much” Jacquelyn, Deptford |

“I thought the courtyard and entrance were beautiful and the flowers smelled fantastic! The front desk service was great! They held my bags after checkout to allow me to walk around the city and then called a taxi for me, when I was ready to head to the airport.” Desiree, Denver |
