Marina del Rey Marriott is located 5 miles from Los Angeles Airport and 15 minutes’ walk from Venice Beach and Boardwalk. It offers a chic outdoor lounge, pool and spa.
Score from 91 reviews Good
While the hotel and facilities are excellent, the lack of a welcoming attitude by the person who helped us at the front desk was something to be desired. This is the only reason I can't give this property an overall "Excellent" review. I felt like we weren't welcomed there~genuinely welcomed.
The service staff were always friendly and helpful, and the restaurant offered good meals. The rooms were reasonably size and very clean.
The exercise facilities could be expanded somewhat. If I had a longer stay, I would definitely need a little more.
Staff and facilities are very poor,it is not worth it to spend money there.
Great staff. New hotel. Secure parking.
Walking distance to marina, and venice beach. Great clean room really comfortable. Parking excellent undercover, breakfast excellent too. Bathroom small but beautiful and clean.
small but good fitness room
The pool is tiny and with a view of the street. The location was advertised as having a view over the Marina - and being right along the Marina - but that meant crossing a busy street and walking a few blocks to any water. The room was crowded. Would not return,
Had problems with the basket coming off the cycle i hired and was located near the lounge area which was somewhat noisy but settled after 11/11.30pm
Good location, friendly staff (Hilton jr.). Good buffet breakfast ($15 ea.)
Kenny (the King) and Ramon (Pope) were outstanding and nothing was too much trouble. Oscar and Dee in the Bar and Grill were also great at what they did and super friendly and helpful.
Marcus, Troy, Rita and some staff that we did not know their names, were excellent in there positions and made our stay feel very special, it felt like our extended family, nothing was to much trouble for them. We would also like to mention that Troy arrange for us to have a driver for our visit to Los Angeles, his name was Aram of Ocean Green Transportation, who was very professional, well presented, had a very clean car and would recommend his company to any one travelling to LA from the UK.
On our last day we had a late evening flight back to the UK. Although we were able to use the facilities in the hotel after checking out at 12noon, there were no facilities available for us freshen up before leaving for the airport, other that using the hotel toilets.
Good Location, clean bed room, security.
The front desk changed and lower my room category reservation due to overbooking reservations . When I complain the front desk staff try to put the reason on one their staff misunderstanding , and the hotel management is not honest. I am disappointed with this treatment and the manager on duty never showed up to rectify this mistake. Hotel management need to impress their gusts not to ignore gusts complains.
We were in a "bungalow" room and it felt brand new and modern. Loved that it was right by the coastal bike trail, and we used it both mornings of our stay. Bicycles available onsite. Safe underground parking included for only $10 a day, and our visitors were able to use it for free.
Location to proximity of leisurely events (beaches, restaurants, freeway access.....)
Good location for anyone spending a short time "passing through" LA. Spent 24 hours there and had a walk around marina del Rey, had lunch in Abbot Kinney drive which had some interesting boutique shops and a variety of restaurants. Then walked back via Santa Monica/Venice beach boardwalk and then the Venice canals. Perfect before getting on late evening flight back to Australia. Staff helpful, room functional and comfortable. Ate dinner at bar which was also most acceptable.
Loved the bikes!
I liked the location close to Washington Place and main street arteries but without the traffic congestion and parking problems. Also it had all that is needed for a comfortable stay and the cleanliness was very good.
The room doors close automatically, which is good, but with a bang at the end. This is OK during the day but annoying when people in neighboring rooms leave their room around 5 am, which was the case every day of my week end stay.
Clean , quiet and only the housekeeping staff were very helpful and was welcoming
The AC units are extremely noisy plus they are not made to have the two queen beds simply because one of the queen beds Are (right next) to the AC unit which make it extremely hard to use that bed,,,when I complained,,,they're saying ..I have to live with it
Onsite parking very reasonable Complimentary internet access Good onsite restaurant Excellent staff create a quality, but relaxed environment
Balcony on Washington Boulevard unusable due to road noise. I felt we should have been advised in advance about the road noise, although this did not intrude into the room and sleep to an uncomfortable degree.
Cleanliness and organization
Poor location for a very high price
Large rooms , newly refurbished , close to Venice beach and the marinas
Convenient location for marina & Venice beach, easy access from LAX, plenty of secure garage parking (at extra cost).
A fairly generic airport type hotel, but an interesting low-rise layout. Bedroom walls a little thin, we could regularly hear phonecalls and snoring from adjacent rooms.
Location, cleanliness, big room, friendly staff
Buffet breakfast poor, air conditioning unit right next to bed
Great service offered by Ramon Himinez, from check in through to check out. Dedicated member of the team.
